Sorry to hear that, I just dealt with them last week and they did the same thing. Said they couldn't fix my car without totalling it but then wouldn't total it and said it could be fixed????

Geico sucks.
After charging me hundreds more than they quoted me, one day one of their "customer service" reps called.

Rep: Yeah, it looks like you've been in six accidents? You didn't mention that before.
Me: Uhmm, no I haven't.
Rep: Well, yes, it says right here: six accidents.
Me: ( Wondering if I had maybe gone crazy and somehow forgotten, as he was hell bent on convincing me I had six accidents, but.. ) No, I really don't think so, etc.

We do this for quite awhile. Finally, he says he'll go check it out.

He comes back.

Rep: Oh. You were in a six CAR accident.
Me: There ya go! I told you about that.
Rep: Well, until you prove that it wasn't your fault, your premium has been raised $75, due immediately.

WHAT. EVERRR! I had to go thru a whole rigamarole to prove it wasn't my fault, and it took them forever to give my $ back.

Standard practice or not, they were very rude and expensive.

I have made it my mission to tell everyone, don't go to Geico.
