Actually, I support many freedoms on principle myself. I am for the legalization of marijuana too. I am for state's rights for gay marriage, and a few other things that I believe only truly harm or benefit consenting adults. And speaking of principles, I have a problem with money for sex. Something about the government promotion of highly irresponsible activity. There are many married men that go to prostitutes. Currently, this is illegal. If it were legalized, then you have the government's support of infidelity. I suppose this is fine with you too, no?

For one thing, marriage is a state issue...at least until Bush can somehow sneak an amendment into the Constitution and create a Dept of Marriage to regulate everyone's level of martial bliss. For another thing, infidelity has been decriminalized in most states (except for NY as far as I know)...so you can argue that by not punishing an unfaithful spouse, that the state supports infidelity.

Hasnt the women's movement turned marriage into a socially acceptable form of prostitution? Haven't no-fault divorces turned marriage into a social contract that people leap into and out of whenever they feel like it, rather than a life time commitment? If a man is a man and supports his wife, isnt he paying her for her "services"? Now days, its passe for a man to be man and a women to be a women, women want to be men and men want to be women.

At least prostitution is a straight forward and honest transaction, both parties get what they want and go their merry way (anyone seen the movie "Killing Zoe"? "I love the honesty of a whore" - one of my all time favorite lines). If you can somehow remove the risk of disease transmission and/or unwanted children out of the picture, who cares? Prostitution doesnt create infidelity, a person makes a choice to cheat. A person thats deceptive and cheats on their spouse would do it with anyone that its conveinent, prostitute or not.

I could care less if someone hires a prostitute, as long as their aren't doing behind their spouses back. Maybe if republicians got a hummer now and again, we wouldnt be preemptively invading random countries on weak intelligence. Money for sex is least of this worlds problems.
