It's a real shame milk is $4 a gallon these days. Somebody get on those cows to work a little harder.

2004-07-07 09:16:02 AM
Ok, sweet headline. I don't bother with saying that much but great stuff.

2004-07-07 09:16:52 AM
Nice. I also drink coffee, which also protects my colon according to some studies.

And I pour my espresso in a large glass of ice and milk.

I'm gonna live forever! My colon is the strongest muscle
in my body right now. I could pass Elvis through my colon right now.

I'm sure an angry letter from those PETA folks will be forthcoming. Hilarity to ensue.

It's disturbing that the same thing that provides healthy teeth is good for your ass-cavity too. It must suggest that the ass and the mouth are of similar design and characteristics.

2004-07-07 09:19:31 AM
Well, I drink an assload of Milk, so I should be in pretty good shape. I drink about a gallon every three or four days.

So.... how do you get the milk in your colon again?

GoodyearPimp

They are stealing the lifeblood from our bovine brothers and sisters, bottling it, and selling it to the masses! That's not natural! And they're using science again! No fair! waaaaah!

So who was the first person to come up with the idea to drink cow's milk? Was is a really thirtsy guy or a very sick individual. "Hey scoot over there calf and let me have a suck on that teet."

How come humans are the only animals that drink milk after weening? And it's not even human milk, we switch over to cow's milk.

Mmmm breast milk.

So does this apply to human breast milk, too? If so, that would be the best cancer fighting regiment that I could think of.

2004-07-07 09:47:35 AM
Ugg. I can't fathom how people can actually sit and drink milk. On cereal fine, but as a beverage? Ugg.

/never had a cavity. Broke my shoulders once but no amount of milk in the world could have stopped that.

This explains Morton Downey Jr., Condoleeza Rice and Tim McCarver.

Because we're the only animal capable of farming cows. Milk is one of the best food substances there is, but it's a huge drain on the provider. Animals obviously have to wean off it, as you can't have an endless chain of animal feeding off parent, who feeds off parent etc. It just doesn't work.

2004-07-07 09:55:32 AM
ArnoldZiffel: We are the only animal that cooks their food too, but most don't have a problem with that.

I'm not buying this study for a second. At the very least, if milk does in fact decrease your risk for colon cancer, it certainly increases your risk for other cancers and heart disease. The human body does not easily absorb the calcium from milk, and the proteins in milk actually leech calcium from your bones. The only countries in the world where people get osteoporosis are the countries that drink cow's milk.
If you drink whole milk you are increasing your risk for heart disease and clogged arteries.
The hormones and intense levels of pesticides are sure to increase your risk for cancer.

Actually, high levels of protein in general is thought to be the cause of osteoporosis. It'll be interesting to see how Atkins dieters fare long term.

I wonder how Milk got into the human diet anyway?

So like 9000 years ago , some cave dude decided oneday to suck of a cow and got bukkaked?. but when he tasted it tasted good and encouraged his friends to do it?

Well...don't you find that odd. Everytime a new 'breakthrough' happens and we find somethings good for you or bad for you people completely shift their way of life and spends lots of money on ways to exploit that.

/suuure thats a "milk" mustache

I drink about a litre and a half a day. I was surprised to find that it did nothing to protect the bones in my foot when a 120 kilo slab of concrete fell on it.

2004-07-07 11:09:44 AM
I drink lots of soy milk. I am allergic to milk. It makes me sneeze. I've never had a broken bone. Or an ear infection.

It really bugs me when people assume that the ONLY source for calcium is cow's milk. Nope. Not gonna find it ANYWHERE else. No sir.

/(had cavities, but it's my mum's fault for giving me her genetically inferior teef)

While I am now biologist, but the first folds in the mesoderm (one of the 3 basic germ layers) during embryonic development creates the mouth in protostomes or the anus in deuterostomes. Humans are deuterostomes, so we get the anus folds first.

So they really aren't that different...

those milk ads make me nauseous. for some reason seeing congealed milk deposits on facial orifices turns my stomach.

To all of you who are tooting your horn that you have never had a cavity before... I'm NOT impressed... That is... unless you are British.

Never had a cavity or a broken bone

Really? Countries that eat lots of meat and dairy have the highest incidence of osteoporosis.

2004-07-07 11:25:06 AM
Seeing as meat is the #1 cause for colon cancer; the human body can't digest it properly, I'm finding this tough to believe. No, we're SUPPOSED TO consume milk from another species, that will prevent cancer. They've got us all fooled.
