I met them a few years ago in Chicago, they bought a buddy and I hot dogs at a little hot dog shop across from Wrigley Field. While their english was stilted, they were incredibly nice and we ended up catching them in concert that night, also across from Wrigley Field. While their music isn't exactly my type, they put on a hell of a show.

they put on a cool show. caught them in germany 2x. i can believe that they put this in a video. translate some of their lyrics sometime. great stuff.

Anyway. I've never really paid much attention to their on-stage antics, or the videos...or even the lyrics, I see Rammstein as just another band to rock out to.

I'd take antichrist superstar over du hast any day, but that doesn't get around the fact that the genre is way past getting tired. This was all so much more fun when the music that came with the sideshow actually sounded good. not that anybody cares about the sick sideshows anyway. it's when the sickness is in the center ring that the decent folks get all riled up. I saw them back when du hast came out. He sang one song while lit on fire through the whole thing and in another, he unzipped to let loose a strap on that was connected to a hose somehow and "peed" on the crowd. It still makes me cry sometimes at night.
