Kudos to the submitter for writing such a clever mind. Kudos to the article writer!

Good thing I wasn't there. I've seen too many zombie movies and would have probably started beating on his skull with a hammer.

I'm not dead!

Ahhh! Talking, lying zombie!! Kill it!!!
2004-10-08 09:45:41 AM
and I am not believing !!
2004-10-08 09:46:20 AM
dead TIRED!

but i'm quite refreshed now, thank you!

"Bring out your dead"

"I'm not dead yet!"

Seems to me someone made a few extra dollars for pickin' up someone not entirely on death's door yet. Scary.

Good thing he was taken to a better hospital and pronounced "alive"
2004-10-08 09:49:18 AM
At 3pm Friday, local autocrat C. Montgomery Burns was shot following a tense confrontation at Town Hall. Burns was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was then transferred to a better hospital where doctors upgraded his condition to alive.

Headline made me LOL.
2004-10-08 09:50:26 AM
Who trained those farkin paramedics?
2004-10-08 09:51:00 AM
Oh come on, Dick Cheney's been pulling that trick for years now.
2004-10-08 09:51:05 AM
This same scenario happened to my grandfather early in the 20th Century. He was injured, had a very poor pulse rate and they thought he was dead. Toe-tagged him and took him to the morgue. He woke up and there was a black man attending at the morgue. My grandfather swore the man turned white.

Could you imagine? Waking up in a morgue toe-tagged dead?

Let me state the obvious, right now:

2004-10-08 09:55:45 AM
"The attendants ran away because they were shocked"

Poor bastard needs medical attention and these jerks just run away.
2004-10-08 09:57:13 AM
I wonder if anyone actually shiat their pants on this one. That would scare the BeJebus outta anyone.
2004-10-08 09:57:51 AM
2004-10-08 09:59:41 AM
I think the article says more about the skill (or rather, lack of) level of the paramedics.

Come on, South Africa, you can do better than that.
2004-10-08 10:00:04 AM
Being that I can speak from morgue and mortuary experience, this sort of stuff has always popped into my head if I let my mind wander. I'd probably have run, too. Or just shat myself.
2004-10-08 10:00:35 AM
Awsome headline. That's how it's done!

/short. simple. hilarious. BRILLIANT.
2004-10-08 10:00:44 AM
Your zombie wants brains.
2004-10-08 10:00:58 AM
Wan't this in an episode of CSI?
2004-10-08 10:01:03 AM
From the article:

Moodley said the attendants were being treated for shock.

Anyone else find it odd that the ATTENDANTS were the ones treated for shock, and not the guy who woke up there?

I thought my name was unpronounceable, how the fark do you say Thobani Ngqulunga?

Thobani isn't so bad, but the hard "Ngq" must be a telemarketer's nightmare...
2004-10-08 10:07:09 AM
its so funny that people who work in the morgue can be so easily spooked. i mean, they work in a morgue.
2004-10-08 10:09:21 AM
"Oh come on, Dick Cheney's been pulling that trick for years now."

wow im still laughing at that
2004-10-08 10:09:38 AM
Paraphrasing Dennis Miller: "The best job to have would be a mortician, what's the worst that could happen? On your absolute worst day at work... someone comes back!"

>>The man had been involved in a car accident somewhere in the Umbumbulu area...Is that anywhere near bumfu*ked Egypt?

All I can say is before tagging us & putting us in the draw in the wall they should leave us laying out for a couple days in case we decide to wake up.
I mean damn how many people have been creamated or locked in a box before they could let anyone know they changed thier mind & decided to come BACK???
Sorrrrryyyyyy.....too late.
2004-10-08 10:16:39 AM
send more cops
2004-10-08 10:16:56 AM
They should've just called the Worcestershire sauce hotline.

Thobani Ngqulunga!
I've just met a girl named Thobani Ngqulunga...
2004-10-08 10:26:23 AM
If only the hospital had of chopped out all his vital organs for transplant stuff like this wouldnt happen - so everyone become an organ donor, to save mortician's assistants from heart attacks!
2004-10-08 10:28:25 AM
Hello, my name is Thobani Ngqulunga...I mean John Smith. Have you heard about Amway?
2004-10-08 10:28:41 AM

2004-10-08 10:36:34 AM

2004-10-08 10:36:50 AM
Good thing I don't work in a morgue. I'd play so many pranks on my co-workers they'd be scared sh*tless! LOL!

If I remember correctly, wakes became part of several cultures precisely for this reason - giving people three days grace just in case they were alive.
