2002-01-30 12:08:56 AM
Go Wil!

2002-01-30 12:10:16 AM
Who could possibly resist a headline like "Killer Mullet Threatens Enterprise"?

2002-01-30 12:10:31 AM
Wil blows.

2002-01-30 12:11:15 AM
Wil was in his prime during Stand By Me.

Tnn picture quality blows goats. TNG shows look like crap.

Kudos Wil!

Four movies in two days! How is TNN ever going to fit that in?! I love how they're advertising that like it's some huge accomplishment. Those ads suck. Michael Dorn without his makeup? Why don't you just tell me there is no Santa Clause.

The TNG re-run yesterday and today were two of my all time favorite eps. Where the Borg are oh so close to destroying Earth. Death is irrelevant.

2002-01-30 12:14:18 AM
If he gives a shoutout to Fark.com, I will be very pleased. Then again, I might not, because there will be an influx of people wearing vulcan ears and klingon faces and starfleet uniforms. Erm, forget what I said about the whole shoutout thing...

If that's the one where the Borg assimilate Picard, that was definately my favorite two episodes. I can remember way back when, thinking about what the hell they were goign to do for an hour if the beam actually worked, and they killed off Picard... Anyway, what was I saying about thos e lame Star Trek geeks?

Am I the only one who doesn't give a shiat about this kid? Will someone explain the whole Wil Wheaton phenomenon, beacuse I just don't understand it.

2002-01-30 12:17:43 AM
I think I'll take a whack at it.

2002-01-30 12:19:32 AM
It's a fark thing. He's famous, he reads the site occasionally, and for the record he seems like a pretty good guy.

Don't feel bad though; if it's any consolation, he really doesn't give a shiat about us either :)

TheLude: Never noticed. Of what do you speak?

2002-01-30 12:21:07 AM
Mog: It's because Wil is actually cool. He is approximatly the same age as most of us Farkers, he runs his own website and admits to being a geek like the rest of us.

Major Hollywood star? No. Farker? Yes! He reads Fark, posts to Fark, reads other websites EXACTLY like the rest of us like somethingawful, etc.....

Enough said.

Wow erm, who cares? Seriously.

2002-01-30 12:22:40 AM
WOW Star Trek Marathon and only a day after appearing on "Beat the Geeks" - only big time actors get those gigs

2002-01-30 12:22:47 AM
I tied him at cubicolor...

2002-01-30 12:23:33 AM
You know what this means for Wil: RISIDUALS!

2002-01-30 12:23:52 AM
Wow erm, who cares? Seriously.

Ok, I'll feed the troll. Why do people come into threads they obviously don't care for (e.g. sports, wheaton/walken, etc.) and whine about "who cares"? Obviously someone cares, otherwise it wouldn't get posted. Sheesh.

2002-01-30 12:23:56 AM
Fark TNN. The bastards have that constant ticker at the bottom of the screen and it causes ST-TNG to look like shiat.

ARRRGHGGHGH!

2002-01-30 12:24:05 AM
Ok, time for bed, I have posted more than twice to a forum, this post makes number three. I am officially out of my allowed postings to Fark. My own self-imposed rules should be followed by others :)

/enjoy!

2002-01-30 12:25:22 AM
Wil won the autographed photo of me wearing the infamous "Pickle Hat and Wacky Space Goggles"! Hahahah, and the photo is in the mail! Woo hah!

Wil shall be the envy of every human on the planet now.

2002-01-30 12:25:33 AM
I hate watching stuff on TNN, that black bar they have on the bottom on the screen smushes everything so all the actors look as wide as they are tall. I don't know why TNN doesn't just put the bar on top of some of the picture - not like anything important ever happens in the bottom centimeter of the screen anyway.

So does that mean I shouldn't post a fourth time? Wait...

Charlie -
What do you mean, no Santa Claus?

Santa!

2002-01-30 12:34:38 AM
my God the TNN site is horrific

2002-01-30 12:35:01 AM
I was really hoping to appear on Wil Wheaton this weekend...

But the cheese is against it.

2002-01-30 12:38:34 AM
Darkmagex, I can't agree more. It hurts to look at that site.

2002-01-30 12:41:21 AM
Wheaton should be on his knees every day giving thanks to God-denberry for ST:TNG.

Time to break out the video tape...we only have Star Trek 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 on tape...First Contact rocked! :)

--She who is a Trekker and proud of it!

Wil should give a little "Shout out" to his farker crew, or at least some subliminal advertising. Maybe wear a fark T-shirt, or give a little *cough*coughfark.com*cough.

2002-01-30 04:19:45 AM
Wil rocks... saw him on "beat the geeks" yesterday.. though I only caught the end... WTF was he doing on?

anyway.. TNN's signal has sucked ass this week.. cannot get my Wesley's Mom fill.....

"Fark TNN. The bastards have that constant ticker at the bottom of the screen and it causes ST-TNG to look like shiat."

Tell me about it. How's anybody supposed to pirate their shows when they have that retarted thing at the bottom of the screen. The actual show looks stretched like they don't know what 'aspect ratio' means.

2002-01-30 09:00:07 AM
Irascible & ROBO-Jesus: Exactly. The horizontal squish factor on TNN is unbearable. I can't believe they do that. My wife is Next Gen junkie and watches TNN a lot, but I refuse to watch because of that bottom bar. Data looks like freakin' Dom DeLuise.

Wil: Just curious, does that annoy you as much as it annoys some of us?

2002-01-30 09:02:29 AM
Polypuga: It's all yours.

2002-01-30 09:58:05 AM
My all time favorite is the first time the crew came across the Borg. Q zapped them out there. Very scary episode.

2002-01-30 10:29:32 AM
To bad they have him hosting ST 4: Voyage Home.

Between Spock mind melding with the whale and
"Cap'n There be whales here!"-Scotty

ACK!

2002-01-30 10:44:03 AM
In other news, bruce willis will appear in a die hard marathon on some godforsaken cable channel this weekend.

"Between Spock mind melding with the whale and
"Cap'n There be whales here!"-Scotty"

I thought the plot was somewhat far fetched but what really killed me was Scotty; picks up the mouse from a Mac and tries talking to it; "Hello Computer". Yeah, chuckle. But then he proceeds to, in seconds, bash the entire molecular breakdown of transparent aluminum into a machine/OS he's never seen before. Some parts were so stupid.

One wish of mine (and, yes, it is one of the few that is actually legal) is to have lunch with Patrick Stewart. I'd like to get his feedback on his Shakespearean broadway days. Also, he seems like he'd have a great sense of humor. I'm also curious if any of his character attributes were altered or changed to reflect some of his own interests (e.g. Picard's interest of history and philosophy). Can anyone make this wish a reality, or at least do a darn good job lying to me?

2002-01-30 01:06:23 PM
Because of the headline below this one, I read it as, "Wil Wheaton to appear on TNN Star Trek masturbation weekend"

2002-01-30 03:39:19 PM
My all time favorite is the first time the crew came across the Borg. Q zapped them out there. Very scary episode.

That episode rocked! I believe it's called "Q-Who?". It's one of those times Picard should have pried his head out of his ass and listened to Q IMO. :)

Q rocks.

Was at a trek micro-convention a few years back with my cousin, he told me that I almost ran over John de Lancie. As he was a Trekker I told him I would pay more attention in the future.

2002-01-30 07:18:02 PM
LOL A friend of mine almost ran over Robert Duncan McNeill! Next on Geraldo: Trek Actors Killed by Trekkers!

John de Lancie is hilarious. My husband and I were at a convention where he had an appearance.

I hate those bars as much as everyone else does. I mean, we're paying for a full screen...why to they have to take that lower third away from us?

Bastards.

I recorded all these interviews and promos back before I had been introduced to FARK, so no shouts :(

But I'll be working in FARK to all my interviews from this time forward.

So there.
