I dislike the duke, but I kinda felt sorry for him after seeing the press conferance. He really did love the Sox.
And before you guys murder him, remeber, he got us Nomar and Pedro.
He still sucks, though

Being a Yankees fan is like being the only girl in a biker bar at last call who brags the next day she got some action. Everyone else is like, "So what?"

I'll take watching the Sox just trying to win over bragging about another Wholesale Purchased Yankees Championship any day. Give baseball a salary cap and watch the pinstripe bandwagon fall apart. But a Sox Fan bleeds Boston Red FOREVAH!!

And... Hmm... HOW ABOUT THEM WORLD CHAMPION NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS? What a parade!
Oh I'm sorry New York, you didn't have a parade last year, did you? Bwa-hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

P1C!!! Go Sox!!!! OGRS!!!

(oh and Duke sucks, buh-bye)

I'd say the owners desurve a Hero Tag... You have to respect the Sox, they are a good team... Farm team... But a team none the less.

Their fans take alot of abuse, and alot of "This is the year" and "Next year"...

Now atleast they're heading in the right direction, with mister jack-off-screw-it-up gone the Sox might actualy pose a challange for more than two months of the seaso...What am I saying? THey're still the Red Flops, nevermind that train of thought.

My grand father, is 80 years old, he was born in 1922, and you know what? he's been a Sox fan all his life... But has yet to see them, win the world series. I've been a Yankees fan all my life, I was born in 1971, and how many Yankee titles have I seen?

"As long as the house that Ruth built still stands, the redsox shall not win a world series"

Couldn't have said it better- the yanks beat their farm clubs when they win. So when they lose, like last year, what's their excuse? You gotta suck when you ARE the A-league and can't beat the B-league.

The whole league is the Yankees farm team, that's what makes it so uninteresting when they win. You think Sox fans hate the Yanks, ask the small-market team's fans who have to watch their star players leave mid-season to fill a Yankees roster spot due to injury or lack of performance (i.e. batting under 300 for a whole week). At least the Sox have the money to compete. (Which, admittedly, they constantly blow on has-beens and head-cases).

I don't envy Yankees fans because none of them will ever know the feeling like we had when the Pats won the Super Bowl, and when (Not if), WHEN the Sox do finally win it all, you will see what a REAL celebration is.
