My neighbor was almost made to register because he walked past his 2nd floor window scratching his arse. Some minors said they saw him, though he was fapping, and called the cops. Since innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply in our society with regards to sex offenses, he wound up getting a suspended sentence, but only because the cops testified that they kids wouldn't have been able to see anything even if he was fapping. Instead of having to register, the judge is making him go to sex therapy.

Y'know... I think executing others should be pretty stinking low on your "creating a better world" to do list. I have trouble believing any heart that lusts for blood is in the right place... even if it WOULD be a completely justifiable act. Especially if it's the blood of complete strangers.

The sex offenders had been, or were in the process of being punished for what they did. Flawed though it might be, that is the system we, as U.S. citizens, subscribe to for justice.

Attempts to create justice outside of that system is false justice and those who subscribe to it can't expect the true system to protect them. Personally, I'm glad this guy is going away. Someone who appoints themselves judge, jury and executioner of ANYONE isn't someone I want on the streets.

These people deserve to die. No question about that.

However, vigilantes have a nasty habit of killing the wrong person, so this guy needs to be put away for life, since having no remorse he will no doubt do the same thing once released. And eventually, he'll intentionally kill an innocent person by accident (it's too early in the morning for me to phrase that better).

If he really wanted these people killed, he should have stood for election on the platform of expanding capital punishment. What he did was wrong.

I must have missed a step. Since when is not advocating murder defending sex offenders? Sex offenders are criminals who should serve time in prison. They don't deserve the death penalty.

No. There are two moral exceptions, in my opinion. Protecting your own life, or the life of another. Knocking off pedophiles comes pretty close to that second one.

Actually, what you see is:

1)People rushing to the defense of people convicted of statutory rape, which is a far cry from child molestation. It's not in the same ballpark, hell, it's not even the same sport.

2)People rushing to the defense of our legal system. People believe, right or wrong, that our legal system should be given a chance to work.

Personally, I can't really fault someone who does what they feel is the just thing to do and is fully willing to accept the consequences of their actions (as is the case with that boy who killed his mom's rapist).

I do not condone pedofilia(?) in any way shape or form, but since PART of the punishment is to be listed on the registry, not in addition too, then I am way for it. BUT since someone has done something like that noone has the right to take their life (except the court and a jury). Vigalante justice is just as wrong. Now I have a 6 yr old daughter and I will personnaly go after the pedo myself.
