I hear they got that internet on computers now.

2002-02-27 09:33:24 AM
I wonder how he would like it if the tables were turned...

2002-02-27 09:35:12 AM
This needs a shiathead tag.

2002-02-27 09:35:16 AM
But on Tuesday, Courtney said there was no "rational explanation" for his actions.

easy. Money. Big fat stacks of money. "See this hat? It's made of MONEY! What are we doing for lunch today? Oh yeah, we're having MONEY!" (a la penny arcade)

2002-02-27 09:35:28 AM
I am moving to the beach and open up a chemotherapy drug store. Sounds like a win win situation. All the sun and no overhead on salt waters $$$$$

2002-02-27 09:35:57 AM
Diluting drugs...that's just WRONG. Next thing you know, bady formula in my coke.

2002-02-27 09:37:29 AM
is there a "total coont" tag? Or did we wear it out with Enron articles?

2002-02-27 09:38:37 AM
the US needs a "repeated punch in the face" penalty for shiatheads like that.

2002-02-27 09:39:58 AM
After he talks, fry 'em.

2002-02-27 09:41:29 AM
I don't understand what is asinine about it. Is it asinine because the prosecution allowed him to plead it out, or is it asinine because of what he originally did?

2002-02-27 09:42:20 AM
We need a "Waste of Oxygen" tag...

2002-02-27 09:46:27 AM
He struggled against tears...I feel so sorry for him.

2002-02-27 09:49:05 AM
People in the pharmeceutical industry are no more trustworthy than lawyers or doctors when a fast buck is involved.

2002-02-27 09:51:28 AM
I was just wondering the same thing, 9/10

So, he let people die of cancer so he could donate money to his church.

He's going to heaven. Yep.

2002-02-27 09:53:14 AM
Why was this even posted on Fark? It's asinine alright!

2002-02-27 09:56:01 AM
They should give that guy a taste of his own medicine!
(bad pun)but first they should inject him with cancer, so he can die like his victims.

2002-02-27 09:59:39 AM
I was a consultant to the NCI and worked on a system that managed cancer trial patient data. This guy should have his balls cut off and stuffed down his throat. People that participate in clinical trials are often at the ends of their ropes. They just hope that maybe, somehow, experimental treatment will yield some relief. It's bad enough that the patients are not allowed to know if they are receiving treatment or placebo (a necessary evil in clinical trials - double blind testing), but the doctors are not supposed to know this either. He took sick people's last thin shred of hope and violated it in the worst way. Screw the Hippocratic oath, this guy is about as bad as that creap running the GA cremotorium.

2002-02-27 10:05:28 AM
I didn't see anything here saying he was participating in a study-- he was supposed to give people chemo drugs and dilluted them.

I also don't see what's asinine about this. Sick, maybe, or scary. Not asinine. Who the hell submitted this?

2002-02-27 10:07:35 AM

I'm trying to figure out the logic of screwing people out of their medicine so you can give the money to your church.

By the way, did the church get the million bucks? It sounded like they did. I think they should give it back. Of course, the church has a proud tradition of cashing in on human suffering, so that's not likely.

2002-02-27 10:10:23 AM
This deserves a "scary" tag.

He should be charged for manslaughter or murder.

2002-02-27 10:13:54 AM
My mistake - I thought this was one of the clinical trial docs I has heard about while working on that project. This crap happens more often and in more ways than we'll ever know. This pharmacist deserves the same fate I proposed, though.

2002-02-27 10:15:23 AM
Bad_CRC: You're absolutely farkin right on there. I would gladly volunteer to deliver that punishment to this hickdead.

2002-02-27 10:16:55 AM
Oddly, the story doesn't seem to say WHAT he's charged with that can land him in the slammer for 17.5-30 years. Sloppy reporting. At any rate, a good charge would be "depraved indifference to human life"; is that just a fictional crime they made up for the show Law & Order? It'd be the perfect charge in this case, I don't know if they could make attempted murder or even "criminal negligence causing bodily harm" stick. Cancer is so unpredictable that there's no way to know if anyone was harmed (or died) because of his actions.

2002-02-27 10:17:18 AM
There should be a picture of this guy in the dictionary next to the word "Dick"

2002-02-27 10:27:06 AM
"struggled against the tears"? more like struggled to produce some tears

2002-02-27 10:34:55 AM
Hey, tears are salty, aren't they ??

2002-02-27 10:41:59 AM
I'm not a supporter of the death penalty, but I can see some benefit in this case.

2002-02-27 10:52:26 AM
Let's dilute his prison food with feces and his prison water with urine.

2002-02-27 10:57:43 AM
Let's take him out behind the woodshed and beat his ass.

2002-02-27 11:01:59 AM
A girl in one of my classes mother died due to the lack of medication she recieved from this Pharmacist. With all of the people this effected here, I can't believe he may only get 30 yrs...

2002-02-27 11:15:12 AM
Let's get some Chinese college student to pour sulphuric acid over him to see if he is stupid.

2002-02-27 11:19:47 AM
This is what happens when you go to church. In his own words, the man admitted that he did it to make good on a $1million pledge to his church.

WorldWideWank is right...the church probably kept the money in its coffers. The preacher's wife probably drives a new SUV in Georgia-snow while on the telephone, too.

2002-02-27 11:20:19 AM
You're being too kind in discribing this man , he's a BASTARD and all BASTARDS like him should not be hated . Just let them go through the chemo and healing process . This will change their greedy mind for $ $ $ . . .

2002-02-27 11:31:23 AM
Wow, Eddie, your constant arrogant church-bashing never gets old. For a guy who hates religion, you sure do comment on anything Faith related with a religious-like zeal not known since the Inquisition.

What happened? Why so much unreasoning hate, "advocatus diaboli"? Were you an altar boy who found a priest invading his rectum one day? Couldn't manage to pray because the Father's cock was in your mouth and you grew up bitter? Why not quit trolling and let religious people enjoy their Faith?

2002-02-27 11:39:12 AM
Kylie
I can't believe he may only get 30 yrs...

Because white collar criminals are less visually offensive than street thugs.

2002-02-27 11:41:58 AM
Kylie
I can't believe he may only get 30 yrs...

Part of the problem is that we are still a primative visually based society ( for lack of better term), white collar criminals are less visually offensive than street thugs.

2002-02-27 11:45:55 AM
so solly for half double post

2002-02-27 11:47:32 AM
That is true........

2002-02-27 11:48:08 AM
I will accept 30 years as a sentence if he is required to undergo chemo for the entire time. Then he can draw his little eyebrows back in with a pencil so that he looks good for his Daddy.

2002-02-27 11:49:40 AM
Well said, odietamo.
I'm an out and out athiest but if people have faith that's up to them.
But if one more random religious group comes to my door and tries to condemn me for not believing I'm going to kill the lot of them.

2002-02-27 11:50:37 AM
Man, if only we could take street Pharmacist to court for crap like this. That would be nice. Oh well, I hope that he has a misserable reast of his life.

Wonder how well this it is going to go over for him in prison?

2002-02-27 11:53:59 AM
Kylie, sorry to hear that. At a minimum I hope he gets sent to a real prison and not a "country club" prison. Maybe he'll realize just what he did after he becomes some 300-pound guy's girlfriend.

2002-02-27 12:08:30 PM
I lived down the street from this guy before heading to college. It was awesome when the feds went to his house, there were all these typical government cars and all the feds looked they the sterotype with their jackets having FBI on the back. Too bad it wasn't a meth lab though, that would have been a better story to tell people. Although he should still be punished hardcore, he was an ass.

2002-02-27 12:09:18 PM
This story is the most sickening shiat I have read in a long time...

What a sick ass bastard...

My mother has just finished her second course of chemo for lung cancer only to find out it is not shrinking the lesion very much at all:(....and fvck's like this are allowed to live a nice sweet religous life...

WELL I HOPE THE CVNT ROTS IN HELL!!!!!!

2002-02-27 12:20:03 PM
What the hell is up with people being less than extremely phucking outraged here? This motherfarker should rot in Hell for eternity. Christ! Some people are acting as if he merely shortchanged a few junkies on their Vicadin. He killed people for money, and with one of the most horrible painful deaths imaginable. Depraved indifference my ass, attempted homicide more like it.

2002-02-27 12:33:22 PM
Odietamo..

Religious people are not religious because they ENJOY it. They're religious because they either:
a) Are unable to think for themselves.
b) Are afraid to burn in hell.
c) Don't realize how primitive it is to "worship" a "rumor".

Fear is why you are religious. It was engraved in your mind.

I went to Catholic school, I know ALL about religioun.

btw - christianity has killed more people than ALL of the wars combined.

2002-02-27 12:34:56 PM
This guy probably figured "Hmmm they are going to die anyways...". Yeah asshole, maybe because the people didn't receive the right dosage of medication.
I'd give this jerkoff radical radiation treatments until he literally was glowing and his flesh is on fire.

2002-02-27 12:47:25 PM
On second read it seems most people are outraged. It just seemed tempered on my first read because I was so hot headed. You people need to curse more. It will make you a more affective speaker.

2002-02-27 12:47:27 PM
Maybe the majority of these people are going to die anyway..but I for one value every single living moment that My Mother is still here with us...

This prick deserves a hell of a lot more than 30 years..

I do believe there is a god out there somewhere and this at least is something to cling to for when the end does come for my Mom...

But people like this is what I call religous fvcking nuts!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

2002-02-27 12:57:13 PM
I think I have the ultimate solution for this guy..

He should be made to spend those 30 years careing for the cancer patients when they are on their last legs..and I mean everyday and night of those 30 years...

But then again I personally would not let the creep near any one of my family members..

OUTRAGED!!!!

FVCKING PISSED OFF that another human being could even consider treating another in this way...

BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY..for assholes like this.
