Trolling the fertile waters of Farkistan with a subtle one-liner never fails to turn up a few shrimp and minnows.
Mission accomplished.
Now watch this drive.

zarqawi is an apocryphal character as president chimp needs a boogeyman to continue justifying the iraq war.

on an unrelated note, anyone notice that the zarqawi composite looks like general zod?

AV1, welcome to fark. offensive comments and/or screen names abound. I don't like the name either, but whining about it is NOT going to get it removed and we like it that way.

Let's let Teresa Heinz help find him...
...how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?

Just one example:
According to the G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter of WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4 million to an organization called the Tides Foundation. And what does the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?

They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.

They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart, has been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, communicate with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

interesting...

Why doesn't anyone ever mention the fact that Clinton sent troops to protect the Serbs in Bosnia who are these same muslims who attacked us on 911? Or the fact that Kerry is getting his policies directly from Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto? Or Hillary Clintons idea that "it takes a town to raise a child", which is Socialism is every aspect. (abolish the family- teach what the government wants to be taught- Communist Mannifesto- Karl Marx) Keep fighting W! If not we're going to become a Communist Government and not even realize it. I'll be glad to supply many more examples of the stupidity of the Democratic Party but i've got to go to work to support the lazy people in this country (take from the most able and give to those who need- Karl Marx- Communist Mannifesto)

As an independent, I can tell you that if they capture him, I would see it as a reflection on our military (or the Iraqi police), not on Bush. Bush wasn't out there in a Humvee arresting the bad guys...

2004-07-29 11:05:42 AM
The bad news is that Bush might "win" again. The good news is that I just received a job offer in England, and the interview is in December. Just enough time to see who wins but not enough time for martial law to be declared, and my passport and work visa revoked.

Right... And I'm sure you're hoping for a terror attack on October 30, right? Just before the election so we can rally 'round the president?

You're an ass for saying I don't want my country to succeed. And what the hell is a neo-dem? You're just making words up now.

Bosnia is in Saudi Arabia?

Or the fact that Kerry is getting his policies directly from Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto?

Specifics, please.

Show me where she said to abolish the family, please. Social responsibility does not equal eliminating families or parents.

NINJAS should be criminalized and all arrested. Night time would be a good opportunity to get them all. The only thing they want is to kill the President, which is paramount to treason. Treat them like traitors. They are.

just a bit of background from the bbc -

But some analysts contested the claim, pointing to Mr Zarqawi's historical rivalry with Bin Laden.

Both men rose to prominence as "Afghan Arabs" - leading foreign fighters in the "jihad" against Soviet forces in Afghanistan in the 1980s.

After the Soviets were defeated, Mr Zarqawi went back to Jordan.

He spent seven years in prison there, accused of conspiring to overthrow the monarchy and establish an Islamic caliphate.

Not long after his release, he fled the country.

Jordan tried him in absentia and sentenced him to death for allegedly plotting attacks on American and Israeli tourists.

Western intelligence indicated Mr Zarqawi had sought refuge in Europe.

German security forces later uncovered a militant cell which claimed Mr Zarqawi was its leader.

The cell-members also told their German interrogators their group was "especially for Jordanians who did not want to join al-Qaeda".

Indeed.

Lord knows it would be unfortunate and unfair if the President was held accountable for or forced to deal with the responsibility of the deaths of soldiers in a war which he led us into which has no link to the war on terror.

You heard about this thing, democracy? It's about people choosing their leaders, and people having the right to say what they think about their leaders.

But always fun to watch you yanks fight each other.

Yeah, that guy's an idiot. It's like the moron in the story yesterday who melted the ice-cream and said (paraphrasing), "those soldiers fought and died for the freedom of speech except for the right to criticize the prezznit."

My hope is that these un-democratic (in both senses) morons can't figure out the newfangled ee-lecric votin' picture boxes come November.

I tell you what it'll be interesting to see the Republican national convention what past great presidents the party points out. I mean they are going to have to go all the way back to lincoln. Who else?? I mean I guess you can argue Reagan, I personally disagree with a lot of the things he stood for (Deinstitutionalization, Iran-Contra, War On Drugs, etc..) But I mean be realistic where is the republican party's FDR or JFK or for that matter even Clinton??? Old and Busted= Republicans New and Hot= Democrats

I am just sick of hearing about soldiers deaths like it is a game. If this many die Bush wins, if this many die Kerry wins. I understand that most people do not mean offense by saying this (including you Close2TheEdge) but I just don't think that people are thinking.

let me help jb - You see, all muslims are the same, so by helping people that were being slaughtered, we are supporting terrorists. Come to think of it, since we have an army in Iraq, and they're mostly muslims... hmm.

Nice try but 1st of all Hamas does not = Al queda. Hamas is a radical group fighting for independence. Now that said I don't believe for a minute they are doing it properly but they at least have a cause. Second how about a headline like Republicans fund REAL terrorists like ENRON, HALLIBURTON, WORLDCOM, and BIG PHARMA. That cause MILLIONS of our nations eldery to be forced with the choice of either food or medicine. Bush's solution = let people make even more money off the edlery by coming out with these bull s**t cards. It's too bad he didn't support Al Queda and fly them home or anything or else you might have a case

2004-07-29 11:16:34 AM
In the journalism world, I have a saying.

When I get a press release from a company talking about some big customer win, I call it a "Look - I Sold One!!!" release.

It is summarily thrown into the garbage can. You're supposed to sell things - you're a company. It's not newsworthy.

Ditto this. Bush has used 3 years to go after terrorists. I'd hope he'd catch at least ONE. Of course,e ven now that looks like so much hoo-haa.

If you're happy with the rate of one big fish every three years, by all means, re-elect him.
