I don't even bother submitting links anymore..I've found some really good ones, and they either never made it, or were already submitted....and not used. I give up, I don't know what the heck their criteria is when they shoot down what I perceive to be good links and green light every Paris or Britney story that comes down the pipe.

There was that fark thread, about a week or so ago... to submit your name if you want a gmail invite, or have some to donate. Not digging through the archives, right now, but it's there, and someone will hook you up.

I haven't had gmail for long, and I'm wondering how to get invites to give away? Do they just magically appear in your inbox, one day? Or do you have to beg the gmail over lords? Just wondering.

My friend and I both received 6 invites. I gave away 5, my friend gave away 4. A couple days later I checked and I had 7 invites (the one left over plus 6 more.) My friend checked and he still only had two. Weird.

a red link shows up at the top of the page right under the search boxes that says "invite a friend to join gmail" and when you click it, it will tell you how many invites you have. if you have no red link, i assume that means no invites to give. iono

oh..i should prolly tell the masses who are dying for a gmail account how i got mine. was simple really. if you sign up for a blog account at blogger.com (which of course is owned by google) on the sign in page it will tell you that since you are a valued blogger user you can sign up for gmail.

/minor detail i guess i shoulda shared earlier
