If Willie Nelson stops smoking weed then they have won

Welcome to cheech & chong day at Fark. This thread's theme: Willie Nelson's weed omlettes from France. Discuss.

2002-02-06 12:43:41 PM
I make tea from the White Widow stems.
2 hours later I'm bodyrushing for at least 2 hours.

I always love the story about Willie Nelson smoking a joint on the White House roof.
Willie Nelson is so cool in my book.

2002-02-06 12:44:27 PM
"I think people should watch my life and do the opposite"

Wooohooo!!!

*lights up a joint*

If I go to jail, can I sue Willie Nelson on grounds that he suggested I should smoke weed all the time because I was doing the "opposite" of what he was?

2002-02-06 12:45:26 PM
Slayerswine: Do you have direct contacts to a White Widow plantation or something? I can't get the shiat ANYWHERE!

2002-02-06 12:45:30 PM
Maybe he should give up singing for a few months. I dig his style but the music is farking horrible lately. Saw him a few weeks ago and was saddened by his enormous ass and sub-par vocals.

2002-02-06 12:47:15 PM
Willie Nelson is the shiat

2002-02-06 12:49:01 PM
Maybe he should just join the Subway Diet Cult.

"Five more minutes then we go smoke a bowl."

2002-02-06 12:50:11 PM
So thats why i weigh so much

2002-02-06 12:52:07 PM
When I was 10 years old, I was at Club Med in Mexico with my family. Willie was there too. In speedos! Willie's awsome

2002-02-06 12:52:23 PM
Did I log into Drew Curtis' Marijuanaforum.com today?

2002-02-06 12:53:58 PM
Wait, isn't marijuana supposed to be a dangerous and addictive killer? Shouldn't Willie be dead/insane by now?

2002-02-06 12:54:10 PM
Willie is a national treasure. Send me your leftover weed!

2002-02-06 12:55:56 PM
Anyone ever see Reefer Madness? Great film... supposedly it helped to push the negative image of mayjay to the point that it became socially unacceptable.

2002-02-06 12:56:53 PM
Yeah, Can I have a pack of Weed lights in a box?

2002-02-06 12:57:04 PM
I dig Willie bigtime. I went to his July 4th picnic in Austin one time. You would be surprized how many bikers go to Willie Nelson concerts.

2002-02-06 12:57:23 PM
is a bag of Mexican still $20 and a bag of Columbian still $30 or have prices increased since the middle 70's?

2002-02-06 12:58:23 PM
Tommybob: It's all relative to the size of the bag and the quality of the weed.

2002-02-06 12:58:25 PM
is it still distributed in "baggies"?

2002-02-06 12:59:12 PM
Tommybob: When I sold in HS, the most common thing was a cellophane from a cigarette pack.

2002-02-06 12:59:14 PM
Reefer Madnes was produced by the printing and cotton industries. The same industries (including the pharmaceutical industry) that lobbied heavily to outlaw marijuana. That's why it's illegal. That, and the white folk were afraid of the black man smoking it and raping the white women.

2002-02-06 01:00:23 PM
Wow, you sure do know a lot for an idiot. :-)

2002-02-06 01:00:31 PM
how much was the cellophane dosage Random Person

2002-02-06 01:01:35 PM
Tommybob: It depends. Normally I sold "nickle" or "dime" bags which I charged $4 or $9 for respectively... only because my competition sold for $5 and $10...

2002-02-06 01:04:23 PM
Willie looks like he's been dead for 2 years.

2002-02-06 01:04:27 PM
"Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be potheads..."

2002-02-06 01:04:28 PM
true dat, Random Person

2002-02-06 01:04:59 PM
Random Person this is interesting. i'm most definately out of the loop. a hundred years ago an ounce of Mexican, which was a "baggie" filled with about 2 inches was 20. "Columbian Gold" was 30. No idea what it is today but once every blue moon i wonder what inflation has done to the price.

2002-02-06 01:05:19 PM
Sounds like ole Willie eats like he is on the Atkins Diet.

A friend of mine went on this and ate nothing but bacon and eggs for months on end. She lost 80 pounds already and is still going strong. Go figure.

2002-02-06 01:06:01 PM
Idiota - "Reefer Madnes was produced by the printing and cotton industries. The same industries (including the pharmaceutical industry) that lobbied heavily to outlaw marijuana. That's why it's illegal. That, and the white folk were afraid of the black man smoking it and raping the white women."

Harry Anslinger also had a hand in producing that movie. He was the head of the DEA at that time and it was a small agency with little power. He was also instumental in getting the Marijuana Tax Act passed. At the time there were laws against certain narcotic drugs. Since pot is a plant and not a drug they had to deal with it seperately.

In closing let me say, Mota es bueno!!!

2002-02-06 01:08:02 PM
Best weed in US is in the green triangle in northern cali. God bless Mendacino.
100 bucks a quarter

2002-02-06 01:08:29 PM
Tommybob: Well, today there are creative names for it. Not thinks like "mexican" or "columbian"... things like "Redhair" or "White Widow."

A "dime" is 1/10th of an ounce... and guess what, a "nickle" is 1/20th of an ounce (suppossedly... everybody pinches a bit, so you're not getting that much). You can still get a "20 bag" which is usually around 2.2-2.5/10 of an ounce. Then there are "quarters" (1/4 oz) and "halves" (need I explain?)...

2002-02-06 01:10:22 PM
Hartfrog: Ah, you are mistaken. I lived in Hawai'i during one of my Marine Corps tours and the shait grown in the rain forests there simply can NOT be touched by any American-grown weed.

2002-02-06 01:12:04 PM
I will be seeing Willie here in Austin at Stubbs on March 9th. I am sure there will be plenty participating in a beer and weed diet there.

Never been to Hawaii Random, but I was in Jamacia once...That was very very very nice.
Will have to make plans to go to Maui.

2002-02-06 01:13:49 PM
Hartfrog- Best weed is the one in my closet. Up here in Seattle, "commercially", BC bud can't be beat.

2002-02-06 01:14:03 PM
Oh, yeah...Willie is the KING

2002-02-06 01:14:25 PM
All this talk of weed is making me hungry... think if I advance my clocks to 4:20 anyone will notice?

2002-02-06 01:15:45 PM
I heard that about BC. Will have to make plans to do a world weed tour...
A FARK world weed tour..
start in Maui, cut through Northern Cali, Head Up to BC, Stop in Jamacia, hit up Amsterdam for their annual festival, and then end in Luck Texas at Willies Ranch.
Ill make plans, and brownies

2002-02-06 01:16:12 PM
Nope Random Person. Thanks for the update. I guess it's all relative in terms of price now and a long time ago.
And may I say that Maui wowee (spelling don't count) from Hawaii was the best....so i was told.

2002-02-06 01:16:58 PM
Just go to the bud bowl in Amsterdam in November. One stop shop for all.

2002-02-06 01:21:09 PM
Since when is Hawaii not part of America?

Willie Nelson is proof that a life of weed can be prosperous.

Hartfrog: Willie is coming to Reno? I'd like to see that. Willie is cool!

2002-02-06 01:40:40 PM
I love Willie. If he was president, he would legalize marijuana. It will be legal one day.....
