Thank fark. Gephardt would have lost the election for the Dems.

2004-07-06 07:42:37 AM
puchu,

I thought Kerry was doing that?

2004-07-06 07:45:52 AM
Holy shiate... can the press ever just WAIT a few before announcing these stories?!?! They make themselves look bad everytime.

2004-07-06 07:52:04 AM
I dunno, Bush is doing a good job losing the election for the GOP

2004-07-06 07:54:09 AM
... and if this is true, I'm voting for Edwards for president.

2004-07-06 07:58:13 AM
If the polls were even before, it will be interesting to see them now.

"XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX WED JUNE 30, 2004 11:18:25 ET XXXXX

VICE PRESIDENT HILLARY; SPECULATION INTENSIFIES IN WASHINGTON

Official Washington and the entire press corps will be rocked when Hillary Rodham Clinton is picked as Kerry's VP and a massive love fest will begin!

So predicts a top D.C. insider, who spoke to the DRUDGE REPORT on condition he not be named.

"All the signs point in her direction," said the insider, one of the most influential and well-placed in the nation's capital. "It is the solution to every Kerry problem."

....

"Official Washington and national media will fall in love with the idea immediately letting Kerry/Clinton dominate the news through July and up to the Republican convention. She will say she is doing it for the good of the country. I am convinced this is going to happen."

...

Developing...

F*ck you, Drudge. F*ck you very much.

Seriously, you Dems, as a Republican who can't stand Bush, I was really hoping you guys would put together a quality ticket so I wouldn't feel bad about voting out of my party.

A Kerry-Edwards offer is the best you could come up with???

Looks like another 4 years of deficit spending...

2004-07-06 08:05:45 AM

aw shiat.

2004-07-06 08:06:03 AM
Who else HomerSamson?

2004-07-06 08:15:39 AM
Whew. Now I won't have to worry about assassination attempts on Kerry when he's president.

SPECULATION INTENSIFIES

?? Do you seriously take Drudge as a legit news source? Especially when he reports on gossip and in the headline tells you it is nothing more than gossip?

2004-07-06 08:18:32 AM
Hmm... Anyone got a /b laying around? I seem to have left mine at home.

2004-07-06 08:19:07 AM
I think Drudge headlines are actually manfestations of Drudge's masturbatory fantasies.

2004-07-06 08:25:03 AM
Nooooooo, I don't consider him a news source. I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight exactly what you said, SethJ. I think my thoughts on Drudge echo Yesdo's.

2004-07-06 08:25:18 AM
I can only hope that it's true.. I can laugh at the Post for speculating Gephardt. Nothing against the guy, but his time was over in 88.

2004-07-06 08:25:42 AM
I want McCain. :(

2004-07-06 08:25:44 AM
Hrmmm...I thought that an e-mail was supposed to go out before it hit the media. What a lying piece of shiat. I just switched my vote from Kerry.

GLASS PARKING LOT!

oh wait... nevermind.

2004-07-06 08:26:10 AM
I think Drudge headlines are actually manifestations of the mind of Bobbo, Drudge's platypus friend who tells him the news and to burn things.

2004-07-06 08:26:46 AM

And the conned-servative lapdog NY Post is owned...

2004-07-06 08:26:57 AM
Wow, now BOTH Kerry and Edwards are going to lose!

2004-07-06 08:27:05 AM
I love it. We in NC didn't want Edwards for senator anymore... and now we've released him upon the rest of the country!! hahahaha This is man that can't even pay his property taxes on time. He's been late 9 out of the last 10 years, his excuse, "a simple oversite".

2004-07-06 08:27:41 AM
I just switched my vote from Kerry.

What? The waffling wasn't enough???

2004-07-06 08:28:07 AM
In other news, NY Post has a Dewey.

I don't know what you're talking about, because I got mine in the wee hours of the morning.

Interesting information leakage there. Amazing what you can figure out by just noticing things. But then again, 49% of the people voted for Bush.

Edwards is the worst thing Bush/Cheny could have happen. Kerry looks like $20 bill and comes off like an elder statesman, Edwards will charm and debate them into the ground without even working up a sweat.
Let's see what K&E come up with in terms of forign relations so that we can get the rest of the world to quit thinking of the USA as the real terrorists here and start working together again.

twobux, an e-mail did go out: http://www.drudgereport.com/je.jpg

2004-07-06 08:28:57 AM
boooring....

2004-07-06 08:29:02 AM
Lapdog NY Post? You're talking about FoxNews' own Newspaper. Of course they'd want Gephardt, it'd be an easier run in November.

After Kerry got the nod, Edwards as VP was the best the Dems could do.

2004-07-06 08:29:07 AM
Anyone notice Drudge has a submit form now to send them news items? How lame! I bet they get so much spam they turn it off asap....

2004-07-06 08:29:11 AM
Excellent! Now my first choice for pres will get into the white house. As VP, but hey.

Here's to a great 16 years!

2004-07-06 08:29:21 AM
Pacifix:- Were they really going to run with that picture of them about to kiss?

2004-07-06 08:29:56 AM
Tigerspirit

I'm with you on that one. Hell, I would have loved him for president too. *sighs*

2004-07-06 08:30:30 AM
Look for Bush to dump Cheney (who bows out for health reasons) and pick McCain at the convention - it's the only way he can win now and he'll have to practically blow McCain to get him to accept it.

Otherwise, I can't wait for the debate between the VP/Emperor Cheney and Johnathon Skywalker - I mean Edwards.

2004-07-06 08:30:31 AM
w00t, yay for Bush.

Bush/McCain anyone?

2004-07-06 08:30:32 AM
Whoopeedoo...

2004-07-06 08:31:12 AM
Can someone please explain to me the significance of a running mate? What is his purpose? Does he really hold the candidates walkman when they go for a jog?

As a point of reference I understand the British political system...

2004-07-06 08:31:18 AM
Edwards really looks to me like a good guy.

Sure, he's rich now, but wasn't born into society's elite.
Sure, he's only had 5 years of experience, but that's what Bush had before becoming president.
Sure, he's a trial lawyer, but so was Abraham Lincoln.

Also, he'll help get his home state, and he'll help get women (he was People magazine's "sexiest politician" a few years back).

Now, if only there were a way to bump Kerry off the ticket...
