I will go vote after work. The polling place in my area is the Teamster Temple.

Not sure what they need a temple for.

IM going to get banned from fark today, sometime around 11 AM est.

That will be such a shame. Let me be the first to say just how much I look forward to your extremist right-wing slavering on a regular basis, and I shall miss it when you are no longer around.

in 2000 we had the largest budget surplus in us history. in 2001 he came into office and we got the largets budget deficit in US HISTORY! IN ONE farkING YEAR!

a lot of that is because of the war....like the missiles and shiat. you know...the war we rushed into at the cost of so many lives...

I am an atheist who voted Nader last election.

I am on my way out to vote for Bush in 10 minutes.

..sheesh. If Kerry can't get the "godless-sinner" vote...WTF can he get??

The thought that somebody might actually want to verify that your felons and non-citizens are actually entitled to vote is "voter intimidation," right?

Keep making sh*t up. Keep fearmongering.

At least you are sticking to the Dem playbook. Whether there are voter discrepancies or not, claim there are. No voter intimidation? Don't let that stop you from claiming that black voters are being disenfranchised.

Shouldn't you be out buying homeless votes with packs of cigarettes right now?

Bush can get us in to the apocalypse.

Volcanos will spew menstrual blood and it will form in to Avril Levignes face and she will recite the Good Will Hunting screenplay.

Then sentient razors will bore in to your flesh.

And of course there are the zombies.

Loves me some Patton Oswalt.

So many things to vote for in Cal.

I am re-reading the voter guide here and it is a boring but important read.

2004-11-02 07:53:08 AM
I Just got done voting. I feel like a weight has been lifted. The lines were 45 minutes long at the crack of dawn. Record turnout anyone?

2004-11-02 07:53:11 AM
I'll be supporting a Libertarian for a local office this time around, there haven't been any normal enough to do that, I'm excited. This isn't a swing State at all, but I'll still be voting Bush. Hope no one has to wait more than 30 minutes for those damn people who you can tell have no damn idea who they're voting for in local offices and sit there crawling through the ballots.

2004-11-02 07:53:48 AM
I enthusiastically voted for Kerry last week. The polling place was packed then. With attractive and successful African-Americans.

I think the bottom left half of Shelby County has a surprise in store for Mister Bush. I think there are numerous surprises in store for Mister Bush. Perhaps not quite enough surprises to get rid of Mister Bush, but I am fervently praying. . .

.

Anyone know when we can expect to see the results coming in?

"Bildo:
I'm not even a Democrat. Shame on you for turning this into partisan hackery."

Give me a break... partisan hackery? In this election? You're joking, right?

"I'm also moderately certain that this isn't limited to Republican "challengers", either. There are all sorts of dirty tricks afoot in this election, and it won't do us any good to pretend they're not happening."

Claiming that it is happening when it isn't doesn't do any good. That's just fearmongering and it's sick.

Put down the beer, get your ID, LEARN ABOUT THE CANDIDATES' platforms, THEN go vote.

Don't vote because M&M said you should, or because pdiddy said you will die if you don't. Vote because you firmly believe in the guy you are pulling the lever for!

And if you have the chance to vote twice, do it! No, wait, that's fraudulant. Would you vote twice if you had the chance? I wouldn't.

February?

Oh all right then - here's the Beeb's attempt at a coherent timeline:

President Bush has already jumped out to a commanding lead in New Hampshire. Linky

The very earliest ones should be coming in from about 11pm UK time. If its a close thing it'll be 5 or 6 tomorrow morning before the result is called.

I think the BBC has a timeline.

in 2000 we had the largest budget surplus in us history.

There was no surplus. Claims of a surplus were based on an accounting irregularity - specifically, counting Social Security surpluses, which are not part of the budget, toward the budget deficit, which is, shall we say, highly irregular.

a lot of that is because of the war....like the missiles and shiat. you know...the war we rushed into at the cost of so many lives...

12 years late is hardly rushing.

Liberal Iowans:

VOTE Daryl Northrop for Senate

I have a confession to make. When Art Small, the Democrat, announced he was running at our central committee meeting, he said he hoped someone else was going to run. But no one stepped up for the Dems.

Daryl Northrop isn't a fringe Green. He's intelligent, articulate, and he's running because he WANTS TO, not because nobody else would take the whipping from Grassley.

The two candidates (Small and Northrop) have nearly identical positions on the issues.

Vote for hope. Vote for Northrop.

Yeah, Romney sure is a blowhole.

Shannon O'Brien is dumber than a bag of hammers, that's why Romney won the last Gov election.

I have called the FL voter hotline no less than five times trying to find out my proper polling place for what county I'm in, which I don't know. Palm Beach?

I'm in Delray Beach FL. I would like someone from the State department to know enough about what the flying fark they are doing to have ONE PERSON know EVERYTHING that I can ask questions to.

No wonder this place is so messed up. I can't get ahold of anyone that knows farking shiat about shiat.

No, sir. We have INTERNETS now. Remember? *rolls eyes*

^He may have said this in jest at the time, but it's eerily disturbing how it came to pass.

SCARY.

"Former" President Bush -- I like the sound of that.

I've resigned myself to a Bush win. Anything else will be a bonus. Sorry to say it, but I think Americans are ruled by fear.

I think it's highly important today that people get out to the polls and vote for Kerry.

I think it's even more important today that people get out to the polls and vote, period. Because in the end, whether you're for Kerry or Bush or Nader or Badnarik or Joe Schmoe, the most important thing is that you are part of the process. So get out and vote.

This just in:

Doe to expected rain and high voter turnout, a new issuance has come out:

Repuplicans and Libertarians vote Tuesday
Democrats and Greens vote Wednesday.

Spread the news--we want everyone to have time to vote early, vote often!! ;)

2004-11-02 08:06:32 AM
1) Got my funky 'I voted' sticker on shirt
2) Eagerly await the contested vote/recount
3) Drink.
4) Kerry wins....profit!!

/vote out the Bush Reich

Just got back from the polling place.

Mark another one down for Kerry. :)

There was no surplus
According to the Congressional Budget Office, there was (see table 11). I think I'll believe them.

AM Bildo

The thought that somebody might actually want to verify that your felons and non-citizens are actually entitled to vote is "voter intimidation," right?

..WTF was I thinking!!! You must be right. Paritsan "challengers" would never challenge everyone in line to hold up the voting process. They would only seek to be absolutely fair. You know...just like the honest Republicans that shredded Democratic voter registrations:

pops

I guess I'm being silly and there is just no reason to worry. It's not like some recent election was hotly contested and was eventually decided by the judicial system.

Shouldn't you be out buying homeless votes with packs of cigarettes right now?

..nah...I'm not in a swing state...not worth it. (plus, in CT we usually buy votes with MD 20/20)
