Hey, my first drunken post on Fark. I feel drunk, I mean special. Hopefully this starts off a crappy thread.

"Her would-be captors believe that her past experience -- as well as her brownish color that matches the vegetation -- has helped her elude capture"

Damn Ohioans. Last time something like this happened in Texas, they never spotted the cows again. Although for about six weeks afterwards, Gus' BBQ had great prices.

Her would-be captors believe that her past experience -- as well as her brownish color that matches the vegetation -- has helped her elude capture, Daniels reported.

Apparently the cow was a former Army Ranger. Don't make yourself too stringy, Heidi!

This is fark-worthy, but it's almost sad that so much time and money would be spent in journalism to keep up with a goddamned cow.

2002-02-21 02:03:07 AM
The cow escaped from a meat processing plant... He's running for his life, I find that as really funny for some reason, maybe its just late.

2002-02-21 02:06:29 AM
Daniels reported that several people have seen the cows hoof prints, as well as other messy evidence of her presence.

2002-02-21 02:07:17 AM
No Texans in Cincinatti?

2002-02-21 02:07:32 AM
Go Heidi! Keep runnin'! Don't let 'em capture you alive!
It would be cool if she could figure out how to set traps for her would-be captors, Rambo-style, or jumps off a cliff before being captured. A couple of cow-related injuries would be interesting.
Since cows are showing up in more movies these days, this cow deserves a hero tag.

How long until this cow gets an agent, and signs a multi year deal with Chik-Fil-A?

Anyone Feel like some ribeye?

2002-02-21 06:47:39 AM
Lol,, the local news here is covering it everynight. Its like a huge deal. They're treating it like it's a killer fugitive. They interviewed some 8 year old girl who was asked why she wanted the cow caught "cause if it gets in my neighborhood it might gobble someone up," (or something to that effect).

Its a nice break from "Today 2 men were brutally strangled outside an Over-The-Rhine convienience store that you were at just minutes ago,,, How's the weather howard?!"

2002-02-21 06:59:49 AM
True Drewgrange. It must be nice for Americans to have a story other then the usual daily gun shootings and gangland deaths.

Farkanoid,

Yeah, like that teenage asian boy that was beaten and burned to death in the park...Oh, wait - that was in the UK..

And yes, it IS nice to hear something amusing once in a while.

2002-02-21 09:00:43 AM
I watched a group of people chase a horse that didn't want to take part in their parade one day. They chased it for two hours...after a while you start cheering for the animal.

2002-02-21 09:06:26 AM
Well dang, she "was" never been in a barn? Bertha gimme my lasso we goin in, come on jr. get the horses saddled up we gonna git that cow!

2002-02-21 10:22:49 AM
Oh for farks sake! Isn't there anybody in Cincinnati that can track a COW! When the neighbors cows got out last week we tracked down 40 head in under an hour. City folk. Sheesh.

2002-02-21 10:30:13 AM
Going to be some damn tuff steak.

2002-02-21 10:50:44 AM
Hmm, I wonder if they're filming the bovine version of "Logan's Run". Or perhaps it's Jim Carrey (as Ace Ventura) going undercover in a cow suit.

Personally, I can't wait for the ABC Moo-vie of the Week that will be based on this escapade. Any suggestions for names? "Run, Bessie, Run" comes to mind.

2002-02-21 11:29:35 AM
"Heidi" is a free-range cow, which means she was never been in a barn, Daniels reported.

Aside from being lousy English, it's also incorrect. It means she's never lived in a 5x5 confinement stall, yeah, but never been in a barn?? Stupidest cow-tracking news reporter ever.

2002-02-21 01:14:32 PM
A friend had a renegade cow that wouldn't come into the barn come winter. Couldn't get near her. One rifle shot later and that cow was on the table. Best steak I ever had. Heidi will be fine, as long as they don't overcook her.

2002-02-21 01:29:28 PM
Did everyone miss it? The farking thing was headed for a MEAT PROCESSING PLANT! Just shoot the biatch, drag it out of the woods, and call the farking processing plant and tell 'em, "Hey, your hamburger's ready....."

Sheesh.

2002-02-21 04:51:56 PM
Does anyone else think it is hilarious how on COPS that annoying host always talks about how you can't outrun the "long arm of the law". I guess that excludes cows.

..kinda makes me wonder why i didn't run from the cops last time...OH WAIT..I DID...and got away with one less speeding ticket!

If you've got a head start then don't pull over!
