Apparently, someone should submit a "get me a gmail invite" article, because this isn't quite the place for it, now is it?

If any one is feeling generous, please send me a gmail invite. My email address is in my profile. Thank You
2004-08-31 02:39:58 PM
And in other news, what's up with the Gmail invites? I've got five available, what deviant things could I claim for them? Back before I got an account, I remember a website you could trade things for an invite. Now that I've got the invites, of course I forget the site.

Thanks Much!

Q: When I send a letter, will the PhotoStamp on it be covered by a postmark?

A: PhotoStamps use a special coding technology so that the Postal Service will process the mail piece without any postmarks. Occasionally though (depending on the piece of handling equipment) the mail piece may be canceled with a traditional postmark during transit.

interesting... (not really)
2004-08-31 02:44:58 PM
It would brighten my day beyond my wildest dreams for the day. Thanks Jeep...Good Karma for you

Shiat, I know a fellow in Italy who draws a stamp (poorly) on his envelopes and they make it to us here in Chicago!

I want Trogdor stamps.

No linky, so you've gotta work for it :)
2004-08-31 02:57:39 PM
That's a good point sarek_smile(and also a good Hall and Oates song). I wonder if they'd do copyrighted pictures. Homsar stamps would be great. Except they'd make me sign all my letters: "A song from the sixties".
2004-08-31 02:58:40 PM
Someone giving away free stuff? I want! Gimme gimme gimme!
2004-08-31 02:59:02 PM
Yaknow, now that I look at this, mayhaps we should start a thread somewhere for the gmail invites. Or just direct people to the test thread and post them there. I always get the bright ideas after the fact.

Upside down airplanes, anyone?
We should make stamps with the wrong prices on them. Maybe we can make them look like stamps from other countries just to mess with people.
2004-08-31 03:06:39 PM

Just like the Smoking Gun to ruin a perfectly good idea...

Now, the government will get ahold of this and take it away.

Thanks, TSG

Original FARK "gimme GMail" thread...

and more importantly, the Farkers Need GMail automated invite exchange script.

Now quit screwing up perfectly good conversations about stamps to beg for GMail. :^)

If anybody actually deserves to be on a stamp here (non-ironically), it's David Kaczynski. He's a freakin' hero.
