Too bad this person isn't a candidate for the Darwin awards . . . *sigh* . . . I'd say edumacation would help this person, but some people are beyond hope.

Photoshop skills? *Pshaw*

2004-12-16 04:16:04 AM
My photoshop skills went out the window as soon as mspaint became complicated to use. And no, it wasn't due to marijuana. Still haven't smoked any.

Now why is the screen fuzzy? Why does the room move parallel to the sky's falling?

Anyone agree?

We all know that cops have the best weed.

2004-12-16 04:21:29 AM
The cops here will write you a $25 ticket for having two joints or less. They will seize it, and then take it home to smoke. Not worth it to fight a $25 ticket, and so the cops smoke weed all the friggin time here. They make potheads look more sober than a priest in a urologist's office.

Hmm, the wrong leader was former British Prime Minister John Major apparently. I wondered what he was doing these days.

Done with finals.. on to college apps, ugh.

I remember a guy in my drafting class who used to "go to the bathroom" everyday about ten minutes into the class, and come back with a huge grin on his face. He was lots of fun.

It's good to see people doing these things as a family, though. That type of unity is hard to find these days.

Meh. College aps are for Friday after math final. I hate this time of year. Any decent out-of-Cali colleges to promote or recommend that don't have nightmarishly high out-of-state tuition? Already done most of my in-Cali stuff.

/leaving California sounds good

If this happened in LA, we'd all be like, "yeah, that's normal."

I know the community can now sleep at night knowing that the only drugs they will be exposed to are those happy legal drugs supplied by a sanctioned dealer with medical school credentials. I'm surprised that the police, with god's grace, managed to yank one more law breaking heathen off the street. Since our country really has no other worries than the voluntary self-medication of citizens I know that this arrest is really the beginning of the absolute and total victory of the drug war. Now that they have outsmarted a teenage pothead the rest of Nancy Reagan's plan will fall in place. Praise Jesus!

What article was the submitter reading? There's nothing in there about a police cruiser being parked in the driveway.

Good luck on the math final! Washington has University of Washington, and Western Washington University, which are both pretty good, dunno about tuition though. UW has great medical, computer science, language, and journalism programs.

I forgot which thread it was, but someone said that West Virginia Uni is good to go to because there's a severe lack of males and a more than generous amount of decent women there.

What got me was that I found out that it's cheaper (in US Dollars) to go to the University of Manitoba (all fees included) than to go to the cheapest Cal State school (all fees included). How the fark does that happen? Best school in Manitoba vs. cheapest (and lowest) school in Cali.

I think my brain asplode.

And thanx for the luck ihavetwelve. Where are you headed off to?

2004-12-16 04:46:42 AM
Yep, Canada has very nice options for international students. Hopefully I'm off to UW for computer science and Japanese, but that's all dependent on whether I get in or not.

"Defacing" a firearm is altering or erasing its serial number.

Seems like you could have purhcased anything in paramus until that happened..now I'm going to have to start going back to Nordstroms. More retails stores then any zipcode in america, it's really not a town, it's just a reallly big mall

Marijuana was sold curbside outside the single-family house, Smith said. The location was so popular that cars continued to stop at the Highland Avenue spot even while cops were still in the house, he added.

Two men who pulled up were busted after buying drugs from one of the plainclothes officers on hand for the raid, Smith said.

Now that's funny. And one of the rare times I'd have liked to have been a cop and at that bust. Can you imagine the giggles and laughs of being in the house, peeping through the mini-blinds:

"Look, that car just stopped and is talking to plainclothes Joe."

"Aw, man .... they're trying to make a buy.... wonder what Joe is going to do?"

"Look, look... Joe is pretending to sell them some pot!"

"OMG, I wish I had my video camera so I could send a copy of this to AFV."

Good luck! Waterloo is a nice place for someone to get a taste of the 'student life', as probably a good 1/3 of the population of the city at any given time are undergrads. Two universities on the same street can make for some fun parties.

Paramus family peddled illicit drugs at home, cops say

Sunday, November 21, 2004

By EVONNE COUTROS
STAFF WRITER

PARAMUS - A three-month undercover surveillance operation of a home on Highland Avenue has led to 14 arrests for drug possession and distribution.

The suspects include four members of one family.

"It was a family affair," said Paramus police Lt. Kevin Smith. "We were surprised to learn that even the parents were involved."

Police arrested John Major, 20, after a 6:45 p.m. raid on the home. Major was charged with five counts of distribution of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute. Major was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a defaced firearm.

Major ran the operation, but it didn't stop with him, police said.

Arrested for marijuana possession were Major's parents, Margaret, 42, Louis, 44, and another son, Louis Major Jr., 21.

Members of the Paramus anti-crime unit and patrol division and the Bergen County narcotics task force confiscated 120 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of cocaine, and a digital scale, said Paramus Police Chief Fred Corrubia

Authorities arrested Willie Bae and James O'Connor, both 18, for marijuana possession and intent to distribute. Justin Stainbach and Jonathan Seitz, both 18, were arrested for conspiracy to possess marijuana and possession of a controlled, dangerous substance. All four are Paramus residents, police said.

Smith said the drug distribution operation was out in the open, with the suspects selling on the property outside the home.

Cars would stop outside to make buys, police said. Some of the arrests were made as cars left the premises, Smith said.

After police executed the warrant, cars were still stopping at the address, Smith said.

"We had a marked police car in the driveway and eight detectives inside," Smith said. "Stainbach and Seitz pulled up to the side of the house and honked the horn to purchase marijuana. An undercover police officer went out, sold them a bag, then arrested them."

John Major was being held on $25,000 bail at the Bergen County Jail.

Bae and O'Connor were being held at the jail on $2,500 bail. The remaining suspects were charged and released.

i once drove up to dealers house and found a bust going down,i drove off while looking straight ahead.another time i had to go get extra cash from across the street and as soon as i turn around and take 15 steps there are 10+ cop cars swarming the scene,i just walked away.both times i nearly shat my pants...im one lucky bastard.

I got pulled over one time by a seriously overzealous cop, who said, upon pulling me over, "ya know, you have to use your turn signal when making a right turn." The thing was, my turn signals are so goddamn bright, they reflected off the street signs and the hood of the cop's car.

The very next thing he said, without even asking for my license, et al, was "if I asked, would you consent to a search of your vehicle?"

I was quick with the "no."

So he says, "well, that makes me think you have something bad in there."

I gave him the usual spiel, "I'm glad you think so, officer, but there is nothing incriminating in denying a warrantless search," whereupon he informed that "we have a bunchafarkingdruggies (one word) around here, and you just left a 'problem house,'" despite the fact that I was three blocks from the house I had been visiting, and he was nowhere to be seen upon my departure.

After a little back and forth, he decided my firm yet polite assertion of my rights was too much for his fragile ego, and bid me good evening.

I, of course, had just over an ounce of pot in the armrest, which would've been bad mojo in Oregon.

So the moral of the story is: Just Say No, whenever possible.

Well a cop pulls me over and asserted that I was speeding ( I swear it was the guy in front of me ). He asked for insurance and registration and I said, "let me get out of the car and you can get them out of the glove compartment, that's where I keep my gun, I don't wanna scare you by pulling it out." He said nevermind, here's you ticket.

/no drugs evar in the car, gun was.
