While he appeared familiar, the Miami resident could not be readily identified.

The man walked off, and police were searching for him. And no one kept an eye on him or bothered to follow him? Christ on a crutch.

My solution is, NO MORE AIRPLANES!

Qatmandu: that's the real problem!

Also, if I witnessed it, and later had to re- book my flight because of it, then you better believe I would beat the dude until he looked like Beetle Bailey in the comics when Sarge is done pummeling him!

The cartoon is from the Texas A&M Batallion. It raised quite a stink. The story on it tells more.

Wait wait, they somehow couldn't find him after he flat-out said "you missed my gun"??!!! what did they do, sit there and laugh for 20 minutes while he boarded?

You know, the list of "prohibited words" at airports have been in place for a LONG time. I'm surprised he didn't win a Darwin Award by having all of the other passengers in line kicking him to death.

Perhaps he said, "You missed the fun" (or something like that) and the barely fluent checker thought he said, "You missed the gun."

I glanced at the caption and thought it said "Hilary ensues".

Yeah 9/10, there was an article about that comic in the Daily Cougar (U of Houston) today- it made the picture sound like it was something really offensive.

I'm not black, but come on, is the toon really that bad? Noone would be complaining if they were white-trash slack-jawed yokels...

Airport security is a joke. Yesterday at Portland (OR) International, over 200 people went thru a scanner before the well-trained, highly disciplined security checkers noticed the thing was unplugged.

It's bad if you've been trained to be hypersensitive to racial issues.

Airport security is paid very little, are generally poorly educated to begin with and generally are poorly trained. The people who should be blamed for the terrorist attacks are the morons in charge of security. If we really want the planes to be safe though, it is going to require prison type searches. Check out these weapons on Easy Midget

Here's a hint for those who now adopt the "EVACUATE THE AIRPORT" strategy every time there's the hint of a problem...

Terrorists don't care about the airport or anything in it. They want to get onto a PLANE.

We now have armed military personnel walking the concourses at our airports. How are they useful in thwarting potential trouble? Not at all. Anyone intent on doing bad stuff wants to get through the actual airport WITHOUT INCIDENCE. And evacuating the airport brings security no closer to locating some lunkhead who says "you missed my gun." Yet in every instance of suspected trouble since 9/11 the first thing that's done is EVACUATE THE AIRPORT!

And whether anyone wants to admit it or not, security at airports is no better today than last year.

We still need that "Dumbass" tag, Drew....
