I submitted this earlier, but I got beat to it by someone. Whomever it was, curse you!

Indy in Area 51? Didn't the X-Files die yet? Those ideas all sound pretty bad but it's not like they've given themselves much choice. After recovering the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail, he's going to have to do more than dig up some old dinosaur bones to keep his streak going.

I remember watching indy when i was a little kid, i wanted to be a archeologist like him, still think it would be cool to be a archeologist.

Yeah, but is Indy on dialysis yet?

Spielberg also revealed that his wife, Kate Capshaw, will appear in the film.

Uh-oh. Because she was so utterly *fantastic* in Temple of Doom...blech.

This just in after much avoiding of the question, that small asian kid who was in 'Goonies' and 'Temple of Doom' will also be appearing in the next Indian Jones movie! Here is an excerpt from part of the dialogue between Indian Jones, and said asian kid:
Jones- " Kid, would ya hand me my hat? I need to get some shut eye

'Kid'-"Im not a kid anymore INDY!!!!Im 35 !!Do you even know my name old man"??
2002-01-22 09:55:41 AM
Nothing much to say, just thought it was appropriate that I make an appearance.

Oh yeah, can't wait!

they had better not ruin this like they did the batman movies,
the alien movies, and all the other sequels.
i grew up watching indy, and they had by god better not ruin it by making it for people that thought "operation swordfish" was good. movies today seem like they are made for
attention-deficit disorder kids.

Yeah, but if Lucas has a hand in it like he did the first three, it means *shudder* that Indy's sidekick this time would have to be...JAR-JAR!

"Yoousa going to bringing da Holy Grailen, Indy?"

I just made myself ill...bye

I'D see it, and my opinion matters.

hells ya, what's great is it doesn't matter how old Harrison Ford is, because all he has to do is play an older Indy. I can't wait for it to come out. woo hoo
2002-01-22 02:20:16 PM
But how can there be an older Indy? Didn't he drink from the grail of immortality in the Last Crusade?
2002-01-22 03:02:09 PM
Immortality doesn't mean that the person doesn't age. It just means that they can't die.

Hey Kelvington , way to read Ain't It Cool News Talkbacks!!!! Unless maybe that was you that wrote those there too....

I kinda liked that Atlantis idea. I knew of a girl once who was working on a novel about some sort of female spin off of Indy who discovered Atlantis.

Harrison Ford is rather old for the role now. I think Sean Patrick Flanery of Young Indy fame should replace him.

Dr. Jones - Yes the name and the Email are the same! It's me!
2002-01-22 05:19:09 PM
Aw, come on - Harrison Ford isn't THAT old, and he still has that great look and attitude that makes Indy who he was. Hell, they could somehow bring him into Star Wars Episode two as an older Han Solo shot back from the future, and as stupid of an idea as that would be, and even though he'd be an older Solo, he'd STILL be the best damn part of that movie.

My only problem is that knwoing how Lucas and Speilburg are these days, I have NO hope at all for this film. I'll still see it, though, of course.

I thought that guy died or somthing.....

The immortality of the grail only worked as long as you didnt pass the seal! thats why that knight had to stay there so long and thats why the other Knights who finally went back died of extreme old age once they left that cave.

glad I could clear that up.. I loved that farking movie!
2002-01-22 10:15:54 PM
Harrison isn't too old yet. As long as they don't do no prequels and no CGI Hitlers it should be cool.

What I won't accept is Sean Connery as his dad. In order for that to pan out Sean would have to sown his seed at the tender age of 12 in order to have a son as old as Indiana.

I wonder if they'll make the film of the game?
