I hope he gets off, I mean, it was clearly an accident.

Most experienced sportsmen twirl shotguns around their chauffeurs. It's a symbol of status.

-k.

"Oh hey, that was mighty neighborly of ya Mr. Williams.
Hey fellers! Mr Williams here just turned himself in.
Thanks again Jay, you saved us all the trouble of roundin' up a posse to do one of them ther' investigashuns."

I don't know what I'm talking about. I just thought it was funny.

"Hayden would not say what the exact charge was or how much bail was posted, nor would he say who was charged or with what crime. Investigators are still trying to determine what their job is and how much they get paid for it. They're also not sure why they show up for work every morning. This reporter isn't sure why I'm reporting on this story, nor am I sure there's a story here at all and I'm wondering if we should just go back to the office and figure out what we actually do there or if we have any purpose in life."

Hey, maybe it was one of those tragic incidents like a Globetrotter bit gone awry.
There were obviously two shotguns. Williams picked up the shotgun that he thought had the "bang flag" inside and it was the wrong one. Kinda like the bucket of confetti gag.
What an Arse.

Jayson Williams surrenders after limo driver fatally shot at mansion.

Where does he think he is, France?

Well, we know who gets the part of Annie Oakley in the prison production of Annie Get Your Gun.

This is what happens when you "tie on one" with the Harlem Globetrotters and all their crazy antics.

If I was his defense attorney, Exhibit A would be Jayson's career shooting percentage. No way he hit that dude on purpose.

Which Jayson Williams is this? I know one played for NJ a few years back, and one played for Sacramento.

Meshman, funny!

Hey, Didn't O.J. Simpson's current Girlfriend disappear without a trace a month or two ago? Her dog or cat or something was found dead of starvation. No one has still heard of her.

Shouldn't Jayson Williams learn from O.J.?

Best way to beat the charges of murder is to hide/destroy the body. Tell the cops that the chauffeur decided to take a vacation on some s. pacific island.

Worked for OJ (the 2nd time)

10$ says he get probation if in any trouble at all

Anybody see the MTV Cribs episode with this guy? He's like an overgrown child. If this is his fault, he needs to go to jail for a long time. You can only be careless so many times in your life before you gots to pay.

This is so farking insane!!!! I am so sick of the media expressing remorse for these ridiculous athletes who are dumber than rocks. Williams tried to pass this guy's death off as a suicide. Isn't there something terribly illegal in that alone? Sure, he'll probably get off. why? Because he's Jayson Williams and the public identifies with the persona he chooses to convey while on the air or making statements to newspapers.

Personally, I feel bad for this limo driver's family. Even if it comes out that jayson williams pulled the trigger out of anger, he's still not going to jail for long. This is like OJ all over again. Have you seen his house? He can post bail by selling the garage alone.

*SIGH*
Can we have a photoshop of the above image that Unbrchain posted? i would love to see what people come up with!!!

This is so interesting...I'm glad it was posted twice

It was not posted twice. The first article said he may turn himself in. The one you just read said that he has now turned himself in.

Not the same!

2002-02-25 04:10:28 PM
Never heard of him.

If he turned himself in, that just means his attorney has already gotten him a deal. He'll do six months in one of those Rich Celebrity Country Club prisons. They only let you sleep until 10 am, and you only get to golf one day a week.

He gets to act irresponsibly, without the burden of actually learning a lesson.

I say the chauffer's family should be allowed to skull-fark him.

He wrote in his autobiography that he almost shot New York Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet while firing a shotgun on his skeet-shooting range. And Williams faces a hearing this week on a charge that he pushed a police officer last November in a New Jersey bar.
Oh, yeah, he had no reason to avoid guns or anything. If the guy's just flippin' around a shotgun, what isn't reckless about that? Especially having come close to shooting someone before? And passing it off as a suicide? Sheesh!

I'll tell you what, if I 'm the head detective in this case I'd be questioning everyone individually present at the incident reminding them that they could be an accessory to the crime.
The more I read about this leads me to believe that there was definitely some people trying to cover up for Williams.
If the guy was allowed to die and there was a possibility for him to live, then throw Williams on death row.
