Ahhh, I see. No heirs, know what that means? The estate escheats to the state (they get it all).

Unless the half-sister is considered an heir?

That judge will be visited by three ghosts.

Well, one ghost.

Will or no will. I'm coming back to haunt everyone.

Shiat if Hoodini promised his wife they'd communicate in the afterlife if it was possible and that never happened, who does this dead schmuck think he is? Boodini? Wow ... that was lame.

You're not Church... Church was blue!

2004-10-22 02:41:49 AM
Even if he can't haunt him in this life, the dead guy could just wait in the afterlife as a ghost. In the interim he'd start enlisting some other unsavory ghosts to help rough up the judge and fake relative when the time comes.

Don't be fooled. Changing the will will prove to be a bad dectision. Two more soon to be victims in a casual ghost-on-ghost revenge story that ultimately affects us all.

But my will won't!

2004-10-22 02:53:40 AM
It would be SO cool if there was a "follow up" to this, with the judge begging to reinstate the will because the old man's ghost was wreaking havoc on his life.

2004-10-22 02:56:34 AM
Might as well ask Babe Ruth to come along and help with the haunting, since the Babe just got evicted.

/woohoo, threadjack

holy fark, if the guy asked for his FRIENDS to have his stuff who is this biatch half sister? i mean god this is ridicuoulus, the man is dead. the one thing he could control after his death was taken from him. i know he doesn't care but i do, it shows that maybe i really have no affect on the future. even on the one thing im supposed to.

hope this was in boston...start a new curse before the 86 year old one is old and busted...go cards

as i understand the curse they can't win the series.. sure babe let em win against his own team, but maybe he's pissed off they let A-Rod slap like a girl instead of a man and punching the pitcher just for the hell of it.

Like Rutir said, this is pretty sad. The guy's will was specific in how it split up his posessions among his friends, and now this judge is going to invalidate the whole thing and give all his stuff to his half-sister?

It said there were many people named in the will. If his half-sister wasn't one of them, he probably didn't like her, and that's really awful of the judge to nullify the will and give all his stuff to the one person that he specifically didn't want to have anything.

2004-10-22 03:57:13 AM
Rest assured, that long after we are dead and gone our relatives will hate eachother because someone will feel slighted by the distribution of the scraps of our life.

Farking scavengers.

2004-10-22 03:57:21 AM
Agreed Rutir. Hell he probably didn't even known about this half-sister or they didn't talk for decades so why should she get a damn thing? I hate crap like that. My aunt and 2 uncles died within 2 years of each other recently and I had to handle the estate and their some people coming out of the woodwork, you know, "cousins" and crap from 50 years ago. I'm like where the fark were you when they were dying? Bastards.

2004-10-22 04:25:51 AM
All right, that's it, I swear to god, Caboose, your ass is haunted. When we're done here, I'm gonna haunt you.

2004-10-22 04:38:44 AM
This half-sister and judge are biatches. If the guy did not want to give her money it's his choice damn. He can do whatever he wants with his money damnit. Who they are to farking mess with the farking process?

2004-10-22 04:45:02 AM
"There have been no reports of mysterious late night occurrences by either the half-sister or the judge." No hauntings either.

2004-10-22 04:52:54 AM
What the fark, a 1/2 sister doesn't DESERVE anything. A NORMAL sister doesn't deserve anything. My siblings deserve NOTHING from when I die. If I have children, they can have the shiat, but I hope that guy comes back from the dead and totally poltergeists that fark face of a judge and his total dirty slore of a 1/2 sister.

2004-10-22 06:46:51 AM
This is why you spend all your money before you die.

2004-10-22 06:56:13 AM
seems to me that the "witness" part only covers the signature not the content. as in: "by signing i wintness that i watched he/she sign this."

and yes people who challange wills and the judges who rule for them deserve to fry.

2004-10-22 07:40:24 AM
If the memory manages to stick around in my brain long enough, I'll haunt these asshats myself.

2004-10-22 08:45:30 AM
The level of ignorance about wills, intestacy, attestation, the purpose of witnesses, testamentary capacity, etc demonstrated by today's Farkers is truly staggering.

Call it a flame if you want, but it's true.

There are requirements for executing a valid will for a reason. Every state has the requirements spelled out in its statutes, and for a judge NOT to invalidate a will that fails the requirements would be contravention of the law. Call your representative in your assembly if you want, but they're working off several hundred years of well-developed precedent, whereas you're working off ignorant indignation.

kronicfeld:

I agree with you... except this happened in Norway.

2004-10-22 09:00:11 AM
"I agree with you... except this happened in Norway."

Then people here are even less likely to know what the rules and requirements are, and their indignation is even more absurd. :)

Don't forget poland. :P

2004-10-22 10:01:30 AM
People just don't blurt out they're going to haunt people like they used to (in the older days, I guess). When I read about high profile executions, I halfway expect to read the condemned's last words to be a 'haunt you for the rest of your lives' threat.

2004-10-22 10:06:27 AM
leave it to a greedy-ass woman to not follow a man's dying wishes.

2004-10-22 10:13:35 AM
kronicfeld, they may have been working off of the letter of the law, so maybe the judge isn't a complete asshat, but that dirty, trasy, bottom-feeding two-bit whore of a half sister of his is definately an asshat. Anyone that goes and challenges the last wishes of a dying man deserves to be blowed up really, really good.

The guy should take a cue frome everyone's favorite friendly ghost, Church, and take over her body and walk in front of a bus. Then he can REALLY have it out with her.

2004-10-22 10:56:10 AM
Plan: a tortured soul comes back to seek justice for the wrongs committed against it in life.

Execution: Booberry.

2004-10-22 11:19:09 AM
"but that dirty, trasy, bottom-feeding two-bit whore of a half sister of his is definately an asshat."

It's quite amazing that you can say that with such conviction given the lack of relevant facts.

"Anyone that goes and challenges the last wishes of a dying man deserves to be blowed up really, really good."

I can make up a hundred scenarios where any rational person would absolutely agree that such so-called "last wishes" could and should be challenged.

Your children don't necessarily DESERVE anything.

its a shame that the legal profession can still screw your estate over after you die.

but then most in that profession are shameful to begin with.

/glad i figured that out before starting law school.

"but then most in that profession are shameful to begin with.

/glad i figured that out before starting law school."

Maybe if you'd bothered to go and get some understanding of the profession and the judicial system, you would have learned that your preconceived bias was wholly off the mark.

2004-10-22 12:12:29 PM
dont worry, kronicfeld. i dont miss being a part of a profession that does what they do.

unlike most in the profession, i have a conscience and can tell right from wrong.

you would'nt happen to be a attorney?

2004-10-22 12:27:54 PM
That's one hell of a no-contest clause.

2004-10-22 08:28:35 PM
My goal is to die broke, but be rich the day before I die. I need a message from god or something the week before saying, "by the way helios, you are dying on the 15th, you may want to throw a huge party and live it up for the next week."
