my lil' bro plays n64 all the time, i just showed him this article and told him "do you want to end up like this?"

the look on his face was priceless.

heh.

This is a repeat, but she's still a money grubbing whore. It's not like Nintendo sent Mario over to hold him to the videogame.

2002-02-27 07:29:09 AM
I thinks she's gonna get a visit from some plumbers...

2002-02-27 07:32:43 AM
He played only 6 days a week? What'd he do on Sundays then?

2002-02-27 07:34:01 AM
She should be glad this loser bailed out on her.
Give that man a Darwin award.

Jesus, a repeat? And from only yesterday, I think. Hello, is anyone awake here?

I hope the judge tells her that her son was a loser with no chance of going anywhere in life, so she gets NOTHING...

Oh, the inhumanity. The human race deprived of another soul. He might have been the person who cured cancer, perfected cold fusion, discovered the secret to immortality...

Then again, somehow I don't think so

2002-02-27 07:49:29 AM
Ummm, read the article people. This isn't a repeat, this lady beat her son to death with the N64, and now wants to sue the company.
This could make Gamecube games prohibitively expensive.

2002-02-27 07:51:26 AM
"Mr a" huh?

I'll bet your a doesn't stand for anything as good as my B

2002-02-27 07:51:52 AM
"Ah yes, let me sue for the money that that lazy no good video game playing pile of shiat sucked up all of these years. THAT'LL teach him to tell me 'No I don't wanna get a jooobbbbbbbb.........'"

Seriously, this guy was a total loser if THAT much of his life revolved around playing video games.

Also, couldn't have been all that bright, considering the warnings that Nintendo has on the box, not to mention THE FACT THAT HE farkING STARTED TO GET SEIZURES AND JUST BLOODY farkING IGNORED THEN BECAUSE HE'S A TOTAL farkING MORON!!!

I feel better now, thanks :) Hope everyone has a good day (seriously, I mean that, don't see any sarcasm tags, do you?)

I cannot "farking" stand these kinds of people!!! everyone these days are sue crazy! im gonna sue this woman for taking up my own personal time to read about her dumb son who dies from playing video games.

I think a few of the mods fell asleep at the wheel again, more repeats this week then ever!

2002-02-27 08:37:41 AM
Couldn't this bastard get a REAL console instead of a crappy N64?

2002-02-27 08:41:29 AM
It's also hard to see how the woman can seriously expect to sue Nintendo for "her son's lost future earnings" when he was a thirty year old who spent 48 hours a week sat in front of the TV playing Mario.

Best. Quote. Ever.

2002-02-27 08:45:27 AM
8 hours a day, 6 days a week killed him?? WUSS!

2002-02-27 08:45:36 AM
Dr.Pepper: no he couldn't get a REAL console. He didn't have a job.

2002-02-27 08:52:41 AM
Now, if he were masturbating 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, that would be an entirely different story.

2002-02-27 09:00:58 AM
Sheriam:
As per your first remark, here's my guess...
The dude lived with his mom and played Nintendo 48 hours a week. No friends, no women, one obvious choice of what he did on Sundays (sure wasn't going to church.) Let's just say that 6 days of Nintendo gave him strong hands for day 7.

A woman in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

This says it all

2002-02-27 09:04:15 AM
How did I just know this suit was filed in Louisiana?

2002-02-27 09:09:04 AM
Geez, what the hell could you play on the N64 for that long by yourself and stay at all amused? I think he commited suicide.

2002-02-27 09:09:54 AM
Lady, this is Darwinism in action. Your son was stupid. There were warnings, and he ignored them. I'm glad the little SOB is dead, not because he was epileptic, but because he was stupid.

30 and still livng at home and playing video games 48 hours every week? Jeesus! I don't even work that many hours in a week, and I do work full time. Would I be going out on a limb here to ask if this dude was into Star Trek as well?

Frankee-Frank-Frank : MWAHAHAHAHAHA!! Perfect pic!

2002-02-27 09:17:36 AM

Can you imagine her calling him to see how he's doing on the weekends?

"Hi, honey, it's Mom! How are things over there?"

((incoherent gurgling sounds))

"Oh, having another seizure? You must be busy playing that
new Zelda game.. well, I'll leave you to it. Bye, sweetie!"

*blinks*

wtf? :) There's no way she didn't know he was having seizures constantly. She's perfectly right to not interfere with a man's chosen path given that he was thirty, lived on his own, and liked having seizures more than he liked putting the farking controlling down..

.. but she should have the common sense to know that she's not entitled to all of *his* future salary because he happened to die in a behavior which she did not approve of. I can't find a legal merit to the case.

I wonder which lawyer she ran to who convinced her she had a snowball's chance in hell in open court.

*shakes his head* Idiotas.

2002-02-27 09:20:06 AM
So does anybody know what game he was actually playing at the time?

Somehow this story seems incomplete without that detail...

And In Other News....."FARK Has Added A Rewind Icon"

2002-02-27 09:23:55 AM
If 48 hours is all he played, consider him a light player compared to all those everquest/anarchyonline/ultima gamers

2002-02-27 09:34:38 AM
Bunch of whiney 'repeat, repeat' turds. I don't see any gems from your hand entering the fark list. Subscribe to totalfark or shut up.

2002-02-27 09:40:44 AM
I think Fark needs a LOSER icon.

2002-02-27 10:00:36 AM
Now I know how to get a Fark article posted. Rather than try and find a new ones, only to not have them posted, just find one from yesterday, look for another news source reporting it, and resubmit.

Also, Noghg, someone needs to read the article, but it sure as hell ain't us.

2002-02-27 10:08:40 AM
It's easy for kids to get addicted to video games these days. Nothing wrong with playing 'em...hell the target demographics for Playstation is 16-30 year olds or something like that. But 8 hours a day, 6 days a week??!!! Parents, introduce your children to porn before it's too late.

2002-02-27 10:17:24 AM
Mindwolf, how do you know mom didn't beat him to death? The guy fell forward hard enough onto the (console/gameboard/joystcik/whatever the hell you call it) to kill himself? I kind of doubt that. I think mom got pissed at Jr being 30 and playing games 48 hours a week and caved his head in the unit and then set it up as an "accident". Of course the repeated head blows were so obvious she had to give the head investigator a BJ to overlook the obvious...

2002-02-27 10:35:07 AM
"Ummm, read the article people. This isn't a repeat, this lady beat her son to death with the N64, and now wants to sue the company.
This could make Gamecube games prohibitively expensive."

Nodhg: Ummm. No. *You* read the article. Or at least provide us with a link to the one you are referring to, 'cause it ain't the one posted. Sounds like your mom beat *you* once too many times with *your* Nintendo, and your reading comprehension has suffered. Pinhead.

2002-02-27 10:37:22 AM
Doesn't this guy really deserve a Darwin award???

2002-02-27 10:45:11 AM
This guy would be considered a lightweight by the hardcore Everquest population.

2002-02-27 10:46:26 AM
*sigh*
I can't get my articles submitted once yet this is the second double in a week or so.

2002-02-27 10:47:22 AM

On the plus side, when seven year-old girls begin disappearing from the neighborhood, you've got a pretty good idea who's door to knock on first.

When I was about 11, I played so much Mario on NES that when I went to sleep at night I could still hear the music playing in my head.

Not only that, it played in the right order of the levels.

2002-02-27 11:04:35 AM
Chooq Im with you. Theres fark all on the N64 that could be played that long and keep interesting. Maybe goldeneye but that would be played with friends and someone would have probably caught him when he schizted out
