2004-07-17 07:55:20 PM
Why would you leave a Jimmy Buffett cd in a rental car? Doesn't that go in a cd collection only to dust fall on it, never to be used?

2004-07-17 07:55:32 PM
dumb ass

2004-07-17 07:55:33 PM
89 bags of heroine in the car, 89 bags of heroine

Still no sign of my returned rental heroin.

2004-07-17 08:08:13 PM
Its bad enough to leave your stash in the car, but your wallet too? Folks, lets be glad that most criminals are really dumb. This one will be serving time in a federal-pound-you-in-the-ass prison. Adios, mo-fo!

2004-07-17 08:08:48 PM
I wouldnn't hold out much hope for the tape deck though.

Jimmy Buffett CD? I don't get it ... unless it says something about the mental capacity of the kind of guy who would hide 88 bags of heroin under a layer of napkins in a rental car.

2004-07-17 08:20:35 PM
This is why you don't DO drugs if you're going to deal them.

Myself, I prefer just doing them so you don't get the 'intent to distribute' bonus if you get caught. But I just smoke weed, so in Oregon it's no big deal.

2004-07-17 08:23:08 PM
Damn, why don't I ever find a ton of smack in my rental car?

2004-07-17 08:23:34 PM
a little blow, a little smack, a carton of smokes and a dark room...

/a perfect saturday night

also recovered: Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers...and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

Jimmy Buffett Heroin use.

Jimmy Buffett = absurd consumption of alcohol and marijuana.

Herion Use = Stone Temple Pilots, or some other such act.

Jeez. Neocon write that?

"Well, marijuana is just as bad as heroin, you know. Just ask Rush."

2004-07-17 08:30:06 PM
saneman -

nice one, underated and fantastic movie

2004-07-17 08:30:23 PM

2004-07-17 08:35:46 PM
what an idiot .. this guy must have been on heroin or somethin'

2004-07-17 08:42:05 PM
For those confused by the headline, I called a rental place literally moments after returning a car that I left my Buffett CD in and they couldn't/wouldn't find it. As well, it seems that anyone who travels for business has, at some time or another, left a CD or something in a car, and I have yet to find anyone who's gotten the stuff back. Lemme know if I'm wrong. No commentary about Buffett and alternative lifestyles or anything so sinister -- It's just that my Buffett CD is like your Guinness Bar Towels.

For those who liked the headline, Thanks! :)

2004-07-17 08:43:24 PM
What the hell do you Farkers have against Jimmy Buffett? Jimmy pwnz you all.

2004-07-17 08:44:59 PM
I've never lost a CD in a rental car, although the Hertz NeverLost system got me well lost one time.

2004-07-17 08:48:35 PM
while all jimmy buffet fans are idiots, not all idiots are jimmy buffet fans.

2004-07-17 08:49:25 PM
social lubricant - It's an even better book, where the quote comes from. In the movie, they say case of beer (not specifically Budweiser), probably because of copyright issues.

/huge Hunter S. Thompson nerd... hell, I even met the crazy bastard

2004-07-17 08:50:04 PM
Speaking as an idiot, roughmarble?

2004-07-17 08:51:49 PM
sometimes. not a buffet fan, though

2004-07-17 08:54:26 PM
Clearly... Because it's Buffett, not buffet.

If you're gonna call me an idiot, at least spell the source of the stereotyping correctly. :)

2004-07-17 08:55:22 PM
This guy is dead. No matter if he gets prison time. THats somebodies loot.

What an ass.... Shooting yourself would be faster. The shiv in prison will take longer and hurt like a biatch...

True, it wouldn't do for Budweiser to be associated with things that'll mess you up. Heh. Fanastic book, fantastic movie. Given the nature of the book, you'd almost expect the movie version to suck, but they pulled it off. And Johnny Depp's performance was spot on. My favourite actor.

BizarroBarjockey: You know, he could've paid for it beforehand. Sure, usually this kind of thing is fronted, but it's possible that it actually belonged directly to him instead of being someone else's stash.

Edsel: Good call... WTF is wrong with Jimmy Buffett? Margaritaville, biatches! At least all HE lost was a shaker of salt, unlike somebody else we know. :)

Personally, I am decidedly NOT a buffet fan. The food is always lower quality than what you get ordering right off the menu, which is fine if you want quantity instead, but then the people who still want quality are screwed, since trying to order off the menu at an establishment with a buffet is a tricky proposition at best. The waitress is trained to poke her head your way just long enough to point you to the clean plates, and is gone before you can say "But I'd like something off the menu, please!" And then when you finally do get to order, YOUR food takes twice as long because the restaraunt, having assumed that no one would want to order off the MENU when there's this beautiful, self-serve BUFFET available, goshdarnit, has to call the chef's house and get him out of bed to come cook because "Dammit, you won't believe this, somebody just came in and ordered FOOD! The NERVE!"

Besides, buffets encourage overeating, which is NOT a nudge we need here in the good ol' USmorbidlyobeseA....

...now an all-you-can-shoot HEROIN buffet....THAT would be something...

/this is your post on drugs

As an ex opiate abuser I cna imagine tha guys face when he realized where the dope was. Living in Pa he probably got 10 bundles for 6-7 hundred bucks and is probably going to at least double his money if he's dealing. If thats his weekend or week supply he's going to be really sick today. I don't think they give you subutex in the slammer at least not in my experience. Opiates are wonderful but the addiction isnt.

2004-07-17 09:22:07 PM
...Also, my rug was stolen.

2004-07-17 09:22:18 PM
I'd confess to dealing heroin before I'd confess to listening to Jimmy Buffet.

2004-07-17 09:37:09 PM

wonder if that guy's related to one who walked into the local photolab (in Abilene, Texas, in the late 70's), popped the top off a film bottle and dumped his stash of pot out on the countertop, while saying, "i need to get this proc.....oops, brought the wrong bottle!"
the proprietor said he never did come back with his film.

2004-07-17 09:58:31 PM
If it was a Delorian it would have been cocaine.

I wanna know what the other "bizarre" stuff left behind in rental cars. Blow up dolls?
