I loved Sam and Max. Of course, I had no idea they were making a sequel; I would have rather not known! Damn you Totalfark!

First the demise of Sierra into nothing more than a publishing house... now Lucasarts cancelling every game anyone would give a damn about.

They need a Leisure Suit Larry FPS. There would be some cool guns and ammo, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

Lucasarts adventure games provide me with my best funny moments in gaming. The Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, even Grim Fandango were all great games! I never got to play the original Sam and Max, but it looked like it was right up my alley. Lucasarts - get your head out of your butt!

I hope they hit the road to another company. Does this mean the future is bleak for a sequel to Grim Fandango and anymore Monkey Island adventures?

Gee, with the cancellation of the Sam and Max sequel suddenly my life has become bleak and meaningless.

Anyhow, although odds are that it's gone forever, there's a few things that all Fark Sam & Max fans can do:

- Email p­rs­t­r­as­ac­ul­com and tell'em what you think.

- Sign a petition here and here. Yes, online petitions are lame and probably won't do anything, but it doesn't hurt to try.

- Post something to the official LucasArts forums over here. All messages will most likely be purged Monday morning, but LucasArts will at least take notice that their nearly dead forums are filling up with people whining, complaining and threatening never to buy another LucasArts game.

Like I said, it's a long shot that the decision will be reversed, but if it could happen to Family Guy, but if enough people biatch, who knows... (and yes, I know that Family Guy is a different story altogether, couldn't think of anything else, *sigh*)

They canned full throttle, that was my game.

Video Games are not populist. Just as the biggest money makers (with a few exceptions) are the movie equivilent of pablum, so it will go with the gaming industry.

With mass culture success comes a watering down of originaly and quality.

I remember carefully covering up the (humorous, non-standard) warning label when I asked my dad to borrow the money to buy the Sam and Max game. That was one of the funniest games ever.

Lucas Archives Volume 1, which included Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis, Day of the tentacle, and Sam and max. I played those games for years to come on my 486 sx2. Those were possibly some of the best games I have ever played, and given the chance I would spend the rest of the night playing Indiana Jones and into the morning.

And I was looking forward to some hardcore S&M.

BTW, if anyone knows where to get the Sam & Max comic books I'll be eternaly grateful.

No, Fallout 3 is sh*tcanned. Your probably thinking of the Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel spinoff for consoles. Anyway they were well into production on fallout 3 when it got cancelled, screenshots all over the internet and such. Oh well, damn shame. Let the unwashed moronic masses have their doom 4 and sims 3 mindless drivel.

This is disgusting. I've been a hardcore Lucasarts fan ever since the original days of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Atlantis. I loved Full Throttle, Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle, and the Monkey Island series (Best games ever). I could forgive them for shutting down Full Throttle 2 when it was in its infancy, but cancelling Samn and Max 2, after it had already been almost ready for release, when there were NO problems with it, sickened me. This is a spit in the face to all of their hardcore fans who've been with them for years. Let me just tell you Lucasarts. You used to be my favorite company, but let me assure you, I'm taking my allegiance elsewhere now. And let me leave you with a wholehearted "fark You"

This pissed me off so much. In my opinion, Sam and Max are the absolute funniest characters in any video game, or comic book, ever. I've pretty much lost faith in LucasArts.
