Soon they will begin to feed on US. And here we are worrying about the robots. Thank you, science.

I think they need to thin them out. Theyve got too many of them.

The sea lions or the fishermen???

Alexis 2004-04-11 08:14:44 PM
I briefly read that as "the best fisting is at the dam". That brought about a rather interesting mental picture.

Love gator, never tried sea lion tho.

Any one know what it's like?

I keep getting banned for minor infractions. Beg my pardon, they aren't even infractions. My posts are deleted because they go against mainstream Fark thinking. Sad.

How many will end up in the desert after being shot in the head?

Simpson/Lachey Variety show at 9 eastern.

Am I the only one to notice the name of the guide service? The Bite Me guide service. Wow. Now that's good stuff.

This isn't interesting. The inevitable destruction that comes about when they try to get rid of them is the REAL article we should be waiting for!

"I dunno, probably tastes like ferret."
"Wow, You've had ferret?"
"Yeah."
"What's it taste like?"
"Chicken."

The fishermen are'nt pleased!

fark the fishermen! They can get in their pick up trucks and go fish elsewhere. The sea lions are simply doing what is natural for them. It's survival. If Bubba can't catch a salmon he won't die. The sea lions on the other hand REQUIRE the fish for survival.

Of course now if sea lion stakes are any good...fark the sea lions!

Dennis Hull, who owns Salem-based Bite Me Guide Service, said he didnt see sea lions Thursday but that something should be done.

On some days, you can watch one sea lion bite the belly out of 20 or 30 salmon, he said. I think they need to thin them out. Theyve got too many of them.

WTF? Yeah, god forbid the farking sea lions go eat fish to stay alive! They're encroaching on your farking sport fishing! What gives THEM the right, eh - just showing up in the area God gave you to wrench fish out of the water with high tech line and lures?

Somebody needs to cull the farking fishermen.

(is there a 'mainstream Fark thinking'? I don't think such a thing is even possible)

Cry some more.

El_Swino 2004-04-11 09:34:48 PM
Are sea lions good eatin'?

captain applesauce 2004-04-11 09:42:33 PM
Chariset

I think mainstream Fark thinking is "You're wrong, and everyone should listen to what I say".

Sea lions teaching each other that the best fishing is at the dam

The dam what?

If the sea lions and the beavers work out an alliance pact, we're all DOOMED! DOOMED, I SAY!

Folks, what we have here is a crisis. What with these newly smart sea lions and dolphins with opposable thumbs, humanity is up against some fearsome aquatic mammalian foes. I think it's time we give the Justice League a call. Maybe Aquaman can be of some use for a change.

laid back w/bud light 2004-04-11 10:47:13 PM
Just because they're cute doesn't mean they aren't tasty. The forward thinker would find a way to market them to the Chinese and Japanese, They're already raping the oceans as it is. Take a look into the bluefin tuna market as an example. One 300lb. tuna sold for $140,000 a few years ago. Now you're lucky to get $6/lb for them in the northeast. Fish do not feel pain either PETA lovers.

Harming a sea lion is a federal offense???

Beat up an old lady: 30 days in prison
Beat up an old sea lion: life

If this was Texas, you'd get the death penalty.

Shirley Ujest 2004-04-12 12:25:07 AM
Clearly the sea lions need to be relocated to a new enviroment, say a golf course.

That might liven up golf a bite...bit.

captain applesauce: I guess that means that he was banned for admitting that he was wrong and conceding an argument...?

I dunno, I argue with people all the time and I have yet to be banninated. Politically, Fark swings from left to right and back on a random basis to keep it interesting, so I can't help but disagree every few days. I don't really know why people get banned without violating the TOS - that's at the discretion of whoever does it.
