Strange for a Leinster man. Usually they are more celtic/viking mish mash, not dark.

The dark look is less to do with horny Spanish sailors (though it is a little to do with it, in the SouthWest at least) and more to do with concentrations of the pre celts. Who ever they were, they were smaller in height and darker then the celts, and their influence remains in places. i cound my own father and his family amongst them.
