Ted Nugent unavailable for comment.
2002-02-25 08:43:20 PM
I just want to know, why can't DJ's stick to strippers and making fun of on-air guests, like Howard Stern? Ah, well.
2002-02-25 08:46:40 PM
Okay, many people have mentioned the fact that PETA is mentioned nowhere in the article. How about the fact that no one is getting sued? The suing thing was what got me to actually read the article. The tag made me think, "Wait... so, some guy killed an animal, and PETA gets money for it? I know PETA's crazy, but this crazy?" Well, enough searching through the deepest depths of my mind. Anyway, I would like to know how he killed this animal. Also, if it is a pest, is there a law stating people can kill these animals if it's not in a totally inhumane way? This article hardly gives any information at all.

I love my double bacon cheeseburgers, but this guy is contemptable. Although I can't remember which essay in particular, Albert Schweitzer wrote on 'sport killing':

When will we reach the point that hunting, the pleasure of killing animals for sport, will be regarded as a mental aberration? We must reach the point that killing for sport will be felt as a disgrace to our civilization.(/I)

Even Albert Schweitzer might be tempted to give this guy the finger.

...And why did they name the pig Todd Klemm?

2002-02-25 08:57:10 PM
Oops. Pretty obvious where I meant to close italics I hope.
2002-02-25 09:01:52 PM
Cheddar: yea i understand what you mean, its just one of those funny points that i had to make. its the same way here in michigan with deer. i mean no matter how you look at it, there can never really be a 'pest' animal in a natural sense, only in the sense that people dont want them around. if animals could speak im sure they would say the same of humans 'yea they bulldozed my forest for a shopping mall'.

To paraphrase Ghandi: you can judge the morals of a society by the way they treat thier animals.

Fark PETA. I hope Bubba wins. When he was in Atlanta I thought his show sucked, but I think PETA sucks an even bigger one.

Much better.

What is amusing is that NO ONE READ THE FARKING ARTICLE.

Kolacky got it right by saying it's never mentioned. As to why yours wasn't chosen, I can only guess that it was because your headline sucked. Not to sound like a prick, because I'm not, but the headlines for most farkticles aren't always particularly accurate. If you're looking for accuracy, hit up Slashdot (just kidding).

At lesat your honest and read the articles. I'm not much of a gambling man, but I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that PETA is going to get involved in this one way or the other.

Anywho, folks should shut the fark up and read the articles instead of posting bullshiat. No one wants to hear you. Especially me. Kudos to Kolacky.

Froggy: True. I wonder if there isn't a new generation of surfers who believe that France surrenders daily to every other country! ;-)
2002-02-25 09:22:45 PM
All these animal rights worshippers can go suck an egg.

I hate these animal right whackos. As far as I am concerned, these PETA people should be stripped of their citizenship and deported off somewhere else.
2002-02-25 09:38:23 PM
If it was a dog he killed, I wonder if some of you hosers would back up PETA on this one.

I don't like PETA very much either, but I don't think they're the ones being asinine.
2002-02-25 09:40:41 PM
didn't he actually castrate the pig on the air?
2002-02-25 09:43:03 PM
What a farking moron I am, just read the article. I mean, who'd think that whoever posts the articles would actually READ the articles. There's not a mention of PETA anywhere. This isn't a civil case, it's a CRIMINAL case. So you numbskulls yelling at PETA should shut the hell up.
2002-02-25 09:44:29 PM
Ok, so PETA isn't mentioned in the article. They still suck.
2002-02-25 09:44:59 PM
I hate to jude a book by its cover, but

He should probably be in prison for some reason or another.

Having eaten various products made from similar animals
many times over the years, such as (but not limited to)
bacon, sausage, and pork chops--and I'm sure I'm not the
only one here--I feel my opinion would be negated, since
their demise contributed to my own sustenance.

I *was* just thinking about how difficult it would be to get
booked at raves with a name like "DJ Livin' high on the hog".
2002-02-25 09:46:57 PM
Blah likes to suck a big dick.
2002-02-25 09:47:38 PM
So if he killed the pig on a farm he's not breaking the law, but doing it on the air is a crime? While I don't really agree with slaughtering animals on the air, it's not a crime.

Prediction, Aquital!
2002-02-25 09:49:18 PM
Froggy sucks a big dick.

jude => judge
2002-02-25 09:55:29 PM
I thought I had heard that the pig was castrated before they killed it on the yesterday, although I seem to be mistaken. A castration would certainly warrant the death sentence. No man deserves to have his mr.magoo messed even if it is just a pig!
2002-02-25 09:55:31 PM
Bubba The Love Sponge sucks ass. I live in the Tampa area and cannto stand that loser. The only good thing about his show is Ned.
2002-02-25 09:56:11 PM
I listen to the guy all the time, he is a stern knockoff. He is facing 5 yrs for slaughtering airing the slaughtering of a pig that was trapped by a proffesional hunter. They later ate the pig. He doesnt need to do anything for ratings, he has all of florida, and has just moved into georgia, (air waves that is.) Id hate to sound like a mark towards clem, but this is a big crock of shiat. PETA is the one pressing charges on him, through the district attorney (who btw is so biased its sickening.)
2002-02-25 09:58:57 PM
Even if PETA was in this article, what basis would they have to sue them, if a suit was involved? Unless it was their pig, it is not like they have any damages.
2002-02-25 10:03:11 PM
ned rox, but if you are going to kill a pig, i think the law is you have to castrate it before you eat it. You got to castrate it after you kill it, otherwise it will shoot a lot of testosterone and make the pig go wild, (this is a wild boar btw.) And if you are going to eat it, you want to castrate it so you dont get all the testosterone in the meat, making it more rough and chewy. mmmmmmm.....tender pig.....mmmmmm
2002-02-25 10:03:46 PM
They're sueing on behalf of the piggy.. mmm so tasty!
2002-02-25 10:04:06 PM
Extreme mulletude!

Defendants Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, left, Paul Lauterburg and Daniel Brooks listen during pretrial motions Friday. Defense lawyers failed in a bid for dismissal.

Better article here.

...I know, that's someone else's hair, but what a farked picture.
2002-02-25 10:13:13 PM
I don't care if PETA is right or wrong. Deriving amusement from killing animals is the first sign of a retarded serial killer (statistically). Lock the sick fark away, he and whomever enjoyed something like that are ticking timebombs in our society. I could careless what happens to the defendants.. I would suspect that what has happened so far will be the punishment, I doubt they will do time. But if so, great! A few less criminally inclined tards of the street, in my opinion.
2002-02-25 10:23:20 PM
Whoa that guy has one hell of a mullet...

oh wait that's someone else's hair.
2002-02-25 10:29:51 PM
LANshark likes to suck a big dick.
2002-02-25 10:32:35 PM
Bubba the Love Sponge looks more like Bubba the Idiot Pig
2002-02-25 10:33:09 PM
PETA did announce intentions to sue, whether or not it's in this article. I don't agree with what happened and think this guy needs some massive penalties (along with the station that failed to censor it), but PETA does not have standing. If they proceed with a civil suit and win (some trial judges aren't too fond of making rulings on predentialism), it'll be thrown out by an appeals court.

Get a life, Farkeater.
2002-02-25 11:03:40 PM
Sounds like a real hilarious bit. Haw haw haw. Apparently what they lack in being funny, they make up for by being funny-looking.
2002-02-25 11:25:40 PM
Boars are not typically castrated, because male animals (excluding veal) are not raised for production. Baby boars are slaughtered shortly after birth (not uncommonly by being fed in to a grinder while they're still fully conscious). A small percentage are raised to stud, in which case they would of course not be castrated. This is, for the reason previously stated, that the testosterone released when a boar is slaughtered ruins the "quality" of the meat. Boar flesh is considered lower grade meat anyway. Only pigs are eaten.

This boar, however, was castrated. He was tied down while fully conscious, and an amateur sliced and tore his testicles from his body. His testicles and the surrounding flesh were then cooked and eaten by the crowd while he was still, again, fully conscious. His throat was then slit, and he bled to death right on the air.

It may be worthwhile to consider that pigs are similar in intelligence and temperment to dogs. Would you all not be more outraged if this were done to a dog on the air? As much as I would love to see the goings on of all slaugterhouses broadcasted live, (if slaugherhouses had glass walls and all) this is absolutely disgusting.
2002-02-25 11:29:29 PM
I'm hungry now.
2002-02-25 11:31:53 PM
The first time you gut a deer you have second thoughts about eating meat.

(Then you make a big pot of chili.)

Fark Eater: Why is that so wrong? Big Dicks just beg to be sucked!

Soylent: Are you 100 percent positive that happened? cause if it did, my whole opinion just changed. Lock that motherfarker up for years.

And Im kidding with the first line, just want to see if that retarded attempt at flamebait fark eater reads my enire posts

I grow tired of hearing people talk about all non-human life as being less important than their own. That boar never beat it's children, or mugged someone, or dropped an A-Bomb, or what-have-you. It's bad enough we are born into a society that tries to legitimize hunting as a means of getting food when animals are already bred for that singular purpose. Now we, the noble humans, like getting our rocks off by torturing innocent and frightened animals. It's rednecks like that DJ, and all you delusional, self-righteous morons who egg him on, that deserve to castrated live, on air.
2002-02-26 01:28:22 AM
MrBeefy: i agree with you, but i gotta chuckle at your nickname, considering the way that beef cattle are treated in slaughterhouses...

and yes, i am a vegetarian:)
2002-02-26 01:32:37 AM
Mask Yup. The video is being used in the trial. I did my best to take most of the non-objective parts out of PeTA's description of it. I did find a slightly more general description on a "neutral" website a few weeks ago.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm up for some wild pig skeet shooting.
