Hey, wouldn't it have been really easy to kill a cyclops? Couldn't you just whip something like a rock at him really hard... or with no depth perceptions, wouldn't they like walk in front of, y'know, rolling boulders and shiat?

2002-02-28 06:15:28 PM
Y'know what I'd like to see? I see G0dzilla's Chupacabra and Monkey-man, and raise him a Batboy vs. Unicorn battle royale.

DrBenway, I absolutely loved that Jason and the Argonauts movie as a kid.. couldn't get enough of it when it came on TV. (before VCRs etc).
As for Sinbad, well, I think he killed people on a boat or something. Did he have the Golden Fleece? Or was that Jason too? Been awhile since I've seen those movies. Classics!
Well, I'm off for home. Have a great evening all!

I guess this lends some credence to the saying, "Takin' ol' one eye out to tuna harbor."

snicker....snicker...

I agree with Vageta00. Elephant skulls are the most likely explination for the cyclops myth in several places. Take a look at this elephant skull for an example.

Not that I believe this story, but similarly, giant squids were once thought to be mythological.

I don't buy that a humanoid skull could be confused with an elephants. I remember seeing a story about pygmy elephants, but still, they're too dissimilar.
