Veggie haggis? An abomination against God. But I suppose PETA will be promoting it...

These douchebags evan have a veggie diet for CATS.
My cat weighs 17 pounds and is 13" high at the shoulder. He's not fat. Just real big. He's a tom.
Go ahead. Give him a tomato. He'll beat you to death with the steer leg he's gnawing on.

yea, another meat for veggos to simulate

why eat soy sausage with little fake grill marks?

why eat soy 'chicken'

soy hotdog???

veggie haggis takes the cake. Veggos just want to eat meat. Looks pretty good though.

Gah! Haggis is one of the foulest foods in the world. Why in the name of sweet baby Jeebus would anyone want to simulate haggis in veggie form?

2002-01-25 11:13:39 PM
Definitely not the bagless haggis.

This is the ONLY way you'd get me to eat haggis.

And what the hell's wrong with eating vegetarian anyway? I occasionally eat a nice juicy steak, but for your health, veggie's the way to go.

Nothing wrong with a mostly veggie diet. It's the holier than thou freaks that say "Thou shalt not consume anything from an animal" that bother me on a health and a social level. Fanatics for any cause are dangerous. Oh, and on a Fark-type tangent, if Veggies can't consume anything from an animal, does that mean Veggie women don't swallow?

2002-01-25 11:38:49 PM
Wow. Those tatties are so saggy even the neeps are all stretched out.

OverMuch This is the ONLY way you'd get me to eat haggis.

Then you've obviously missed the point. It's up there with Aussies and Vegimite, or French Canadians and Poutine. You don't simulate these things out of tofu. People who eat them don't care if its healthy or not (their not, BTW). They eat them because they like it.

Go graze on salads and douse your self in evian water. It leaves more meat for the rest of us.

I mashed my neeps once, moving a dresser. My tatties were sore for days.

If we weren't supposed to eat meat, it wouldn't taste so good. Simple.

CanuckGuyNo reason to be a dick about it. I eat vegetarian because *I* like it. Is that okay with you?

Funny how I do something for me and myself alone, don't preach about it, and yet it pisses people off something fierce.

Seeing as I'm called "VeggieGuy", I might as well get my two cents in on this.

It's good to have a vegetarian option for everything.. I think of it this way -- there are times in which vegetarians and especially vegans feel left out of customs such as Thanksgiving because of their focus around meat. They want to eat healthy. They don't want to support factory farming or needless suffering of animals. So, if a way exists for them to circumvent it and still be a part of the ceremony, it's completely feasible.

If someone wants to eat veggie haggis, good for them. But they should not be criticized for it, either way. They have their reasons, and their philosophies behind it, and they're completely logical. Veggie diets are healthier anyway, simply put.. Go vegan and cholesterol won't even touch your diet. (Neither will B12, but dietary supplements do exist.)

Plus, haggis is disgusting anyway after you find out what it is.

Meateaters among the farkers, show a little understanding for the veggies and vegans among you.

Of course it is really good to be a vegetarian, but why haggis? I guess all the Scottish vegetarians are feeling left out right now.

2002-01-26 01:52:42 AM
I meant the Scottish veggies did feel left out, but they are happy now. They can enjoy nasty heart, liver, and lung surprise with the rest of their friends!

Dont worry veggieguy, some of the men on here have eaten too much red meat.

or... not enough.

Hmm. Veggie haggis sounds about as pointless as Guiness Light.

2002-01-26 12:51:44 PM
Haggis is nasty on its own. But veggie-haggis? What's the point? haggis is, by definition, lungs boiled while in the stomach of the animal...?

Stupid vegetarians. Eat what you will, just don't fark with already good meals and try to pass them off as the original thing...
