then dies due to fapping farkers.

2004-10-11 11:38:13 PM
Hush up you- that cat rocks.

2004-10-12 12:07:32 AM
Poor kitty, why would someone do that? If you don't want the cat, there are people that do.

2004-10-12 12:08:34 AM
Sorry, but how does this make the kitten a hero? All it did was not die. It's lucky (or unlucky, after winding up in that situation) but a hero? No, this is a totally inappropriate hero tag. Add another phony hero to the list of little girls trapped down wells.

2004-10-12 12:11:37 AM
The highway workers were heroes for rescuing the cat (and ultimately giving it a good home). Yay!

2004-10-12 12:13:15 AM
You watch that kitten, lordnaughty. He'll make us proud.

That cat will do great things one day.

2004-10-12 12:23:34 AM
Yes! Kitty power!

SierraMist picked up on my intentions ... the highway workers are heroes.

see, now here's a cat, Moe, who was thrown out on a highway near me but retrieved by a similar hero - saved from certain death to be Mr. Sunshine With Claws around the house.

anyone who saves animals is a hero in my book.

If you had ever seen the bridge that this kitten was thrown off you would know why he is a hero- It's the I-75 Bridge over the Ohio River and it's a 2 story (travels north and south) that has cars racing over it in both directions 24/7. Between the roaring noise, the cold weather, no food or water- that is one tuff lil guy. I doubt I woulda lasted half that long without taking the plunge. I'm glad that someone has taken him in- may he have an uneventful life from here on out with a sunny windowsill to lie in and lots quality petting time.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense. My cynicism about phony heroes led to me misunderstanding the intent.

I've seen the bridge. I still don't think the kitten is a hero. It had a sucky experience and survived. Big whoop.

I'll shut up now. My point is pedantic, and people won't agree with me, so I won't troll.

2004-10-12 01:08:22 AM
What good is a bridge story without a troll?

I know, it's a pity to see it wasted... maybe one of the trolls from a political thread will take a detour to say how immoral the kitten was, or that cats are the Devil's familiars, or that this kitten was complicit in Candidate X comitting war crimes, or that it helped Candidate Y dodge the draft. The possibilities are endless, but if we all work together, we can make this a truly unpleasant thread to read.

(and in case sarcasm and irony are beyond said trolls, remember that I didn't mean anything I just wrote.)

Poetic justice would be to find the asshat who tossed the kitty, throw him over the side of the bridge, and see if he can manage to grab a girder on the way down. After three days, let the highway workers haul him back up.

lordnaughty- I for one am willing to forgive you for the horrific kitten anger that you have inside of you. I would be happy to buy you the drink of your choice at the next TFer Happy Hour. I think we can all be friends.

2004-10-12 02:25:50 AM
I'll kill it in about an hour.

I love kittens. Especially with fava beans and a nice Chianti.
/Anthony Hopkins Ripoff

Really, I'm only angry because I get all stupid over kittens, but I'm allergic to them so I can't keep them. Makes a man sad.

Anyway, I'll have a Pink Pussycat to drink.

*rim shot*

I think "kill kittens" needs to be the new filtered phrase du jour.

2004-10-12 04:20:48 AM
Yay for stories like this!

What good is a bridge story without a troll?
Oh but there is a troll, Soulcatcher, there is.

*gives lordnaughty the hairy furry eyeball*

This means that somebody, somewhere, just got caught masturbating.

2004-10-12 04:42:01 AM
Feh....big deal.

/wipes off dripping irony.

Picking their way along a catwalk below the lower deck, Darrell Dudgeon, an engineer specialist for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and his cohorts from the Ohio Department of Transportation heard the unmistakable wail of a feline in desperate straits.

haha

2004-10-12 04:44:02 AM
it's my fault. I'm getting old, I let kittens pass by...

2004-10-12 04:45:26 AM
Back on terra firma, the kitten is flourishing in the care of Huber and his fiancee, Tonya Huber.

Excuse me??? Someone called Brian Huber is marrying someone named Tonya Huber?

2004-10-12 04:47:14 AM
oh little kitty...tell me what to do with my life!! I'm thinking about....getting into male modelling....or high finance.

2004-10-12 04:48:03 AM
Now, the A$$hat who threw the cat off the bridge in the first place should be shot in the face, point blank, with a 10 gauge, because it's bigger than 12. Or at least thrown off the same bridge, just to see how he likes it.

2004-10-12 04:49:01 AM
StealthRecorder,
Around here..(cincy).. that wouldn't surprise me. Good thing it wasn't a black cat or they would have shot it.

2004-10-12 04:51:05 AM
"I assume somebody tried to throw it into the river," Dudgeon said.

OOOOOH! That makes me sooooo mad!!! WHY would someone DO that??????? I totally hate PETA people, and I like my steak as much as the next gal, but darnit, people who deliberately do stuff like that should have it done right back to them. maliciously causing injury or harm to any living thing is just disgusting and deserves punishment.

I see that photo of Mr Sunshine and I just want to reach out and scratch him behind the ears. Good looking cat!

2004-10-12 05:11:19 AM
To bad he couldn't make it to the "catwalk."

2004-10-12 05:28:37 AM
Fear not, citizens, for when I finally lose it, three of the people who will die in my shooting spree have been the direct cause of the death or serious injury of cats and/or dogs.

2004-10-12 05:31:02 AM
Wow. What a brave little kitten. And what a stupid a$$hat throwing it into the river (I wonder how many of its brothers or sisters weren't so lucky?)

XXXXX BUSH SPOTTED CREATING A GAME WITH FELINES XXXXXX

Bush has been in Ohio a lot the past few weeks. A friend close to the President has revealed that he "fears the President has an addictive joy of cat tossing now that he can't soothe himself over with spirits. It's an acquired taste: this cat tossing, but it can be learnt."

According to the Drudge Report, he wants to go to Africa and shoot a lion too. "I feel important after killing game," the President said to a source that shall remain anonymous. "Every Presidential Library should have a random cougar or dead gnu hanging up the wall. I likes the agate eyes."

The President went on to say: "I reckon it's an expression of my gun owning rights. I feel it's hard work but I feel like Hemmingwade or somethun after shooting wild animals. It's what Descartes called the Noble Savage feeling."

As for the close race Bush said, "Ohio is a swing state. Good place for some clean, wholesome fun and swing a few cats and watch them try to find their way back down the old oak tree. Good simple fun."

Redeveloping...

Well, in the absence of Oolong pics, have some kittenpile.

2004-10-12 05:35:46 AM
If anyone can find out who did this, they deserve an arse kicking and their throat cut.

2004-10-12 05:39:56 AM
Excuse me??? Someone called Brian Huber is marrying someone named Tonya Huber?

Well, it is Kentucky, after all.

2004-10-12 05:57:06 AM
I get very, very angry when I hear of people abusing animals. I'm glad this little one got a good home. A pox on whoever threw a kitten off a farking bridge.

SFY

Brotherlove-Well it took long enough! I was just about to say...

2004-10-12 06:47:25 AM

Guy Incognito: Your cat looks alot like my kitten Gingervere. He followed me home one night, so I had to keep him. He's the smartest cat I have ever had. Even though hasn't figured out he can't catch the ball when I play pinball.

If I didn't already have 4 cats I'd adopt this one.

2004-10-12 06:58:16 AM
Damn, here is the kitten link.

2004-10-12 07:06:36 AM
Yes! I'm merely confused by cat-haters, but those who would actually toss one out the window like that make me seethe.

2004-10-12 07:45:26 AM
Wonderful kitty PBWS!

I'm with you on that Darkhop.
Animals and children.. I don't get it.

2004-10-12 08:04:32 AM
um, brian huber and tonya huber are have the same last name, AND they are engaged?

/wonders what exactly they do with the cats.

2004-10-12 08:08:26 AM
Poor kitty!!! Applause to the workers who saved him. And big fat KICKS TO THE ASS to the clown who pitched him. I hope karma throws you off a bridge, pal.

2004-10-12 08:25:07 AM

Obviously, the bridge was unguarded.

2004-10-12 08:27:43 AM
If anyone hurt either one of my cats, i'd have to hurt them..

Princess

Tiger

It's probably already been said, but this is a sure sign there's been a major lack of prOn on FARK.

2004-10-12 08:50:22 AM
AWESOME WAY TO START THE DAY!! WITH A TRIUMPHANT KITTY RESCUE STORY!

/unaccustomed to this feeling...is it happiness?

2004-10-12 08:53:15 AM
One day, if I go berserk, I'll be known as the first serial-killer that targetted animal abusers only.
