If you read the article before posting you would know that it stated sperm donors are usually anonymous but that it was a friend of the couples and thats why its known who is the father.

Oh, because he was a friend of the couple and he donated his sperm so that they could have a child, that makes him responsible for child support? Excuse me, but the PARENTS, the two women, are responsible for the child's support and welfare. A sperm donor does not a parent make.
Just like a hetrosexual couple that has children, a gay couple that decides to have children is responsible for the children. Straight couples that have children via a sperm donor don't have the option to sue that donor for child support, so why should a gay couple? I'm curious if when he donated the sperm, after the child was born, did the lesbian couple want him to sign away his parental rights. Did he sign them away? If he did sign away his parental rights, then forcing the guy to pay child support is wrong.
