Strange that he keeps all this stuff in an underground cavern...

blowfish 2001-12-09 01:16:15 PM
Really cool site...if ya still owned an atari.

He keeps it in an underground cavern protected by his friend Osama....oh, Osama....you are so retro.

LordWatson 2001-12-09 01:19:28 PM
They ARE in a limestone cave!!! This is their warehouse!

Aammo 2001-12-09 01:19:32 PM
still own an atari- I have 2 now...

I remember the day my brother passed it over, it got placed on top of a PS2 and a dreamcast to be used for play-

it is hard to beat the programming skills of the old games, they may have been distinctly limited on graphics, controls, and sound, but they were replayable, easily understood, constant action, and inventive

LordWatson 2001-12-09 01:21:13 PM
Sorry about the size of the photo, I'm sure it will get cut out because of all those poverty stricken whiners without high speed internet.

Zylon 2001-12-09 02:06:21 PM
Geez LordWatson, who shoved the pole up your butt today?

I should go by and visit O'Shea sometime. It's right here in Kansas City. Maybe check out the 20,000 lbs of South American gold ore. WTF?

Clevernickname 2001-12-09 02:06:23 PM
That link title really deserves some kind of award.

AntiNorm [TotalFark] 2001-12-09 02:09:39 PM
All the "vibrating potatoes" you can "shake a joystick" at?

Clevernickname 2001-12-09 02:13:08 PM

Their Mr. Potato Head massagers. (Abbreviated near the top of the page as "Mr. Pot Head massager")

Clevernickname 2001-12-09 02:14:13 PM
Now, this is just disturbing.

What's Elroy doing down there?

ChemRat54B 2001-12-09 02:14:22 PM
AIT sucks ass. Thank god for weekend passes.

rhiannon [TotalFark] 2001-12-09 02:15:21 PM
Much thanks to whoever for posting that ad. As if popups weren't enough.......

BobNever 2001-12-09 02:34:37 PM
Here's an idea... download stella and all the games for the atari. It's not too hard a concept. And cheap too.

LordWatson 2001-12-09 02:37:28 PM
Zylon: The proverbial "Man" shoved the proverbial "pole" up my butt today. I'm at work. I got called in to replace someone on helpdesk. Sorry for the biatchin', but helpdesk is soul destroying. Some people are sooo dumb.

Wasn't this link posted a few months ago??

tre_bumpn 2001-12-09 02:55:11 PM
I'll stick with emulators. Thank you drive through.

Lord Watson

Let Nick be your guiding force at the helpdesk.

LordWatson 2001-12-09 03:09:24 PM
SFOTW: I never saw that episode of SNL. What's the joke??

Ipecac 2001-12-09 03:25:32 PM
That Ghosts of Pac Man "Eat Me" shirt looks cool!

scraping-fetus-off-the-wheel 2001-12-09 03:42:13 PM
Lord Watson

If you have Morpheus, then search for Nick Burns and download a few.

He's what helpdesk people really want to be.

LordWatson 2001-12-09 03:55:29 PM
Thanks SFOTW , I can't use Gnutella at work but I will when I get home.

holyman887 2001-12-09 04:09:30 PM
Ahhh, I understand now:
When ATARI went out of business, they had a few million cartridges to get rid of. Basically, they buried them in a cave. The owner of this site dug it all up and is now selling the cartridges at discount.

GadgetDon 2001-12-09 06:04:41 PM
Lord Watson, go to MP3 check out "Welcome to the Internet Help Desk". Done by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggae. I've had to do tech support for my company lately, and have used it to help keep my sanity.

As for the site...hey. They got a John Elway NFL bear. How bad can they be?

Willy Pete 2001-12-09 06:10:02 PM
You know Radio Shack still sells cartridges for the old Tandy Color Computer out of their mail-order catalog? I'd buy some, but they're asking for about 20$ each. Looks like somebody needs to study up on the law of supply and DEMAND.

Wow. A Mister Potato Head vibrator. The entire human race is going straight to hell when we die.

Ass_a_ma-Ben_Dover [TotalFark] 2001-12-09 07:04:33 PM
Check your mailboxes, you will see that "hey, Mr. Tallyban, Tally me bah, nah, nah" may already have one. Terrorists 2, Infidels, O

Rberry 2001-12-09 07:35:30 PM
Willy, reminds me of a KMart in Auburn, CA I saw a few years back that actually still had Atari 2600 paddles in their electronics section, and still wanted like $24.99 for them. Ridiculous.

By the way, how the heck does this giant classified ad rank being on the FARK main section? Lame

oddgodd 2001-12-10 01:04:44 AM
I refuse to buy anything from a place that employs zombie forklift drivers.

Pursuant 2001-12-10 01:28:06 AM
Rberry: The law of supply and demand was at work still. The item became more rare since the demand had dropped it's production. To make a profit and stay in business with less demand, the price had to be increased or the production would cease. If that happened, those left in existence would be come more valuable as their rarity increased. There seem to still be people willing to buy them, at least enough of them to sustain the production at that cost.
Go to ebay to discover that diminished popularity and functionality does not always affect cost as long as you have rabid followers.
