Awww yeah go sox. Now went I am home from the gym I can enjoy fried monkey and watch the sox win!

2004-10-27 05:40:03 PM
If the Red Sox win, maybe the fans will actually destroy the city, thus eliminating the fan base for any future Boston area teams. That would be great.

2004-10-27 05:40:24 PM
so if they win game 4 is the series over?

2004-10-27 05:41:13 PM
Cool Bush one-finger 'salute'

Too bad it's 'shop'd.

If Boston wins, yes.

Hey IXIJIMIXI,
I see your a big P's fan, NICE! Boyes is sure looking great. I'm a diehard B's fan also. :-]

2004-10-27 05:42:34 PM
I hate the Red Sox as much as I hate bandwagon jumping fans, like most of Fark.

2004-10-27 05:43:24 PM
Wow. Stats Inc. is thorough.

2004-10-27 05:44:43 PM
If there is one team that has the most bandwagon fans, it's the farking Yankees. I hate the Yankees. I can't have enough of seeing them destroyed, demolished, demoralized!

2004-10-27 05:45:32 PM
I wanna see David Ortiz let a ball roll through his legs eventually costing the red sox the game
/I would laugh for days...and then some

2004-10-27 05:45:46 PM
ranold, yeah...they're my personal burden. :D

Boyes is doing well, Colton Orr's looking good in the fights, glad to have Jay Henderson back to lead the team...none of which will mean squat. We'll still choke in the first round of the playoffs ;)

2004-10-27 05:47:37 PM
IXIJIMIXI,
I think they'll go farther than the 1st round. I think Toivonen will have a solid year again and pull some huge playoff wins :-]

2004-10-27 05:49:17 PM
Gotta say one thing about the Red Sox...those fans will stick with that team through anything. Kinda the baseball equivalent of lemmings. ;)

(I keed, I keed)

I dunno about the Bruins. It's a typical Bruins team...phenominal goaltending, decent attempt at offense, no defense to speak of. Ah well, at least they're fun to take pictures of

2004-10-27 05:51:17 PM
So the Sox go from a cursed franchise, with all of the haunting stories that entails (Pesky, Buckner, Boone) to a franchise that wins just about once a century.

In other words, they'll become the Phillies.

2004-10-27 05:52:27 PM
Have you heard the rumor spinning around New York? That the Yankees were instructed to lose by the CIA in order to thwart a planned Al Qaeda attack on Yankee Stadium in the World Series?

I mean sure - how else to explain it?

2004-10-27 05:53:22 PM
nah...the phillies never come close to winning their division

Turn around, every now and the I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round
Turn around, every now and the I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turn around, every now and the I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turn around, every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes
Turn around, bright eyes
Every now and then I fall apart
Turn around, bright eyes
Every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight

Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

Turn around, bright eyes
Every now and then I fall apart
Turn around, bright eyes
Every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time

God...all I've heard ever since I was born was bout this friggin curse...now all I'm gonna hear is about how the curse is broken.

2004-10-27 06:04:09 PM
*yawn*

Even if a dragon appeared on the diamond during the game, baseball will never be anything but torture to sit through.

2004-10-27 06:04:49 PM
I would give anything to see the Sox lose the next 4 games. It would be the most beautiful choke/curse in history.

Bullshiat, you see people everywhere hoping on Red Sox dick, they can't even name their line up, nor the manager before Grady Little.

I'm really curious where people are fed this "NY Yankee hating" bullshiat. It's getting on my nerves. The Sox have the second highest payroll in baseball.

Congrats, Costco is winning the world series.

2004-10-27 06:05:40 PM

what about the Curse of teh Barbarino?

You make a bunch of lame-ass movies, turn into a giant, triple chinned tub of goo, but you still have a smokin' hot wife and women still fawn over you?

on second thought, that curse sounds kinda juice.

2004-10-27 06:05:57 PM
Thanks for reminding us of the Bonnie Tyler song. Now I know what I'll be singing next time I'm drunk.

"Turn around, Bright Eyyeessss!!!!"

Come on now, Smook. You've still got the Jets, er.. I mean, well then there's the Giants... um, well, of course there's always the Bills... uh, um...

/nevermind

If the moon is turning red as blood tonight, and the Sox looking at a sweep, I'd be on the lookout for any 7 headed goats or Jesus showing up.

2004-10-27 06:09:37 PM
Since when where the Cards a flaming lump of pooh? 3-0 down after a season of overachieving is pretty abysmal...

2004-10-27 06:10:08 PM
I'm ready for the Apocalypse now. My friend's prediction- Red Sox will be winning at the time of the eclipse. It'll be certain they will win. Then, during the eclipse, the Apocalypse will happen, thus ensuring that the curse can never be broken, and the game will never end!
/needs to stop hanging out with crazy people

What Clarence said, but I'll add this breaking news on cnn... Yassir Arafat's days/hours are numbered.

YAY!!!!!!

2004-10-27 06:10:39 PM
Thank you very much Red Sox fans.

Thanks for your SOULS. Every damn last one of ya.

I have given the Red Sox a cinderella-style date with destiny.

However, if they do not clinch the Series by the time the lunar eclipse reaches totality (11pm tonight) I will pull the rug right out from under them and the Cardinals will win four straight and the streets of Boston will flow with blood.

And every Bostonian will look down at their socks and see the blood stain. And they shall no forevermore why they are called the Red Sox.

Good luck. Don't drink and drive.

/Satan

I was really hoping for a game 7. Not so much because I wanted a close series, but damn, the news footage of Boston, win or lose, on Halloween night, after game 7 at home, would be priceless.

2004-10-27 06:11:43 PM
jesus has been there all along...
johnny is my homeboy

and i REALLY apologize for posting the lyrics to total eclipse of the heart, but i couldn't resist...
that song is teh 5uXx0r5

2004-10-27 06:12:31 PM
wow... bob shaugnessy, a boston reporter, just spoke of what will happen WHEN the sox win the series on sportscenter. ooooooh boy, i hope everyone comments on a sox win being a foregone conclusion... a perfect setup for a 4 game stl run.

not that im a fan of either team, or the great big pot of shiat and steriods that baseball has become in general, but the cards winning would crack me up.

2004-10-27 06:15:00 PM
oh, and how great would it be if they get to game 7, on halloween, and the sox bring in mike myers to close?

freeeeeeeeeeaky.

go SOX!
then, go Steelers, and end the patriots' streak.

I don't know about all that. It is just one game, after all.

I would give anything to see the Sox lose the next 4 games. It would be the most beautiful choke/curse in history.

Naah, we already saw that one when the Red Sox spanked the Yankees.

/O's fan who will root for anybody EXCEPT the Yankees

2004-10-27 06:24:50 PM
Smookyfufu--I am going to go ahead and agree with you totally. Red Sox fans suck. They are rude, annoying, ignorant (like you pointed out), and useless, or at least at my college they are. They load up the bandwagons and then curse the Yankees as if they know anything about the sport. A girl died in Boston, for God's sake. That is pathetic.

/Bitter, bitter Yankees fan.

2004-10-27 06:25:16 PM
The Yankees? You mean the Cheatees?

2004-10-27 06:29:11 PM
The Jets are going to the playoffs. And they're going to beat the Pats at home

Keep on bandwagon for the Patriots and Red Sox! It makes me laugh.

Congrats to the real Red Sox fans though... its funny how Yankee fans bought you guys beer and had fun with you guys after game 7, yet we still get a bad rap.

2004-10-27 06:29:20 PM
Fact Check:
- The Celtics first of 16 world championships was won against whom? St. Louis.
- The Bruins first Stanley Cup was against whom? St. Louis.
- The Patriots first of many Superbowls to come was won against whom? St. Louis.

The Opportunity to prove once and for all Beantown's dominance over America's crime capital?

Priceless.

WWJDD?

2004-10-27 06:32:13 PM
Hey guys, interesting fact for you. Did you know that the Red Sox have the second highest payroll in baseball? I'm not sure if you knew that. I haven't seen anyone mention it before. But it's true. The Yankees have the highest but the Red Sox have the second highest.

Just thought you'd like to know. You know, in case you hadn't heard it before.

/ second highest

Mr. Clarence Butterworth

I think that should be their official name from now on.

Cheatees: The Breakfast of Non-Champions.

The Opportunity to prove once and for all Beantown's dominance over America's crime capital?

Detroit?

Which series are you watching again?

2004-10-27 06:35:31 PM
Prediction: as soon as the elcipse reaches totality, the Cardinals will make a miraculous come-back and win the game. Momentum of the series will shift. Cards will become the second team in history to win four in a row after being down by three. They will win game seven at Fenway on Halloween.

2004-10-27 06:36:24 PM
No, its DC.

And its funny when you guys mention calling Yankees the "Cheatees" when Pedro was beaning people on purpose... but hey, its okay, you're bandwagon Red Sox fans!

2004-10-27 06:37:35 PM
Hahaha DaNightTripper that is awesome.
