"Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0401'

Expected end of statement"

Yep, that's pretty useless.
2002-01-24 03:46:06 PM
Both Microsoft and VBscript are useless, apparently.

Maybe this should get the "scary" tag.....990,000 Jehovah's Witnesses. Damn.
2002-01-24 04:06:40 PM
They didn't mention Fark. worthless stats indeed.
2002-01-24 04:28:13 PM
So when I go spend a night in a hotel and add the cost of average restaurat meals, I spend just about the same as what's spent daily on a prisoner? WTF?? I thought inmates were supposed to be punished in prison, not live like they're in a hotel and eating in restaurants.

35% of the people that filled out the survey, filled it out incorrectly in order to get it out of there face.
2002-01-24 04:55:13 PM
That's right, you were stalked by minimum wage census workers for a year so the gummint could tell how many people went bass fishing in 2000.
2002-01-24 05:06:16 PM
If you wanted to kill some spare time outside the 39.6 hours on average you spent working each week in 2000 (unless you worked in agriculture, where you put in an extra two hours per week), perhaps you joined one of the 1,329 hobby associations, 295 fraternities and sororities, or 380 fan clubs across the nation.

380 fan clubs in the USA? That's poppycock. Someone's way off on that number.

That's right, you were stalked by minimum wage census workers for a year so the gummint could tell how many people went bass fishing in 2000.

actually the average census worker made 10-13 dollars an hour

If you touched my ballsack in the year 2000, you weren't in an exclusive group.
27,000 Americans touched my ballsack that year, with roughly 20,000 of them making below $6.00 per hour.

No comment on the number of people who were infected with viruses, MS(nbc).
2002-01-24 06:08:52 PM
I now feel dumber by reading that
2002-01-24 06:17:04 PM
It's both useless and interesting?
2002-01-24 06:31:08 PM
Factoid not widely reported: 100% of people are either stupid or worthless.
2002-01-24 06:43:26 PM
Hmmm... "Useless" and "interesting" at the same time.

Love it!

If you had a bad flight in the past couple of years, you certainly weren't alone. (Of course, you knew that.)

Did we really need census stats to tell us that Nevada has the highest marriage and divorce rates?
2002-01-24 09:17:33 PM
Wow... some really interesting links toda.... I'm sorry, was I snoring?
2002-01-24 09:32:33 PM
Anyone else wonder how far southwest the population center moved after 9/11?

76 billion pounds of meat? Gee, I wonder why we're such a farking fatass nation. That's (by calculations in my head) approximately 250-275 pounds of meat per year per person. about 2/3 pound a day, and that's not taking vegetarians into account. Not that they would alter the statistic too much, but for every one that doesn't eat any meat, there's someone who's eating a pound and a half a day. This country sucks.
2002-01-24 10:24:17 PM

Google search for "fan club" or "fan clubs": Results of about 21,200. Search took 0.40 seconds.

I'm sure there are more.
2002-01-24 10:26:48 PM
Scratch that...

Google search for "fan club" OR "fan clubs": Results of about 704,000. Search took 0.28 seconds.
2002-01-24 10:28:17 PM
Pass the meatloaf please.
2002-01-24 11:37:38 PM
This country sucks.

Don't let the doorknob hit you in the ass on the way out.

And if I ate a pound and a half of pasta and bread a day, I'd be any less fat? But, hey, eat what you want, more meat for me. And when I've eaten enough over a long enough period of time, I'll get old, I'll get sick, and I'll die. And after eating only vegtables for a long enough time, you'll get old, you'll get sick, and you'll die.

Have a nice day! :-)

$103 paid per inmate per day in Minnesota jails? That is so insane! Their costs of living are higher than most law-biding people.
2002-01-25 12:18:57 AM
Ijust did a quick calculation.....My family and I (6 of us) just survived on $23 a day last year. I am leaving the family and robbing a store in Minnesota. And then driving to the jail my self
2002-01-25 01:09:59 AM
Heh, I worked for the census bureau in the summer of 2000. I had to go door to door explaining to rednecks how to fill the census form out and tell them that the government wasn't stalking them. I also discovered that the census wasn't used to put people in "camps" in WW2, that part was played by the IRS.

Of course it is one government institution pointing at another...
2002-01-25 02:13:50 AM
Aragante: Not to bust your chops but unless you all were living in a cardboard box during that time, I find it hard to believe that a family of 6 could get by on $23 a day for a year. Heck you couldn't even buy dinner for 6 at McD's for that.
2002-01-25 03:33:22 AM
6 Happy meals costs a lot less than $23.
2002-01-25 06:01:30 AM
EggYolkEnema: OK, but what's the rest of my family gonna eat.
2002-01-25 08:10:36 AM
I love teh Statistical abstract. It's REALLY useful, and a LOT of work goes into it. But then, I edit social studies textbooks, so I'm always using it for fun facts.
2002-01-25 06:48:21 PM
Oops....meant $23 EACH. Sorry for the confusion
