How stupid was it that the Yankees fans were chanting "Who's Your Daddy?" when they were down 8-1!?

That kind of confused me as well, but then I remembered back to physcology class and the lecture about delusional fans.
2004-10-21 12:21:56 AM
Who gives a shiat about the world series. fark YOU YANKEES.
2004-10-21 12:22:07 AM

I just wanna post my headline again.

"Boston in World Series. Stienbrenner fires everyone in Yankee Stadium; digs up Billy Martin and fires him again."
2004-10-21 12:23:01 AM
As far as I know, MLB has outlawed chewing tobacco by its players. And McDonald's hamburgers have allowed the U.S. to rule the world since the '60s. Now STFU you Canadian (probably French at that!)
2004-10-21 12:23:02 AM
Biggest chokers in Major League history? That can't be a good title to have.
2004-10-21 12:23:03 AM
Hey, does anyone have that Nelson Muntz/Yankees thing, the one with the eight Yankees and Nelson in the middle? I think it was taken off the thread from yesterday.

2004-10-21 12:23:10 AM
I have never seen anything like the past four days of baseball. Way to go Sox. This is gigantic.
2004-10-21 12:23:16 AM
touching commercials
2004-10-21 12:23:29 AM
I'm still in a heady euphoric drunken shock but I thought I'd check into Fark to see if Smookyfufu's head exploded yet.

Boy it sure it quieter in here.

Um, I didn't know the Sox were a NASCAR team.

Series MVP -- Curt Schilling!!! (though David Ortiz is a hard choice to pass up)

It has to go to Ortiz, although Schilling deserves some kind of reward for putting up 7 innings with that ankle.
2004-10-21 12:23:56 AM
Boston just succeeded in paying off my new boat. Beautiful.
2004-10-21 12:24:13 AM
Is this the greatest choke of all time or what???

Oilers vs. Bills?
Greg Norman?

This has got to be the worst....
2004-10-21 12:24:53 AM
Baseball has definitely not outlawed chew tobacco CatsRGreen, the Sox' first baseman had a big tin in his back pocket
2004-10-21 12:24:57 AM
Honestly now, I submitted this with a much better headline.
2004-10-21 12:25:07 AM
Ya know, all kidding aside, I gotta give props to the Yanks. They played a good game. I mean games 4 and 5 were almost 6 hours long! The Yanks just couldn't pull it off. Good job from both teams, but ROCK THE FARK ON FOR THE SOX!!
2004-10-21 12:25:26 AM
2004-10-21 12:19:35 AM apoplexy
Haha, FredGarvin. How stupid was it that the Yankees fans were chanting "Who's Your Daddy?" when they were down 8-1!?

I couldnt believe this when I heard it. I was like "uh, guys, I don't think you understand..."

This really was pretty cool, like seeing (sports) history happen, but it's gonna make the fall that much harder when they crash in game seven next week ; )
2004-10-21 12:25:29 AM
Wow, all of Boston is going to be hungover, tired, and happy tomorrow. Yay us! More importantly, George Steinbrenner is somewhere having an aneurysm-- Schweet.

And I can hear it coming from in-town: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
2004-10-21 12:25:31 AM
Isn't this the first sign of the apocolypse?
2004-10-21 12:25:32 AM

Don't like baseball, but I'm gonna be very amused when they lose the world series in the 73rd inning of game 7. Don't tell my girlfriend I said that.
2004-10-21 12:25:48 AM
Red Sox didn't win the World Series yet people.

Curse lives on.
2004-10-21 12:25:57 AM

It just shows they had some terrible luck.
2004-10-21 12:25:58 AM
I live in Madison, WI. Here, we party for the badger's winning and halloween. But for this, the drunken mobs are out in force to celebrate! Wisconsin sez fark you yankees, go BoSox!
2004-10-21 12:26:03 AM
"Boston in World Series. Stienbrenner fires everyone in Yankee Stadium; digs up Billy Martin and fires him again."

Thanks for the laugh. I could see him doing it.

The main thing that we do
is to rock your sox off
2004-10-21 12:26:46 AM
Damon leads the way tonight.
Beltran leads the way for the Astros.

Anyone realize the connection?

Hint: look at the opposite end of the baseball spectrum
2004-10-21 12:27:06 AM
Dont worry, I am sure someone in NY is working on how they can buy the series next year...

Without parity my Royals are always going to be doomed to be a farm team for the big boys...

We had Damon not too long ago...

Coming from a Yankee fan....

Although the yanks lost and the sox won, I hope that Schilling (sp?) drunk hehe... Is ok. would hate to see him so messed up he ended his career. He is really class. Good job Schilling in the series.
