Dear Starbucks

No one will confuse beer for your shiaty, nasty, burnt cat turd coffee. STFU and good day

2004-08-06 10:29:01 AM
We certainly don't want people getting confused between a micro brew and a shiatty bitter overpriced cup of caffeinated pig piss, do we? I mean, we have to keep our status symbols for walmart shoppers straight, don't we. you muddy that name and next thing you know people won't want to pay five farking bucks for a non alcoholic beverage just because it makes them feel better than the dunkin donuts sheep, right? RIGHT? Don't I look cool with my goth garb and my cup o' starbucks? AAAAAARGH. Foamyyyyy!!!
/brews his own. fark the system.

2004-08-06 10:29:04 AM

And my opinion of Starbucks carries over to Starbocks: I don't need a pint of overpriced beer to be served to me by a snotty bartenter. Or will Starbocks beer me served using the metric system and using fancy foreign words ?

Starturds ?

on a completely unrelated note, we need to get a message to the bulls eye guest 'model' of the day that there's more to hotness than anorexia and a flabby ass.

Starbucks Coffee, because we have to do something with the floor sweepings.

Anyone willing to pay 5 bucks for a cup of coffee is a putz.

/That is all. Coffee is free here at work.

2004-08-06 10:33:20 AM
I'm going to start giving out Star-punches-to-the-groin. I won't charge anything, so they won't have any profits to sue me for. And their lawyers will be the first customers.

2004-08-06 10:33:33 AM
Since both Lone Star and Shiner Bock (FYI- That's where the guy got the name from) predate the existence of any entity calling itself Starbucks, this should be a slam dunk for the tavern owner down in Galveston. I'd actually love to get summoned for THAT case!

skinink - Are you familiar with this company or do you just have a hate-on for people who try and do something different with their lives and create something better, even if it loses the industrial efficiency and costs more?

When gazing into the stary froridian night, I'm always awed by Starbucks abbility to place those shiny things floating up there.

2004-08-06 10:47:38 AM
Does this remind anyone else of the Nescaflowne fan film that is played at anime conventions?

2004-08-06 10:47:50 AM
Fasterfester:

I like my local brewery's beer okay, but I won't call it the best. It tends, like many microbrews, to be quite hoppy. Now, hoppy beer can be a good thing, but in my experience it's always been the less impressive microbrews that are intensely so -- as if they're trying to compensate for lack of any other character, so the pour on the hops. In any case, they're okay, one just has to choose his beers carefully, and in the end, they're not my fave. I still prefer Unibroue. Too bad I can't find distributors around here anymore :(.

ps - multiple accounts?

2004-08-06 10:48:14 AM
Is there a special Starbucks lawyer campus? Those laywers will never run out of legs to hump.

/waiting for Starbucks to sue Fark for having "ar" in the middle.

Fasterfester - actually, I live in Ontario but love Quebec beers. Between the Unibroues and McAuslan/St Ambroise they definitely have nice great things going on there.

Camerons makes a great Lager and Cream Ale, but they are too far to be considered local even if an Ontario beer.

My local Brewery. Thing is, stuff tastes like someone poured battery acid into a puddle.
