2004-07-29 08:19:53 PM
Hopefully you can tame those damn sharp knees!

2004-07-29 08:44:01 PM
I lost him.

OH GOD! How do I tell the family. I knew i shouldn't have done that without at least having carved a turkey before.

2004-07-29 09:35:45 PM
No, I'm not a doctor... but I did stay at a holiday inn last nite.

2004-07-29 09:48:36 PM
So, how'd you guys do?

2004-07-29 10:55:52 PM
dead man limping.

2004-07-29 11:01:07 PM
That makes me mad. It won't let me screw this guy's leg up. I tried by jacking it up and down repeatedly after cutting, but noooo. Heck, I even wrote "CUT ME HEREZZZ" on his knee. I have a feeling real knee surgury is way funner than this.

2004-07-30 06:36:16 AM
Where's the "Whooops" button?

2004-07-30 06:42:19 AM
I gave him a boob job instead.

2004-07-30 06:48:43 AM
It's Operation, the wacky doctor's game! Batteries not included.

2004-07-30 06:55:44 AM
Do they perform surgery on virtual knees?

/didn't read the article

2004-07-30 06:55:57 AM
This is cool.. however not as cool as 'Life or Death 2' where you could give a patient a lobotomy instead of some asprine. :)

2004-07-30 06:58:06 AM
My attention span failed by the time I got up to the 'mark the place for the incision' or whatever.

Oooh shiney!

2004-07-30 07:00:14 AM
So... is it bad if my patient catches fire?

2004-07-30 07:01:00 AM
PSA

Don't eat while you are playing this.

2004-07-30 07:07:42 AM

Man, did any of you guys have that game ER, this was like back in 97, 98, and it was on DOS. Damn fun game. You were a doctor in the er and you'd diagnose paitents and stuff. Yeah, spellings wrong, I'm tired.

2004-07-30 07:42:08 AM
I found it quite interesting til around when you had to start drilling into their knee. EWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

2004-07-30 07:55:00 AM

I tried to hit on the receptionist, but she smacked me like a prison biatch. It was only fair to take it out on the patient.

2004-07-30 08:15:28 AM
I taped a knee replacement surgery and a hip replacement surgery from when they were on TLC years ago. Freaks people out when they see them drill into the femur and all that bloody, gooey marrow comes running out. I had so damn many knee and hip injury claims when I was doing workers comp claims. Needed to know just what the fark was going on.

I was very pissed they wouldn't let me watch, live or taped, the arthroscopic surgery they did on my knee four years ago.

Then again, I also taped breast reduction surgery and had my daughter watch it when she was thinking about having it done. She did and still went thru with it. Just mentioning it to her co-workers gave some of them nightmares, especially the part about the staples...

2004-07-30 08:34:42 AM
I made my patient's legs longer. Now me plays in the NBA.

2004-07-30 08:43:02 AM
i'm ready for 2 new knees .... now if i can find out where to order parts(does autozone carry them?) i can do it in my shed.

2004-07-30 08:51:25 AM

2004-07-30 09:14:25 AM
I had this done to me as well. Be assured, farkers, when you wake up it hurts just as much as you would imagine from the pics.

/My second sentence makes me cry, but I'm too lazy to redo it.

2004-07-30 09:16:39 AM
omG!!!1!!1...we were suppose to do it in virtural reality?

2004-07-30 09:27:13 AM
What a great program! With a design like this, it might be possible that they can replace frog dissections in high school with a computer simulation!

2004-07-30 09:30:12 AM
My father needs this surgery badly, every step he takes is torture for him.

2004-07-30 09:40:44 AM
funny how the x-ray says it's the guy's left knee, but it's on the right side of the screen

funnier still is that when you write your initials on the knee to be operated on, it won't let you write on the left knee

weak sauce!

2004-07-30 09:41:52 AM
nevermind, it's friday and last night felt like tonight will

ooops lol

2004-07-30 09:50:29 AM
olapbill wins the thread in my opinion.

I have observed these and even got to hold the leg up. This is nowhere near as brutal as the real thing. It's more like carpentry than surgery. A hip is even worse. Once they separate the Femoral Ball from the pelvis, they just throw the leg up on top of the patient to work on the pelvis. That made me more uncomfortable than hammering that stake down into the femur.

2004-07-30 10:31:35 AM
That... Was....

AWESOME!

That help my attention. It also learned me to never have knee problems ever.

Ever since I saw arthitis bones I've been hellaconcerned about not farking up my bones.

I don't like bone saws.

Paging Dr. Trogdor, proceed to burnination wing immeadiatly.

2004-07-30 11:28:38 AM
first off, the flash video was very cool and very informative. I'd be surprised if doctors didn't start referring their inquisitive patients to it.

secondly, CheezeAnvil is the MAN!!!!!!!

2004-07-30 11:31:51 AM
It's a shame the rest of the activities on the site don't measure up the way this one did; the knee surgery thing was pretty cool.

2004-07-30 11:31:55 AM
I performed a flawless surgery with a hangover!! I'm sure I could do the real thing. just give me a spoon, a hacksaw, and some legos. oh. and a bottle of scotch...

2004-07-30 11:34:13 AM
"Our patient today is a 76-year-old man."

2004-07-30 11:57:04 AM
Considering the condition of my knee, I guess this is exactly what I have to look forward to.

Someone just shoot me!!
