I don't know about the rest of you, but I can hold my Taco Bell when I have it. And it's kind of obvious that Steak Enthusiast Magazine is a joke of a name. The whole idea behind their current commercials is to mock other commercials. So the joke went over TV Guide's head. They should just drop it.

"Worst...Thread...Ever" raves Joel Seagull of The Terrorists Have Already Won magazine

Dammit, I've been calling newsstands and bookstores for weeks looking for a copy of Steak Enthusiast. NOW you tell me it's not real. You'll be hearing from my lawyers, Taco Hell.

"I can hold my Taco Bell" is the greatest. brag. ever.

I've never understood people who claim to get the shiats from eating Taco Bell. Personally, I think the Bell's food tastes great, it's always hot, and it's filling. I've eaten there a thousand times at least and never had a bad experience. All you bandwagon-jumpers can hop back to bashing Britney Spears now.

Ah, but let us not forget that TV Guide belongs to Gemstar, and Henry Yuen has absolutely no sense of humor.

grumble The next thing you know, they'll be telling us that "It wasn't really the dog talking in those commercials." Like I'm going to buy THAT kind of investigative recording. I'll just go listen to some Milli Vanilli and call someone on my Football Phone.

Why does a can of Alpo cost more than a whole meal at Taco Hell?
2002-03-01 02:10:17 PM
A can of Alpo has better quality products inside of it, because Alpo cares about animals.

damn, we are wearin' out the tag today..

Sayeth the Soupgoblin:

Can anyone say grade "D" meat, the owners of Taco Bell say it all the time (when they are ordering meat products for their stores.
Having worked at Taco Bell for a time, I found that all of the boxes were labelled as "Grade A" beef. Obviously it isn't exactly created to be eaten on a daily basis, but I still eat it after working there.

Exactly, Spam, exactly...

I still think it is funny that pets (Alpo) in this country eat better than most people in the world... God bless America!!!

Perhaps, Konradptr, it's like the massive federal oil reserves. A bit stashed away for when times get lean?

Wow, speaking of Taco Bell, I just let a big one loose in the employee bathroom.

Good acoustics in there.

When questioned about the legality of this ad, a Taco Bell marketing executive (pictured below) simply smiled and said, "Trust Me."

There should be a "Steak Enthusiast" magazine.
We could open our world headquaters right across from wherever the hell the PETA offices are so that our charcoal smoke would waft over all day. mmmmmmmm Steak. :)

Bigass aged angus ribeye, flash blackened on a red-hot skillet, then grilled to the rare side of medium rare.

Tater and asparagus. Mebbe a cold Orval or big fat Zinfandel.

Damn I'm hungry.

Though I can't stomach their food, I really have to side with Taco Bell on this one. They plainly didn't intent for anyone to actually believe that there really was a 'steak enthusiast' magazine. Anyone who could have fallen for that should be sterilized.
