Can I just ask how somebody finds an article so small and insignifact?
Who's searching for these?
2004-06-27 08:17:15 PM
Still waiting for the good looking scientist guy to tell us what we can do to fight the meteor menace just like in the movies. Of course any excuse for the good looking to show up is welcomed.

Posting of metoer reports on Fark, encourages more posting of metoer reports on Fark, encourages 'world is about to be deluged by meteor(s)" theories on Fark.
Soooo predictable. You might as well post reports of rainbows.

/now watch this drive
2004-06-27 08:44:34 PM

2004-06-27 08:53:45 PM
This, I imagine is another June Bootid (sorry about the lack of dieresis).
Expect more of these before the end of the month.
of course, given that they are a relatively new phenomenon, it's entirely possible that they were made up in an attempt to allay panic in these final days. If so,
It has been a pleasure working with you all....
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to me,

Aussie Bloke warned us all.....

Aussie bloke is a hoax.. he even used an alias, just wants to sell books!

it's normal for meteors to come down, except that fark is posting them all so it seems like there's more coming our way.

sort of like the flesh eating disease frenzy, it happens, but when news channels report it more often, it's like an epidemic.

in other news....

please vote in November for Kerry!!

2004-06-27 09:25:23 PM
Yeast Infection ?
Did you just try to turn a story about meteors into a political thread?
2004-06-27 09:29:02 PM
when the next really big one hits, my big bet is on the sewer dwellers surviving, but keep a boat handy, most of the third planet is covered with water.

/darken the skies will you?
2004-06-27 09:53:09 PM
I have read of more fireballs in the night sky in the last 3 weeks than I have read about my entire life. Something is up. Don't know what, but something. Wait, isn't it something is coming down? I don't know. I just wish the clouds would clear enough for me to see one. It's been cloudy here every night for the last several weeks. All these rocks are going to be done falling and I won't get to see so much as one. Just my luck.
2004-06-27 09:58:14 PM
It's probably just space junk.

Tomorrow's headline - "Sputnik wipes out Tacoma."
2004-06-27 09:58:33 PM
Please stay out of our global domination plans, we need a colony of warm locations to winter.

2004-06-27 10:09:27 PM
I blame Bush
2004-06-27 10:16:48 PM
If kkklinton hadn't lied, Bush wouldn't have had to do this, you old liberal hippy douche.
2004-06-27 10:17:03 PM
I, for one, welcome our new meteor overlords.

2004-06-27 11:10:23 PM
Ever since that whole AussieGuy thing (which was a sham) I have been looking for a site that shows frequency and location of metors and cannot. Any one have a link?
