idiot:"You honor, i swear, ive got my act cleaned up, im off pot for good. I jsut need anotehr chance."
judge:"well, while id like to think you deserve another chance, you choice of apparel leads me to disbeleieve you."
Idiot looks down at huge pot leaf on front of t-shirt he wore to court.
idiot: "Damn."
Hilarity actually does ensue.

When they asked him if he swore to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, he answered:

She don't lie
She don't lie
She don't lie

The suspect was then also placed under arrest in connection with the shooting of the sherrif. Charges for the shooting of the deputy were dropped.

"Would you wear a shirt that says 'marijuana?'"

Actually, I do, all the time. However, since I quite doing drugs a long time ago, it's really just camouflage for the real potheads.

Bill_Wick's_Friend: excellent :)

2004-10-22 12:42:05 AM
Ha, those Clapton references made me chuckle. Although I think Marley is the original one responsible for the second...

2004-10-22 12:43:49 AM
man, that's just the kind of T-Shirt I'm looking for-- Something real, something true.

2004-10-22 12:47:40 AM
Would you wear a shirt that says 'marijuana?'"

Well, he wore a shirt that said "cocaine". I imagine it's not too far a leap.

2004-10-22 12:49:12 AM
Judge Fang gave him the cookie cutters.

2004-10-22 12:50:21 AM

Good on you... keep those coppers guessing!

Any body remember the "Damn Fool" bit from The Chris Rock Show a few years back...

And everyone knows a marijuana shirt is a gateway shirt.

It's 9 a.m. I have to appear in court in 2 hours. Sober? Mostly -- Some more mouthwash and another cup of coffee. Who'll notice? And maybe a swish of Night Train for a bracer.
Clothes. The thrift-store dockers are mostly clean. If I put them in the dryer for an hour, they won't look so wrinkled. The socks are rancid, but who'll know? Shoes'll be hidden behind the bench.
Shirt. Hmm. The button-down one is pretty stained, and that black Raiders shirt is full of holes. Oh wait -- my "WEED" shirt is clean and even smells kinda good. Oh yeah.
(Hey, spare some change? Yeah, well, same to you)
Okay, here I go.... Bring on da judge! Bring on da judge!

2004-10-22 12:57:44 AM
Is it okay to do a line off the defense table ?

2004-10-22 01:01:02 AM
I'm sorry your honor. My heroin shirt is at the cleaners and lent my
CrystalMeth shirt to the guy you're about to see next.

/ got nuthin but hey its late

2004-10-22 01:01:21 AM
"You are not going out with a shirt that says fuggin' 'cocaine' on it! Sharon!!"

2004-10-22 01:02:50 AM
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

2004-10-22 01:04:03 AM
Freedom of speech. Bad taste isn't a crime, but should be.

2004-10-22 01:04:51 AM
marijuana sweatshirts are a gateway clothing item leading to...

cocaine t-shirts, which are a gateway item that eventually lead to...

heroin tank tops

/why do you think they call it dope, man?

Yeah, this is a perfect case for the Darwin award.

2004-10-22 01:14:57 AM
Cookie for Dorf11.

2004-10-22 01:17:48 AM
"Next time a police officer sees you wearing a shirt like this he'll confront you," Lin was quoted as saying. "Would you wear a shirt that says 'marijuana?'"

He was wearing a shirt that said "cocaine" of course he would wear a shirt that said "marijuana." This judge is a dumbass.

2004-10-22 01:21:06 AM
Re: Darwin award

You do realize someone has to die or otherwise render themselves incapable of reproduction to get a darwin award, don't you?

2004-10-22 01:24:09 AM
beer4breakfast -

yeah, Bob Marley wrote "I shot the Sheriff"

2004-10-22 01:25:58 AM
Shake'sPizzaBoy,

What kills me is that the judge thought that the "marijuana" shirt would be an extreme example that even the guy wearing the "cocaine" t-shirt would understand.

/farking liberal judges
//always legislating from the bench
///double sarcasm

2004-10-22 01:28:46 AM
Think is I'd like to think that a person could get away with a shirt like that in the US. Freedom of speach and all, but the judge would tear me a new one here too.

To bad we can't all be Larry Flint.

2004-10-22 01:33:38 AM
This one's pretty cool...I'd buy it if it the price was right, and I was in a good mood.

2004-10-22 01:35:24 AM
I bet jailarity did ensue tho...

2004-10-22 01:39:53 AM
If any of you have time on your hands, go down to the courthouse and sit through a day's worth of similar ridiculousness. Watch your tax dollars dwindle away over some of the stupidest people you've ever seen. If you're expecting the stereotype of underpriveleged folks beaten down by the system, get ready for a surprise.

2004-10-22 01:42:08 AM

I got the image from mutts site.

My friend has basically the same shirt. Black Market in Toronto used to sell them, anyone know where else I can get one in Toronto?

2004-10-22 01:50:57 AM
Why wouldn't he dress up or wear something nice for court? I bet if he wore his nice vintage Iron Maiden concert t-shirt, he would have been all right.

2004-10-22 02:01:16 AM
I would just like to add that Bob Marley did not write "I shot the Sheriff" - Peter Tosh did while the original Wailers were still together. After the split Tosh gave the Wailers permission to continue performing and even re-publishing the songs he wrote so long as he could perform and publish his own versions as well.

/reggae nerd

2004-10-22 02:08:25 AM
Judges are so uptight these days... Now if he was doing cocaine I can see him getting a little huffed but...

2004-10-22 02:18:54 AM
Is wearing a horse tranquillizer shirt.

2004-10-22 02:19:43 AM
beer4breakfast - and J.J. Cale for the first.

/still funny, though.

I for one, would like to thank you sir, for taking some of the heat off me while i'm normally dressed and blazed out of my mind.

2004-10-22 02:34:20 AM
Hey, the guy only got a $510 fine, and that was presumably for his actual drug charge as well. He probably made more than that from betting his buddies he'd do it in the first place.

/worth it

2004-10-22 02:38:22 AM
$510!!!!!! Oh my god!! For a narcotics charge?! I'm moving to Hong Kong. For the quality shirts of course. All mine say there made there anyway.

/Presumes other sentance followed

He was only charged with posssion of 3 E's, and none of the articles I googled say anything about another sentence.

A simillar thing also happened in the US, but more for political reasons. There's a picture about 1/4 of the way down the page.

2004-10-22 04:22:01 AM
FYI $510 HK is roughly equal to $50 US. You can't really buy weed here but I am assured that the hash is the best quality in the world.

2004-10-22 05:30:49 AM
Obvious coke Ho.

2004-10-22 05:58:14 AM
judge biatchslapped ho for being so stupid and then made him turn tricks

/got nothing.

2004-10-22 06:19:46 AM
Any chance this guy plays in the NBA?

2004-10-22 06:27:15 AM
I have a question... does jailarity ensue???
