interesting.. never been first before.

If I were into romance novels I prolly would have tried it.

dhenkel 2004-01-01 02:06:13 PM
I've never been second. I hesitated posting this because I had Farked the first novel, but I'm pleased with the job of my web designer, and recently completed the second novel.

Seb 2004-01-01 02:35:55 PM
Intriguing. I've never been third. (What are we talking about now?)

dhenkel, good for you in writing your novels. I probably won't get a chance to read them anytime soon, but maybe sometime.

pkjun, that would almost be excusable if you hadn't just posted a minute earlier, thereby demonstrating that you had to be aware of all the other posts.

It took 36 years to grow this beard, and I'll be arsed if I'm cutting it off.

I wonder if dhenkel is amused with the direction this thread has gone.

I read a few pages of The Tender Fire to get an idea of the story and writing style. I don't know what makes a good novel, so here's my simple opinion.

It was a little confusing when the narrator changed from the main page to page one. The plot moved along quickly at first, maybe too quick. Then, there were times I got lost in the dialog or the flow.

Maybe I'll finish it sometime. But there's only so much time in the day, and so many fark links to read.

Oh yeah, 37!

39. In reply to Seb: I like this thread. The main page is just a snippet from the novel. It actually begins with page one. :)
