"Remember the paralyzed Columbine student who forced himself out a window during the shooting"

2002-01-31 05:07:38 PM
I bet he did not carry it far. yuck yuck yuck.

2002-01-31 05:09:47 PM

2002-01-31 05:12:41 PM
"The flame is lit during a ceremony at the site of the ancient Olympic stadium in Olympia, Greece. "

OK... what I want to know is who the hell carried it across the ocean ??

2002-01-31 05:13:30 PM
Ummm I don't want to make fun of this kid or diminish the pain and suffering he went through, but at what point does tossing yourself out a window in an effort to save your own ass classify you as a hero?

2002-01-31 05:13:36 PM
Wow. Im touched.

2002-01-31 05:15:49 PM
Knitwit: when you don't break your neck after you hit the ground. Oh, wait...

2002-01-31 05:16:31 PM
Knitwit, it is not "...tossing yourself out a window in an effort to save your own ass..." It is the fact that he carried the torch.

Good job kid. Carry the torch again in 25 or 30 years!

2002-01-31 05:17:48 PM
Remember the paralyzed Columbine student who forced himself out a window during the shooting?

No. The only thing I remember about the Columbine shootings was it being used as excuse [for idiots] to try banning video games, television shows, movies, and firearms.

2002-01-31 05:17:59 PM
I once carried a torch for this girl in high school damn near 3 years and...uhh, nevermind.

good for him. i hope the experience helped him forget.

2002-01-31 05:18:00 PM
Knitwit: I'm wondering the same thing myself. The kid's got balls, but he's not a hero. If you ask me, this deserves the rarely-used tag.

2002-01-31 05:20:09 PM
I suppose having to deal with a wheelchair in Colorado is rough enough, doing it one handed while holding a burning stick has got to really suck. Alright I'll give him props for that.

2002-01-31 05:21:36 PM
Damnit. Bonobo beat me to suggesting the tag.

2002-01-31 05:22:40 PM
Knitwit: He also had to avoid being shot by incompetant law enforcement officials.

I'll say it again...Columbine was a clusterfark.

2002-01-31 05:22:48 PM
Damnit. Bonobo beat me to suggesting the tag.

The winter olympics are soo lame. The only "sports" that I can think of are hockey and curling. All the other competitions are either judged or a timed with a clock. These are NOT sports, they are either past-times or people with lots of practice at doing one thing. A REAL sport is when two teams directly compete against each on a playing field. Man or woman verses a clock is not a sport, its an excersize.

2002-01-31 05:27:40 PM
He carried the torch. So the f*ck what?
So he's disabled. Who gives a sh*t?
He's lucky he's not drinking through a straw
and crapping through a bag. Oh, wait...

2002-01-31 05:30:49 PM
YAY curling god bless those canadians ehhhhh.
although i have to say curling is strangley addictive.

2002-01-31 05:31:05 PM
Well, my definition of sport is much more generous -- one must sweat when participating. That's why bridge and golf are not sports. Dammit!

2002-01-31 05:31:56 PM
OffspringRocks: Did Bonobo beat you to suggesting the tag?

2002-01-31 05:34:23 PM
Hey, I beat Offspringrocks to suggesting the tag.

2002-01-31 05:34:31 PM
Yes, I don't think I made it clear that he did...

Can someone delete my first pos... The first one I posted?

This one could also use a... Damn, theres know "who f*cking cares" tag.

2002-01-31 05:35:20 PM
there's NO "who f*cking cares" tag. I'm on a roll tonight...

2002-01-31 05:36:14 PM
TImmmmmmaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy

2002-01-31 05:36:59 PM
I can still see the image of that kid falling through the window. It still disturbs me.

It's pretty pathetic that some of you are debating whether or not he's a hero. It's just wrong. The fact some people even make of him...Jesus Christ. Every little thing that comes up in society you mock and sneer at behind your electronic veil of anonymity, but if you were looking any other human being in the eye at your local grocery store or book store, 99.9% of you wouldn't have the balls to make of this kid.

2002-01-31 05:36:59 PM
Hoosier: Agreed. My definition of a sport: must require basic athletic skills (i.e. running/jumping/agility etc.), must be in direct competition with other people, and winning or losing should be cut and dry (as opposed to being a matter of a judge's opinion). So, by my definition hockey and speedskating are sports. Ice skating (judged score) and bobsledding (sit on your ass in a sled) are not.

2002-01-31 05:37:34 PM
Hoosier -
So if I run around a track and then somebody else runs around and we compare times to find a winner, that's not a sport... but if we both run at the same time it is?

Feh.

2002-01-31 05:38:13 PM
while running with it did he slip and fall on his ass so MSNBC can cover it and make a big hoopla over it..?

2002-01-31 05:38:39 PM
I once jumped out of a tree and broke my collarbone, then ran home to mommy so she could take me to the ER. Am I a hero too?

2002-01-31 05:38:48 PM
Now if all the figure skaters competed at the same time, with the last one standing the winner, that would be a sport. Same for all the downhill skiers starting at the same time.

TWO MAN LOUGE, WTF. How gay is that. Although two women louge sure would be fun to see............

2002-01-31 05:39:23 PM
Dammit. Porkgod beat me to mocking OffspringRocks for posting twice that Bonobo beat him to suggesting the tag.

2002-01-31 05:41:38 PM
Fiteclub: "if you were looking any other human being in the eye at your local grocery store or book store, 99.9% of you wouldn't have the balls to make of this kid."

What balls? "Hey kid...you got shot and survived. Have a torch." And yes, I WOULD have the courage to say that to someone's face. What's the big deal? Touching story? Yes. Heroic? By definition, no. Christ...

2002-01-31 05:42:02 PM
Wooooo jocks rule!!!

http://www.theonion.com/onion3532/columbine_jocks.html

Ahem. Right, this guy threw himself out a window to save his backside. He deserves his very own "Smarter than the average jock" tag, thats about all.

2002-01-31 05:42:29 PM
Speed skating is almost a sport. They each have their own lane while in the turns. They do however share the straightaways. My definition of a sort is that both teams compete at the same time and share the same playing field. NO LANES ALLOWED.

2002-01-31 05:43:11 PM
Fiteclub, the point of making fun of someone is that you do it behind their back. And no, he's not a hero. Who gives a fark about him. What makes him special? What about the girl who's mother kept her in the closet for months? Is she a hero? What about all the kids that survived the school shootings last week? Are they not heroes?

Surviving a tragedy doesn't make you a hero. Stopping one (Flight 93), sure. But not surviving.

FREESTYLE "WINDOW-FALL"

ARTISTIC: 6.0 6.0 5.9 6.0 4.2
TECHNICAL: 6.0 5.7 6.0 6.0 5.0

WINNER! And a Gold medal for his "fight or flight" reflex.

I wanna see one of the dead kids carry the torch, and use it to beat the corpses of the morons who went on the shooting spree in the first place. Now THAT kid would be a HERO.

2002-01-31 05:51:15 PM
Fiteclub:"Every little thing that comes up in society you mock and sneer at behind your electronic veil of anonymity..."

The more I read that, the more it makes me laugh. Here's some little twit, hiding behind a "veil of anonymity," accusing me of doing the same thing. If you said that to my face, I might stop and think about it. Doing it online just makes you a retard.

2002-01-31 05:53:51 PM
Bonobo62: "If you said that to my face, I might stop and think about it. Doing it online just makes you a retard."

Heheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh...

I love FARK.

2002-01-31 05:54:18 PM
blah blah Olympics, blah Columbine, snore.

I'd give this kid a hero tag if tossing his ass out a window was an olympic sport and he won. Unfortunately we use the word hero for every stupid little thing, it doesn't really mean anything anymore. This kid is a "hero" in the same way that us bombing stupid towelheads in afghanistan is a "war". It's useless gum flapping at it's stupid best.

2002-01-31 06:05:40 PM
Carrying the Olympic torch is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're....

...ahhh nevermind.

2002-01-31 06:09:51 PM
This is kinda a sad one to make light of. For a good one stick to tyson and the goat farker. Their more fun to make fun of anyway, and not so offensive to the weak hearted.

2002-01-31 06:16:47 PM
Speed skating...I did read the the Canadian Speed Skating team is wearing (almost) see thru uniforms...curious....

2002-01-31 06:17:31 PM
with a name like fiteclub, i don't know... i think some people might have the balls to say it to you ;)

Making fun of things isn't wrong. Makes things easier to deal with, stops negativity.. and it's fark.. everything has humor.. get off your high horse, you've laughed at a "bad" joke once too..

So he threw himself out of a window to avoid getting killed in columbine??? They weren't going to kill that kid, he was probably more of an outcast than they ever were

This deserves the "Chickensh!t Pvssy" Tag

2002-01-31 06:34:25 PM
Hero? Hero? farking A.
Too bad their isn't an 'idiot' tag.
Stupid kids these days.
