WorldCitizen: I'm glad we agree that all politicians are scum-sucking catfish. But you claim that (paraphrasing) "Repubs. act as if they're high&mighty and above immoral behavior..."

1. No real argument from me...

2. Ironically, I see the exact same type of behavior out of Big$$$ Democratic Party supporters. If Babs Streisand and every other big Hollywood star (why are they still living in the USA? Weren't they gonna leave if Bush was elected?) were committed to saving the universe from poverty, they wouldn't be living the ridiculously-lavish lifestyles they do. ALL Democratic party supporters who make millions/year are, by definition, total hypocrites, as they should be giving all that money to the 'less fortunate'.

But of course, none of them do. Because they are democrat hypocrites and have zero intention of actually benefitting society.

But damn - do they have millions of people fooled!!!

Ah gee, Astrocat: If you admit you're crazy, it takes all the fun out of calling you crazy. I have to go clean my pants now.

There seems to be an assumption that anyone who dislikes Bush must be a "liberal" who likes Clinton.

Sorta like if you don't like Coke, you must like Pepsi, or if you don't like the Big Mac you must like the Whopper, or if you don't watch Survivor, you must watch Temptation Island.

Stupid, stupid farkers.

Some of us are suspicious of persons who wield enormous power, no matter what party they come from or whether they claim to be "liberal" or "conservative." And some of us can look past the Washington media charade and see that we are not being offered real choices. I know that's hard to understand for those of you who worship either the elephant or the donkey, but please try.

Lies of ommission are still lies. When Bush answers a question with "I haven't done any drugs since 1974" that isn't answering the question. If I were given a math problem "What's 2 + 2?" and I answered "Greater than 3" my answer would be technically correct but not the answer I was looking for. When a question is asked that has a definite answer that answer should be given.

2002-02-07 03:26:27 PM
Astrocat, do you carry around a piece of wood to talk to when you are walking on the streets?

"You guys get upset too easily."

Not "upset," simply amused. But seriously, you really do not believe what you post...do you?

2002-02-07 03:29:25 PM
I post the facts as I see and believe them, you betcha.

2002-02-07 03:31:17 PM
When a question is asked that has a definite answer that answer should be given.

"Let me say this one more time...I did not have relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky".

Boorite:

"Some of us are suspicious of persons who wield enormous power, no matter what party they come from or whether they claim to be 'liberal' or 'conservative.'

Thanks for that piece of wisdom... I was trying to get at that earlier but I didn't explain it as well as you did.

Hotdog: He lied. However, bickering about past evils does nothing to correct present evils.

2002-02-07 03:33:42 PM
Wow, flamewars are just too much fun. There's nothing better than watching Republicans try to somehow justify their support for GWB indirectly. Like, "Oh, he didn't do x, y and z, so he's better than Clinton."

I challenge one person to come up with one thing that GWB has done that you thing resulted not from his situation or from the smart people that are surrounding him, but that actually came from him and his supposed intelligence.

Educated people are often smart, but education does not make a person smart. Look at Ted Kazcynski.

And yes, you can definitely buy your way into good schools, just ask my friend who didn't get into Duke with a 4.0 when another of my friends with barely a 3.0 GPA got in because daddy went to Duke and donated lots of money.

That's the whole problem with Conservatism, it encourages a focus on the past and no thought about the future. Hence, Bush gives a tax refund to everyone because "hey, you earned it, cuz we're out of debt!" With no regard to the future. Now we're screwed because all he could see was the past.

2002-02-07 03:34:50 PM
"Let me say this one more time...I did not have relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky".

Hotdog: Yes, that was definitely a lie. I he would have just said "None of your damn business", that would be truthful, and I would have more respect for him today.

2002-02-07 03:35:25 PM
Beelzebubba: I won't disagree with you that there are a lot of hypocritical Democrats. There are also Democrats that act holier than thou (Lieberman for example). Yes, living in a $20 million house and claiming to be the champion of the poor can reek of hypocricy. I am not one that thinks that if you work hard you should not be able to enjoy your money. You can be well to do and charitable. One must question those with lives well beyond well to do, however, that screem of social injustices.

And I really hate Streisand. *skin crawls*

Easy. He had the sense to surround himself with intelligent people.

Willy lied to Congress. He lied to a Grand Jury while President!....that's a FELONY. Why does everyone gloss over this?

Had that been you or I, it's a all expense paid vacation in Sing Sing.

Hotdog:

It wasn't exactly legal to be a coke-snorting, DUI-driving, AWOL from the Air National Guard while he was defending Texas from the Viet Cong Bu$h either (not to mention that the FAA should have revoked his pilot's license because of the DUI). But very little of this has ever hit the mainstream press.

I had to listen to that Clinton stained-dress thing for months on end - and that was all a special prosecutor that spent millions could get out of the Whitewater thing - and it wasn't even related to it!

All I want is a special prosecutor right now going up against the current administration who has as much leeway and financial flexibility as Kenneth Starr did. That would be something with some substance.

DrBenway, "...wacky latex suit..."

I think I will keep it -- hoping to get another gig soon.

2002-02-07 03:50:57 PM
Um, since when has anyone ever admitted to an extramarital blowjob without a gun to their head(s? either one of them)? Just wondering...

2002-02-07 04:06:23 PM
Clinton should not have lied

however, I would have been MUCH more concerned if he had lied about something that had ANY FUICKING BEARING WHATSOEVER

2002-02-07 04:06:36 PM
This whole "Bush is an Idiot" thing is tooooo funny. I just don't understand why these liberals are so damn bitter and angry? Benway? Have you been laid this week? Maybe some bitterness here because half of these guys (Drbenway, Astrocat, and the rest of the dumb dumbs) only make $6/hr and if Gore had won maybe they'd be up to $6.45/hr now?

Maybe the theory on Liberals thinking EVERYONE is stupid and THEY know best is holding true here. Don't worry all you stupid Americans, Hillary is going to save you from your stupidity in 2004.

2002-02-07 04:08:25 PM
DrBenway: Thing is, for me anyways, is I have the honor and decency not to recieve an extramarital blowjob.

HotDog: So it's ok for Bush to be a liar since Clinton was one? Nice.

Well said!

I say trust no one - question everything.

The ONLY criteria needed for judging public servants:

Are they honest? And do they have any credibilty?

Anyone who supports the thieves and liars we have in Washington - is only investing in their own eventual destruction.

Anyone who believes ANYTHING they watch or hear on TV
is doing so at their own peril.

The majority seem content to let the talking heads do their thinking for them.

When presented with information contrary to popular opinion they often resort to attacking the messenger without considering the message.

It may make them feel safe to align their thinking with everyone else, but history proves this can be very dangerous.

The media and the politicians would prefer that everyone watches TV and thinks alike and believes in whatever they say.

Group thinking = good.

Thinking outside the box = bad.

Astrocat = dangerous.

All I try to do is challenge people to think out side the box and investigate alternative information other than what is being presented on TV by the media.

Just because it's what the majority thinks, or it's popular or it's politically correct doesn't mean doodely squat.

How much longer the 90 percenters will continue to live in denial of the truth is hard to say.

I chose not to live in denial or lies.

The truth will set you free.

Deadmeat: The FAA cannot revoke a military pilot's license

2002-02-07 04:17:05 PM
Archie: are you sure it was decency that prevented your extramarital blowjob?

I'm sorry...you set 'em up, I knock 'em down.

Doc Benway: got any goofballs?

2002-02-07 04:19:06 PM
So it's ok for Bush to be a liar since Clinton was one? Nice.

I never mentioned Bush. But i DO see a difference between a DUI by a rich spoiled and a Felony committed by someone entrusted to lead the nation.

2002-02-07 04:24:23 PM
Albert, true they can't, but if the FAA were to give your CO, XO, or OPs Officer a call, you can bet you'll spend some time on the carpet in front of the old man.

That's funny.

Don't let your 'ass'umptioms make ass out of you.

If you only knew the truth.

Albert:

Thanks for the heads-up. Then should the National Guard have revoked his license? And in addition, would he have had a commercial flight license as well? Just curious. Would the guard have only grounded him then?

2002-02-07 04:25:42 PM
Hotdog, you're just not formatting that right.

When it's applied to Clinton, the word is "FELONY!!!" not "Felony." And for all you disgusting lefties out there, it is NEVER "felony."

The words "felony" and "misdemeanor," when applied to the current resident of the Oval Office, are appropriately spelled "youthful indiscretion."

That it all.

2002-02-07 04:26:43 PM
Archibald Cucumber Skinner: "Thing is, for me anyways, is I have the honor and decency not to recieve an extramarital blowjob."

I'm guessing that's something like Corky from Life Goes On bragging about how he never had the indecency to sell himself for sex.

2002-02-07 04:30:41 PM
Oh yeah, Archie? Just how many extramarital blowjobs have you had the opportunity to refuse? Lots and lots, I'm sure!

And an "honorable, decent" person wouldn't demean others over their presumed (did I mention incorrect, also?) lesser employment status and income. Did I hear someone say "Republicans" and "hypocrites" in the same breath awhile ago? Of all things... where could they ever have gotten that idea?

2002-02-07 04:33:57 PM
I had to laugh when I saw your name Ralph.......hadn't thought about that bit in many years:

"Hi friends, this is RalphSpoilsport of RalphSpoilsport motors, here in the lovely town of Emphysema!".....

2002-02-07 04:35:54 PM
Deadmeat and 3horn (ex-mili?) - Back then a DUI was not frowned upon as heavily as it is today what with the MADD Nazis, etc. He probably would have recieved a write up, nothing big.

That's exactly what I'm talking about--stones and glass houses, indeed.

DrBenway: Haven't turned away any blowjobs, though, I have on plenty of business trips turned down invites from females up to their hotel rooms. I don't get into those situations, its easier to turn them down at the hotel bar than it is in their hotel rooms.

How did I demean you for making $6/hr? I simply stated that is the "reason" you people are so bitter and angry. Read the post dummy!

Not to mention any names here, but the one thing that I have to admit that I look down my nose at people for is a lack of class. Class costs nothing. You can be poor and have all the class in the world. You can be wealthy and have none. You can have not finished high school and have quite a bit more class than someone with a degree.
An argument made with a show of no class is not much of an argument at all. It's little.

2002-02-07 04:49:08 PM
Read the post yourself, Archie. You're the one that's wrong with your presumptions about people's incomes etc. As for "bitter and angry", your Boobies here was:

"Time for the idiot liberals to flock here and post stupid comments."

'nuf said.

Ah, the old "Weeners" filter strikes again! Honest, Archie, it said "Weeners". I really, really do not want to be thinking about your Boobies...
