Don't hate on Taylor Negron. He's the man.

2004-11-10 10:29:04 AM
Oh my God in the early 80's this guy did hilarious stand up!

I have never seen any of the movies he did bit parts, but I remember, this must have been around '82 or '83, he had a joke about the Flintstones, something about Wilma Flintstone being all wired up and wifey huffy about something, and his punchline was about her hair pick:

"Loosen the bone, Wilma! Loosen the bone!" I swear the way he said, pretty damned funny. At the time I thought this guy was really going to be big time with comedy. Anyone remember that?

2004-11-10 10:31:28 AM
Any relation to Chuck Negron, the heroin addict singer from Three Dog Night?

2004-11-10 10:32:26 AM
Pizza guy?? I thought he was the ticket scalper.

2004-11-10 10:32:29 AM
He was pretty good as a stand-up comic in Punchline.

"You don' wan' carpet. You wan' an arearug."

2 points:

1) He is not a nobody actor and has an extensive list of roles - the Fast Times bit was what, 20 years ago? half the people on Fark weren't even born yet. He's a character actor - funny, memorable, kinda creepy kinda biatchy, etc.

2) The headline is played out and not funny at all..."your dog wants..." etc was funny once a week but not 10 times a day. (I'll probably get banned again for that, oh well, someone has ot say it - git it a rest please)

2004-11-10 10:33:09 AM
They've probably bought from the same Dealer, but that's about it...

/Prove me wrong, kids! Prove me wrong...

2004-11-10 10:33:11 AM
I thought Fark "cleared up" that issue of having advertising as actual content. Or am I supposed to believe that the rash of inane G4TechTV links lately has nothing to do with the fact they recently bought ad space on Fark?

/soon to be deleted, I'm sure. Oh well.

2004-11-10 10:34:47 AM
Uhoh, you used a your dog reference, the cliche police are on the way!

2004-11-10 10:35:32 AM
The guy has 54 things listed on IMDB, how is that living off of being the pizza guy?

I remember his standup. He did a bit on MTV one time about license plate numbers being phone numbers for the cars, just so you can ask people to get out of your way. Little did he know that phones would because the scourge of traffic. I dare say he's more a seer than a character actor.

Who is it?

The Delivery Man thanks him warmly, just as Mr.
Hand rages into the picture.

Sweet voice? Warmly? Where the hell did you get that? I don't remember anything sweet or warm in that scene.

I, for one, am looking forward to "Death to the Supermodels".
anything with Sung Hi Lee and nudity has my attention.

ps. sounds like Kaji might be a "Full House" fan.

I have no idea who this guy is, but he does look kind of familiar....

And thats what I want to be a part of: sinister, dangerous, really funny things based on marijuana.

But he sounds like my kind of guy!

2004-11-10 11:29:16 AM
com'on peeps, what movie wasn't this guy in in the 80s? He was in Better Off Dead, How I Got Into College, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, AND Say Anything, not to mention loads of others that I can't remember now. (Crazy mailman, admissions officer, pizza delivery guy, dinner guest who asks Lloyd Dobbler what he wants to do with his life.) This guy had a John C. McGinty-esque "that guy" run for a time in low budget teen flicks.

2004-11-10 11:30:16 AM
I had a pleasant e-mail exhange with the pizza guy from Men at Work, he also played Chainsaw in Summer School.

Bachlorette: Bachelor number 2. If you were an alarm clock, how would you wake me up in the morning?

Negron: With a big dong.

/Great in Punchline as well. "You Vant an Aaarea Rug."

2004-11-10 11:33:41 AM
ohh, and I think he played the Alan Rickman character in the Ben Stiller Show's "Die Hard 12" parody, the one that was set in a supermarket.

2004-11-10 11:33:54 AM
Worst.

Headline.

Ever.

Who is it...?

Pizza Guy...

Right here my man...

Get a good one...

2004-11-10 11:46:52 AM
Yeah, his Stand-up was great. He was on MTV a couple of times on Stand-up Spotlight, when Mario Joyner hosted. I still have that on tape somewhere, too bad I don't have a VCR any more though. You are right about the Flintstones joke. "Loosen the bone Wilma"

"Pablo, get Mr. Hallenbeck a drink and dispose of jakes corpse"

2004-11-10 11:47:55 AM
He lives in a castle in France.

2004-11-10 11:51:05 AM
Bit-player. Essentially an extra with a line or two. NOT a character actor.

Lionel Barrymore, William Demarest, William Frawley, Ed Begley, Sr., Walter Brennan, Wilford Brimley, Steve Buscemi, Maury Chaykin, James Cromwell, and even Jeffrey Jones examples of character actors.

Taylor Negron is a failed stand-up comic, and a bit-player.

2004-11-10 11:52:59 AM
I can't understand why his bit part as the mailman in Better Off Dead cracks me up so much. Still does today.

2004-11-10 11:57:21 AM
"Badger, what's a little boy like you doing with big boy smut like this?"

"Lane, I was wondering if I could take Beth out"

2004-11-10 11:57:25 AM
cool - he was also in "The Whoopie Boys"
hilarious movie, though I was 16 and pretty high when I saw it.

/amadeus, amadeus, rock me amadeus

2004-11-10 11:58:34 AM
Taylor Negron was in a movie from the 80s called the whoopie boys staring Paul Rodriguez and not Andrew McCarthy but someone who looks like him a bit.

Anyway, if you are into crude penis, vagina and sexual humor you must see that movie - I remember watching it as a kid - it was so raunchy at the time...

Negron was cool in the last boy scout because I wanted to jump through the screen and kill him myself.

2004-11-10 12:01:12 PM
Absolutely. Better Off Dead was cinematic genius. Taylro Negron as the mailman, dropping mail as he walks, opening shiat up...hilarious. John Cusack nals his role, and there are some absolutely brilliant memorable lines....

A few, for those who love...

"Gee, sorry your mom blew up, Ricky....."

"Kwisss-massssssss...."

"Everybody wants some....I'LL show you what everybody wants!"

"Tentacles. N-T. Big difference."

"Well, honk my hooter!"

"Mellow off, man!"

"Lane, dear...how was your day?" "Beth broke up with me..." "That's nice, dear..."

...the immortal...."I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!"

"I've gone to this high school for 7 years. I'm no dummy...!"

"He snorts nasal spray...? Know where I can score some?"

"Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is???"

"I'm gonna activate your dental plan!!!!"

"It's got raisins in it......you LOVE raisins....!"

"I know I'm just a cartoon and all..but I was wondering if you'd mind if I took out Beth..?"

I gotta go buy this dvd.

/sorry. got carried away. Carry on.

2004-11-10 12:03:52 PM
PUCKHEAD!

Nice!

I don't remember any lines from that movie except that I pissed myself through most of it!

2004-11-10 12:07:45 PM
PS, the world would have been more fun in the 80's if we had more Savage Steve Holland and less John Hughes...

/except for "The Breakfast Club". Long Live Bender!

2004-11-10 12:16:54 PM
The first movie that stuck in my head was Nothing But Trouble, then the Last Boyscout.

This guy annoys the crap out of me, and I can't quite decide why..he just does.
