I always take my film to be devloped. Helps make the pictures easier to see.

This is why I awlays run my headlins through a spell checker.

That's why I always write "COCAINE" or "MARIJUANA" in big letters on my stash boxes and car trunk.

who develops film anymore?

Film... canister?

How quaint. I don't believe I've seen one of those since 1987.

Oh man, I swear to the Farkonian Gods, I love stupid people.

2004-12-21 01:25:15 PM
Imagine how the developer explained this to his boss and didn't get arrested instead of the person who planted the stuff?

i once dropped off a homemade porno in the bin box of some local video store. (NO, it was not me in it, no, dont ask how i got it)

they called me and told me they had received the 'wrong film'

i went back at midnight and dropped off the proper on in the slot box and never went back.

Safeinsane's Obligatory "When I Worked at a Photo Lab" Comment (suitable for all photo lab-related threads):

...I had a customer accidentally leave his bottle of pills to be developed in the drop box. Evidently, he confused them with the film canister.

On the upside, for the rest of the day the guys at the photo-mat worked with record-setting efficiency.

2004-12-21 01:30:22 PM
that's why you keep it in a can of dip. Kodiak preferably.

2004-12-21 01:31:31 PM
The worker should have kept the coke and got her dog high.

That's the same place I used to stash my blow.

/glad those days are over

What a dummy. Everyone knows the best place to keep your cocaine is in a trash can next to the piano.

Or in a baggy in your stomach.

developed / devloped....is this another one of those proper English vs. American English things?

I can't find "devloped" in my dictionary....

/confused.

Back in the day, I used to keep my Bud in a film canister. And by Bud, I mean Budweiser, that's why I used a capital B.

2004-12-21 01:40:46 PM
What else would you put in those canisters besides drugs??

/do they even make film anymore?

2004-12-21 01:43:27 PM
This is good advice, I'm going to have to write this down.

2004-12-21 01:46:19 PM
a film canister full is quite a bit of coke, prolly bout $500 worth. Poor kid. Poor photolab technician. Poor Dr. Leary. Poor Earth.

2004-12-21 01:46:39 PM
But on the other hand, giving the film developer some cocaine will guarantee that your photos will be done in an hour, or 5 minutes at that.

2004-12-21 01:49:26 PM
Doesnt film have toxic chemicals?

Why would you store drugs in a toxic container?

I just RTFA. This sucks. First, I don't think the canister was 'filled' with coke. It says the clerk 'spotted white powder', then called the cops, who figured out that it was cocaine through a 'field test' (SNOOOOOORT - Whew!)

Why don't I ever end up with a windfall such as this?

/raises fist and curses the gods of fark

Never mind, I found a weed pipe a couple of months ago in front of my neighbor's house and I'm too paranoid to return it.

Shouldn't this be tagged 'PSA' ???

But not your posts, huh? Unless, of course, you're yust yokin'.

WTF? they don't even say how much it was. proally like a .10 of a gram at the bottom of the cannister. If I worked in the lab I would have tossed it out. No need to narc on a dumbass, he would have been killed in an unfourtunate bonfire accident at some point anyway.
I'm sure with a good lawyer he could get out of it.

I have a friend who is a photographer and a pot smoker. When he went to develop some film one day he brought out a film canister, poped the lid off, and hit it on the counter. Instead of a roll of film coming out, a bunch of nuggets scattered everywhere. With one smooth motion he swept them all back in to the canister. One of the customers went "I guess we know who's stacking." I found that pretty humorous.

The plastic Kinder Surprise eggs work very well for all your storage purposes. It's unlikely to be mistaken for anything else. Just make sure the stuff that's being stored is also in a baggy, or it may come flying out when you open the egg.

/I just use film canisters for laundry change

Altoids canisters work good for nugs.

Mistakes were made. But isn't the Dumbass tag a little harsh?

I personally would have written it off as a total loss and not gone back to the store.

That said, some individuals are aware that coke is a harsh mistress. Harsh, but loyal.

"One of the canisters allegedly contained cocaine, while the other one contained film of the suspect himself."

This would be your "open and shut case". And dat's da name of dat tune.

coke is awesome, i can't believe that looser called tha fuzz. all ya gotta do is take it home yourself, or bribe the guy to get it back. either way it's a freebee.
