Hero tag? Coming back from the dead is quite an ordeal!
2002-02-19 04:25:48 PM
whats up with all these "death" stories lately?
2002-02-19 04:25:48 PM

Excellent precision in reporting. " . . . shallow grave in red clay . . . " The reporter must be a frustrated geologist.

2002-02-19 04:27:57 PM
thats probably the most twisted thing ive ever heard.
2002-02-19 04:28:16 PM
Man... THAT is a sad story. I hope they fry'em.

Although I am from Texas and am not too nutty about 'vengence style justice' per se... These guys need to go.
2002-02-19 04:28:24 PM
He was buried with his dead son on top of him. That guy's gonna have nightmares for awhile.
2002-02-19 04:28:29 PM
Something's missing here. They said the guys were posing as narc officers. When was the last time a narcotics officer demanded money from innocent people?

hmmm...errr...wait...I've been to LA. Forget I even asked it.
2002-02-19 04:29:14 PM
This just goes to show that if you are going to slit someone's throat, you better get it right.
2002-02-19 04:29:54 PM
And it happened in Phenix City -- what are the chances of that?

That is farked up.

These 2 pieces of crap that did this should be medically evaluated to see if they are disease free. If so they should be harvested for organ transplant and at the time of extraction of the organs the procedure should be done without the benefit of anesthesia. Just strap 'em in.
Brutal ? Hell yeah ! Why not? We have tried everything else. You save money on prisons and save law abiding citizens lives. I don't want to hear about ethics and morals, either ! Like all these brutal murderers have any ?! Wake the fugg up !
2002-02-19 04:31:33 PM
The news is so morbid lately....what we need is some kitties!

I suppose you really have to make sure that someone is REALLY dead before you decide to throw them in a ditch. Although this is no laughing matter, this man lost his son, and thank God he had the ability to "rise from the dead" to allow the capture of the killers. There should be a hero tag, not scary Drew.
2002-02-19 04:36:08 PM
Lucky for this guy it was red clay. Red clay is very common in AL, and not easy to dig usually. The perps probably got lazy and only lightly covered the man and child. If they had buried him at any depth, he wouldn't have gotten up.
2002-02-19 04:36:19 PM
Whassup with those kittens, drinking from that pool of blood? That's just sick.
2002-02-19 04:36:23 PM
Swingin' from a farkin rope .. I could not imagine how awful it would be to lose a child especialy to something so heartless ... swingin' from a rope for all to see would be to goo for these idiots.
2002-02-19 04:36:47 PM
Kittens are stupid
2002-02-19 04:37:02 PM
Old news! Al Gore has been back for quite a while. His ideas are the only thing that looks like its been dead for years.
2002-02-19 04:37:14 PM
even the kitty looks sad . . . cute but sad

I'm SO glad I live in AL! Definately deserves the Hero tag!
2002-02-19 04:43:07 PM
Sweet mother of God.

Thanks for the kittens Thorn.

Kudos to the "passing motorist" who would actually stop for a man covered in dirt and blood on the side of the road.

Lucky this didn't happen in Georgia, or they might've tried to cremate him.....huh..... oh, ok, never mind.

"You shouldn't slit my throat, bury me in a shallow grave, and leave me to die, Johnny... My grandmother slit my throat, buried me in a shallow grave, and left me to die once. ONCE!!"

SHIAT--That is a farking horrible story.

These two should be dragged out into the desert for some good, old-fashioned week long torture.

I can't imagine what that guy went through. His kid shot and thrown on top of him? I wouldn't be waiting around for law enforcement to "punish" them.

Anyone else think this is a little suspicious? They shoot the kid dead, but slit the dad's throat and bury him alive? I suspect there's more to this story than the dad's lettin' on! Not sure what, though...
2002-02-19 05:01:11 PM
Here's a pic of the guy, shortly after crawling from his grave:

Two words: Capital Punishment
2002-02-19 05:03:13 PM
Good idea. Let's kill some people for a few dollars so that when the money runs out i can do it again. Life is pointless.
2002-02-19 05:06:24 PM
Surely they didn't mean any harm. It's all just a misunderstanding. Maybe they just need psychiatric help. They'll be better after that. I think they just need a hug.

Absolutely chilling. It would make for the basis of one helluva mystery novel. Something where he tracks them down and slowly terrorizes them, culminating in his burying them alive.
2002-02-19 05:15:14 PM
These guys deserve the death penalty... Even if they were thugs collecting on drug related debts. They still slit the dads throat so the son could watch his dad die, and then they shot the son in the head... How sick... If they had beef with the dad they should have at least let the kid go.
