Damn that Ralph Nader and his funding problems.

2004-08-04 04:03:51 PM
If you're going to rob a bank, that is a good time to do it. all the cops are tied up protecting the politicians.

2004-08-04 04:04:01 PM
And who says rich, out of touch politicians never help the workin' man?

2004-08-04 04:04:44 PM
I hope the cops questioned them both.

/obvious suspects

Classic diversionary tactic!

That's the only way to do the job right!

2004-08-04 04:05:47 PM
This IS amusing.

*golf clap*

"Pointing to U.S. Rep. Jim Nussle, R-Iowa, who introduced him, Bush said, I appreciate Jim Nussles leadership. Hes watching out for your money."

HAHAHHAHAHA!

Someone post a picture of Snake from The Simpsons.

"This town is so stupid!"

2004-08-04 04:06:26 PM
hooray, my first approved post.

2004-08-04 04:06:52 PM
I'd heard that Bush and Kerry were cranking up their fund raising efforts, but this is crossing the line!

"Bush waving an ear of corn he purchased during an impromptu stop at a farmers market in Bettendorf."

Thanks Mr. President, our economy is SOARING now.

2004-08-04 04:09:03 PM
Thanks for not using the Ironic tag, submitter.

2004-08-04 04:09:55 PM
"Oh no! Beta."

2004-08-04 04:10:10 PM
Is anyone in the midwest offended that all the candidates can do to relate to you is eat some corn?

It's like when they come to Philadelphia and they yell "I love cheesesteaks and Rocky movies!" to get cheap applause. It's weird.

2004-08-04 04:10:37 PM

"Air Force One took off from Quad-City International Airport in Moline shortly after 1 p.m., with Bush waving an ear of corn he purchased during an impromptu stop at a farmers market in Bettendorf."

...as a veiled threat that Dubya will be eating the corn outta Michael Moore's shiat before he loses this election to Kerry.

Who knew there was money in banks in Iowa?

It's Clinton's fault? Now watch this drive?

2004-08-04 04:12:53 PM
Was it the ex-presidents from Point Break?
/obligatory

2004-08-04 04:12:55 PM
LtZ: Farm subsidies. Both candidates have been sending your money to Iowa banks for years.

2004-08-04 04:14:08 PM
Huh, that's sort of reminiscent of the U.S. being preoccupied with Iraq while the Taliban was reconstituting itself in Afghanistan.

It seems stupidity and the Smirking Chimp go hand in hand.

2004-08-04 04:14:40 PM
/for once, both to blame for crime against humanity

Quad-Cities. It sounds like a terrible illness or something.

2004-08-04 04:19:28 PM
Quad-city international airport?

How come I have never heard of a place called quad-city?

And it has an international airport?

I suspect one of two things:

1. I know nothing about geography

OR

2. They have prop planes flying just over the border to Canadia, eh? International, my ass.

2004-08-04 04:19:33 PM
Why does the Unelected Murder Monkey have to follow Kerry around like a little puppy?

Are Republicans so "unimaginative" that they can only react to things, rather than devise their own plan?...oh wait....I think I just figured out how 9/11 happened!!!!

/Now watch this drive.

2004-08-04 04:20:42 PM
i tried submitting links to this story from the tv stations here around noon... but the Quad cities is ill we suffer from "Bushenomics"

2004-08-04 04:20:57 PM
"...Quad Cities International airport..."

/musta missed that geography lesson

2004-08-04 04:21:34 PM
"Bush waving an ear of corn he purchased during an impromptu stop at a farmers market in Bettendorf."

Is this one of those "let's mobilize 1000 Secret Service guys for a photo op" kind of impromptu stops?

2004-08-04 04:22:47 PM
Crazy. Most of my family are Davenport cops. Think I'll call tonight and give them shiat.

/QC International Airport = Moline, IL = They have a U.S. Customs office, hence the "International"

2004-08-04 04:22:50 PM
Davenport, IA
Bettendorff, IA
Rock Island, IL
Moline, IL

those are the Quad cities and our joke of an airport is just barely big enough to land a 747 in an emergency

2004-08-04 04:23:38 PM
Hyernel, nice try, but Bush was scheduled to go there first.

I drove by one of these banks there were two cop cars in the parking lot. I thought hey good idea, rob a bamk. I never thought about three banks though.

2004-08-04 04:24:55 PM
Isn't davenport another term for couch?

2004-08-04 04:24:55 PM
I thought Bush said that he was making this country safer.

Liar.

/heh

2004-08-04 04:24:57 PM
My girlfriend is from Davenport, which is one of the Quad Cities. Saying Moline is a international airport is kinda funny, since there are only two airlines fly out of there (United and ATA).

Nice suburban towns though, if you like that sort of thing.

/not for me

"Bush waving an ear of corn he purchased during an impromptu stop at a farmers market in Bettendorf."

Thanks Mr. President, our economy is SOARING now.

and John Kerry held up two ears of corn, waving them like the guy who guides the jet to the runway at the airport... and Theresa asked, "what're those?"

Equal photo-op mockery. thankew

But President Bush had Larry Gatlin (sans his brothers) performing before his rally. LARRY FREAKING GATLIN!!!!

/"you're either gonna have to stop, what you're doing to me right now, or you gonna have to do it all night long!!"

Cake hunter

Yes, I am offended. But it's a better visual than trying to toss soybeans at the crowd or holding up a sheet of Alcoa aluminum or driving a John Deere tractor.

2004-08-04 04:43:38 PM
Hyernel:

If Bush is a murder monkey, what does that make Kerry? Self confessed war criminal murder monkey?
