With a possible special guest appearance by: Smookyfufu!

Feel free to throw pies at me in person, or rub my nipples...

Or both, you kinky bastard you.

2004-11-01 01:01:55 PM
Here's what's happening:

The party is taking place at Slate on W.21st street in Manhattan. (clickee, clickee for info)

djemonk has reserved us the VIP room from 8-11...but we might extend that as the night wears on. Our VIP room comes complete with private pool tables, big screen TVs, our own waitress, and a cool crowd of TFers and their friends. They also have a full menu there, as well...which the review says is pretty good food.

So, if you feel like getting your election on this Tuesday night in NYC, come on down and join us.

Peace.

yeah...see ya there, Smooky You gonna' wear that special underwear?

2004-11-01 01:07:39 PM
I'd make the 6 hour trip, but... you know... work and all.

2004-11-01 01:10:18 PM
Are the 1,9,4,5,6 trains near there?

You're tempting me. How many people are going?

And i'll be wearing no underwear. WINK.

2004-11-01 01:11:15 PM
Samn, TAFL...fprgey work and the long drive...think of the few hours you'll get to spend with us...hee hee.

Bu the way, the inital thread was reversed...sorry.

2004-11-01 01:12:47 PM
Ahem...I meant..."Damn, TAFL...forget work and the long drive"

Smooky, they all lead there...that's kinda' why we chose it...well, one of the reasons.

I would like to propose the following rule:

Anyone that talks politics has to drink. Following the election is okay, but "Bush sucks"/"Kerry sucks" means you have to drink.

2004-11-01 03:05:49 PM
I'm just burned out from political discussions over the past 4 years.

2004-11-01 03:09:40 PM
sounds good to me, monk i think it's going to be a small but relatively cool crowd..plus our friends and whatnot. i'm liking it.

2004-11-01 03:36:10 PM
perhaps i can join you guys if i commit a burglary or win lotto...

2004-11-01 03:36:12 PM
oye my friends are hosting a huge party in Astoria now so alas I won't be able to make this one :/ BUT there are plenty of drinking holidays coming up in the next few months.. I'm sure this won't be the last of the NY Fark parties...

Hehe, wonders if any Farker is brave enough to start political flamewars face to face ...

2004-11-01 03:38:11 PM
Hmm, wouldn't be too bad coming from PennStation.

/Jersey Farker will keep this in mind

2004-11-01 03:38:26 PM
Do we get two Magic Cubes (TM)? You know, one for each thread?

2004-11-01 03:42:40 PM
Sorry, I'm going to be at the Kerry-Edwards victory party (seeing as I've been volunteering for the campaign since April and all)...have fun though...

2004-11-01 03:44:19 PM
This will be on the "In the VIP" web site? Not.

2004-11-01 03:45:27 PM
So, if there are in person flame wars there, do you think they'll be visible from space?

2004-11-01 03:48:51 PM
Hey guys. I just moved to NYC and fark. Can I come? Should I come? How best to get there? Help me decide!! Court my vote!!!

2004-11-01 03:48:51 PM
Damn you, NY Farkers. Go ahead, rub your partying greatness in our faces.

/upset that there are no cool Farkers (besides me) in the 9-0-9

2004-11-01 03:49:10 PM
Is this strictly a total farker affair, or will us lesser thrals be welcomed to attend?

2004-11-01 03:49:54 PM
I would be there, but I have to work. After work I plan to participating in the looting of Brooklyn after Bush is proclaimed Emporer of America.

2004-11-01 03:53:15 PM
So how many of you nerds are actually going to come out of the basement into public, and then proceed to log on to Fark on the laptops?

2004-11-01 03:54:09 PM
where are you currently residing JanieJones? I might be able to get you directions to the place, but I know djemonk can get exact directions since he lives down there.. write back in here or email him (email is in his profile)

everyone is welcome Ernie the Fork hence the link made it to regualr Fark :)

2004-11-01 03:54:37 PM
Any gun against machete fights planned?

2004-11-01 03:55:31 PM
*Courts JanieJones's vote.

2004-11-01 03:56:36 PM
Hey guys. I just moved to NYC and fark. Can I come? Should I come? How best to get there? Help me decide!! Court my vote!!!

Don't go! They'll mug you as sense as they sense your newness.

2004-11-01 03:58:18 PM
I don't think this is going to turn into that horrible Leo DeCaprio movie (I forget the name... Gangs of New York?), but always come prepared damngoodshot >:-}

2004-11-01 04:02:48 PM
There will be no sex in the champagne room! I repeat, There will be no sex in the champagne room!

2004-11-01 04:02:57 PM
My preparation includes not living in New York.

2004-11-01 04:03:38 PM
I urge somebody in attendance to keep track of the best politically-motivated put-downs heard in conversation that night.

2004-11-01 04:04:04 PM
Sorry, gonna be drunk because only 49% of the people will have voted for my guy.

The other 51% suck.

2004-11-01 04:04:27 PM
I'm happy for you guys, you can all help console eachother. Misery loves company.

2004-11-01 04:07:23 PM
I'm only going to go as long as everyone promises not to talk politics or the election.

2004-11-01 04:08:16 PM
Your comments are in the other thread, maybe.

Why don't you farkers chip in for some good looking asian girls, have them show up at a club (TBA by yours truly) then stay home. How about that? I'll tell you what you missed in my BLOG.

2004-11-01 04:09:29 PM
When in the bloody hell is there going to be a Fark party in Columbus?

2004-11-01 04:12:33 PM
Well, what do ya know, there's a bloody thing one the left for fark parties... Jesus, how did I get so stupid?

2004-11-01 04:12:34 PM
once your city population reaches a couple million mleahy24... a good 10 people in here coming to NY Fark party out of how many millions of people live in the 5 boroughs:) but you never know... I'm sure some areas of the country have higher basement dwelling nerd populations than other areas

/is there a study of that or a cure for cancer yet?

2004-11-01 04:13:43 PM
I love watching a smackdown take place when someone "mouths off" in a thread. ;)

Another note...
I would love to come, I have the day off tomorrow, but I just don't see the point of driving 3 hours to drink for 3 hours.
Maybe if it is ever on a weekend, we could stay at the in-laws and take the ferry(Seastreak) over to N.Y.

Have fun, and keep the political arguing verbal, not physical.

2004-11-01 04:13:47 PM
I'm betting I'm going to have to wait at least two decades before a fark party is held in Montana.

2004-11-01 04:16:59 PM
Hey! Columbus has... ummm, well, roughly 730,000 people...
#15 in the country though! So, we aren't too bad.

2004-11-01 04:17:14 PM
I would love to meet y'all but election night tends to drive me into "angry drunk" territory. As a rule I try not to socialize on evenings that I'm likely to be pulling out chunks of my own hair and punching inanimate objects on; so I've already got something planned at a "safe-house" with friends within' walking distance of my house.

I wonder who the courts will select this time around?
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR(pops another Valium) RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

2004-11-01 04:18:37 PM
just tell the 3 other people that have computers about Fark.

2004-11-01 04:18:58 PM
Montana is like like Wyoming kalimdor, no one is really sure who lives there and rarely does anyone know anyone from thosee states

/hasn't met one person from Wyoming in 24 years
//lived in a very diverse college town for 6 years and met many Alaskans and Hawaiians

2004-11-01 04:19:47 PM
I have a feeling there wont be too many Polical flamewars at the party, as most of the Fark population that thrive on the flamewars are not old enough to vote, or they still live with thier folks and have to be home by a certain time.
