It's so easy to diss the organization and fan base that made you into what you are today. The A's are gonna be world series champs this year, without Giambi. Pitching is what makes a team and the A's have the best young arms in the game. GO A'S!!!!!!

The best talent in baseball comes from the West Coast (California)and most American major leaguers are from there, including the Giambi's. If it wasn't for him being raised on the West Coast he would of never been a baseball player, so WTF is he talking about? Not many good baseball players coming out of NY city are there? Stickball players and cheating little leaguers don't count either. (Good players out of Florida, Texas, and Arizona too)

Yes this is true, the A's fans did nothing but love him but the owners insulted the average A's fans intelligence. They still have 90+ Million (I believe that is what they were willing spend on Giambi) to spend else where. Will they spend it....oppps to late. They never planned on using that money and purposely undershot Giambi's market value so they wouldn't have to shell out the greenbacks. It's that simple.

If their was a salary cap the Expos would be the best team. Their ace would be Randy Johnson.Not to mention they'd have Moises Alou, Carlos Delgado, and every other good import besides Ichiro. It really does seem like the 'pos are just like a major league farm team for big teams to pick out who they want and pay them in money, not peanuts and free carwashes.

In defense of A's fans like myself: Yes, the people of the bay area generally don't know much about baseball. But the select few A's fans (sadly there aren't a whole lot of us) that actually make it out to the Oakland Coliseum know our stuff.

No one is defending the A's ownership here. They are obviously the devils bastard children. I also have no problem with Giambi following the money. What I'm talking about here is Giambi talking smack about the A's fans. The same fans that gave him all there support, even after he choked in the playoffs. Like I said, What a Dick.
