Hey TwistedIvory, any tips for putting on weight? I'm of the extremely skinny type, but not exactly unathletic - I race mountain bikes (and very occasionally road bikes), am a professional ski instructor, etc... I just can't put on weight for the life of me. I lift, ideally, about 4 times a week for an hour and a half (don't want to burn too many calories while I'm there, or I'd stay longer)... and eat craploads of food. Try for my weight in grams of protein every day - usually make it.

Did you use creatine at all? Protein shakes/bars? Any general tips? Pyramids/strip sets/ rep variation?

jonbond: Obviously to gain weight you just need to eat more calories than you're burning. As a martial-arts instructor and rock climber, though, I have one hell of a hard time putting on weight; it takes me weeks and weeks to gain a pound or two since I make a point to eat clean foods only.

I've had really good luck with my workouts; the body is second to my acheivements in the gym (squat 585, bench 315, barbell press 225, etc.)

I'd be more than happy to share tips and tricks, but I don't want to threadjack; e-mail me if you have questions!

Bodies and faces do matter when ogling and/or self-gratification are the main objectives, but that's just fantasy.

For example, my guy doesn't quite match the type of guy I'm instantly attracted to. I'm still extremely attracted to him (even after 8 years and one kid) and I don't feel like I've settled in any way.

The point? It depends on what you're looking for. Were I on the prowl just for sex, looks would be more important than if I were looking for a partner, though I can only speak for myself.
